PappyMason:Your post shows the type of upbringing your parents gave to you. If you are so confident of the capabilities of the phony PhD holder, why don't you make him the head of your family house? Go and find out what the Fx rate was when GEJ came in and what it was when he was leaving. |
smuth:You don't want to go all legal with me. Trust me bro. |
This makes me remember the PDP Governorhip Primaries that produced Jimi Agbaje in Lagos. It was as if lunatics were having a reunion. ![]() The total number of votes cast far exceeded the number of ballot papers. Dumb thieves.

smuth:Keep your bad manners within the confines of your father's house. |
Seun Kuti, you want to starve Chukwudi44? |
OP, you almost fooled me there! That's actually Emeka Ike posing as Mr Ibu's wife! |
This is the sort of role that fits GEJ perfectly, a ceremonial head with no decision making powers and no need for much spotlight. Just appear before the cameras, say a word or two, smile and go. |
some suspected cultists have abducted a former leader of their group, Godwin Victor, aka Sangba, in the Akoka area of Lagos State. PUNCH Metro gathered from family sources that Sangba was kidnapped by cultists, who were his friends and members of the gang he once led. The gang members were said to have been displeased with his decision to quit the group and embrace normal life. Sangba reportedly left the group due to constant harassment by the police and for safety concerns. Our correspondents were told that the 30-year-old Akwa Ibom indigene had recently returned to the community from Port Harcourt, when he was abducted on Friday. When our correspondents visited his residence on Solanke Street, they met his family members who said efforts to find him had proved abortive, just as his telephone numbers had been switched off. His wife, Eniola, said her husband had returned from Port Harcourt where he relocated to due to threats to his life. She said, “My husband is very popular in this community. Because of that, whenever there was a fight involving his friends and people’s property were destroyed, the police would arrest him. “He became unhappy with the bad name they were giving him, and he called them and said he wanted to quit street fighting. “He met other cult groups and appealed to them to embrace peace and lay down their weapons.” She said the groups agreed to a truce in December last year. PUNCH Metro was told that a few months after the truce, sanity returned to the area. But some of Sangba’s friends, who were opposed to the development, attacked him. Eniola said one of her husband’s friends shot him at a party in April, adding that he narrowly escaped. “From that time, he stopped coming to the house and started lodging in a hotel nearby. “When the stress became too much for him, he decided to relocate to Port Harcourt. While he was away, there was another bloody clash in Bajulaiye and Ebute; two people were killed. When he heard, he was disturbed and told his friends to stop the fighting. He wondered what they were fighting for.” PUNCH Metro learnt that the victim later returned to Lagos on Wednesday, June 3, to look after his family and perfect plans to travel outside the country. “When he arrived, he called one of those boys, who he trusted, and told him that he only came to get his travelling documents,” Eniola added. It was learnt that the victim went to a club on Friday, when the gang attacked and abducted him. Another friend, who was with him, Toheeb Akinpelumi, was said to have been injured before he escaped. Sangba’s mother, Eme, said the family reported the matter at the Bariga Police Division. She lamented that her son had yet to be found, urging the kidnappers to release him. She said, “Since they kidnapped him on Friday, his phone numbers have been switched off. I have not been able to eat. He is my source of happiness and joy. I appeal to his friends, Anarchy, Ade and others, to release him. If he offended them, they should forgive him. “Ade and Anarchy lived with me for two years and I fed them. “After the disagreement started, they chased my son with guns, saying they would kill him. “At another time, they came to the house and when they did not meet him they broke the television and said they would return.” A police source told our correspondents that the victim was kidnapped by Anarchy, Rotimi, Lati, Ade and others, who were loyal to late Segun Ogere, aka Shaggy. Shaggy was killed by suspected cultists while returning from a court, where he was the principal witness, sometime in 2014. The source said, “We have declared many of them wanted, especially Anarchy. He was responsible for the death of Saka Haruna and one Idowu, who was shot dead on July 10, 2011. He has killed no fewer than 11 people in Ilaje community. We are looking for him.” The Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, said he would get back to our correspondents. But he had yet to do so as of the time of filing this report. http://www.punchng.com/metro/lagos-cultists-abduct-former-leader-for-leaving-gang/ |
May God protect the men who have signed up to protect us from criminals and terrorists. How many of us would agree to be dodging bullets and bombs a pay of less than 200k per month? Officer, get well soon! |
francizy:U dey find my trouble. ![]() |
Most of those supporting FFK are ignorant of the enormity of the looting FFK supervised as Minister of Aviation. If the devil himself were to be a Nigerian (and I strongly suspect this), he would still have supporters. |
There is a level to which 'toasting' can take you. When you get there, you would be dropped like a bad habit and a competent person drafted in your place. Packaging is good, performance is better and a combination of the two is the best! |
OP, thou sayest true words. Verily I say unto you, there remaineth one member of this forum that selleth cars he haveth not and refuseth to refund funds obtained by his cunningly devised fables. In simple english, be careful of scams and ask the seller why he is selling so as not to buy cars obtained by fraud, robbery or inspired stealing. |
It remaineth not only Coke, but includeth Teem, Mirinda and La Casera. Veryily I say unto you, thou openeth these drinks and there escapeth no gas from the bottle thereof. |
kosplateau:Shey those wey dey run be enemy of government> ![]() |
Just yesterday here on NL, there was a lady asking us if it was alright to make her married lover leave his lawfully wedded wife for her just because he took her "abroad". Stay here in Nigeria, improve yourself, get a business to do or learn a trade, they won't listen. The same Nigeria they are running from is where Arabs, Asians and Europeans are running to in droves just to invest. Afterall, Dangote made his money here in Nigeria. |
OP, please, don't let greed blind your reasoning. A married man is not yours to take. Taking you abroad on a visitor's visa is a big deal to you, I think you need to think with your brain and not your throat. Please, spare yourself the accompanying heartaches and flee! |
kishimi8:On behalf of the Progressives and the Wailing wailers, all I can say is "Adieu Saraki". |
Some hungry puppies of doubtful ancestry would just come and announce themselves as Yoruba Youth. The only way this band of clowns can help Saraki is to hire competent lawyers to defend him. |
My prayers and thoughts are with the family, I hope they find him soon. |
happney65:Give those small rats time and you would know that when the mother rat gets old, it feeds off the milk of its young ones. Where was Dbanj before he met Jazzy? Years after he clashed with Jazzy, he still can't find his feet musically. |
Ziggyzito:Calm down. Jazzy can't have another Dbanj, I agree. What he's doing is to create other acts that would outshine Dbanj. Isn't it the same Dbanj that couldn't dish out 3 decent tracks tonight? Dbanj is already a spent force and is just clutching on straws. |
Truth is that as at today, Dbanj needs Jazzy to help him musically as even Wande is faring better in music than Dbanj. However, Jazzy doesn't need Dbanj as Dbanj is merely going to be a negative influence and distraction to the Mavin group. When Dbanj had the opportunity to stand by Jazzy, he blew it. Hence, Jazzy is not willing to give him any chance I hope they can work things together tho. |
Legally, this is just a piece of plastic. By the time Protea is sued, they would realise that a worthless piece of plastic can't change the laws on Vicarious Liability, Negligence, Agency and Criminal Responsibility. By the way, if this disclaimer trends on Twitter, it would cause considerable PR damage to Protea. In summary, stay at Protea at your own risk as the hotel doesn't care about your welfare on its premises. |
fuckerholic:I am not responsible for your frustration, take it elsewhere. |
Specialiste:I think the playing of opposition politics should be left for politicians and not the leaders of thought. Now, if a group rejected a certain political party just because they decided to play opposition politics, what moral grounds do they have to demand political appointments from the political party they rejected? If you want to be Okoro, be Okoro. If you want to be Okafor, be Okafor. there is no point being Okoroafor. |
juligon:Where is the criticism? I spoke the plain truth. Any pastor that collects money in God's name but spends it in his name is a thief. |
When they buy Keke, they put Jesus is Lord, but when they buy Jet, they write their own names like Emmanuel. Some Pastors fly even more than witches today. |
philfrey08:So, containers and trucks should keep falling like rain? |
With PDP, light is darkness, stealing is not corruption, rigging is legal, truth is evil and crime is a way of life. Just like the one in Rivers state who couldn't read his own handwriting, this one with eyes as big as egg rolls claims he can't see. In all we do, let the law always guide our actions cos one day, the people we are trying to protect would deny us but the law would never deny us. |
400billionman:There is no agency named such since there is no enabling legislation creating them. At best, they can be described as a gang of thugs. |
Kingspin:I think Vanguard is just asking useless questions meant to stir religious strife. This journalistic almajiri newspsper has reporters in the Presidential Villa meeting with the President everyday but it prefers to give the story a religious twist to score cheap points. Let them pack their writing pads and recorders and ask Buhari straight up. |
