Hello mr physics, great work you're doing I must confess, you seems to be a focus young man trying to achieve your dreams despite the environment and country we live. You being on fiverr for close to three solid years it is advisable for one to register with a Nigerian address on fiverr? And also if you can consider me as an apprentice (as a writer) to gain a little bit of experience before I dive into fiverr. Thanks as I anticipate your advice on this.
Everything you need to know about Fiverr has been repeatedly explained on nairaland. Just go to the business section and search for the thread "How to become a level 2 seller in month."

About 2 years ago, I decided to stop chasing money on Fiverr by accepting all jobs. I restricted myself to a certain number of orders and has been working with a dedicated writer since 2018.

Ask any nigerian living in Ghana if what you are saying is true. I told you I registered a company in Ghana in 2010 and it took me less than six hours and you are saying it’s not true? I don’t need to check any link to anything because I am in Ghana. You living in Nigeria wants to tell me you know more about what is happening in Ghana than me who lives here?
Can you quote where I said it will take years to register a company in Ghana? If you can't, then stop arguing because it seems like you are just making irrelevant argument.

I don't know how you registered a company in Ghana in 6 hours, even US is not so. New Zealand with the best ease of doing business can't do same. It shows how flawed their system is. Now Ghana has desired to optimize their processes by making it more efficient and doing things the right way. Most of their government processes are still being manually done and done inefficiently. Now when you go to a country, the first things to check with government is how is their ease of doing business which starts with the incorporation process, how is tax being paid and TCC gotten, how efficient, how is their stock exchange being done.

As at 2020, including the company you registered in 2010, you can't verify or validate anything about it online. Your documents were manually generated and when they have a lot of them being done that way, in future (which is now for them), they will see the weakness. Now I told you something as someone who was involved in the meeting with the delegation from Ghana government and you don't want to believe.

Tell me about the organization in Ghana and I will agree with you, but when it comes to efficiency in governance and government processes they don't even understand it. I just gave you their GRA same as FIRS, their RGD == CAC website to confirm they are ways behind us.

How do you get your Tax Clearance Certificate? How to you do your annual returns, what about other post incorporation processes? You don't do them, maybe it's the reason you don't know how inefficient their processes are.

And since you want to hear that Ghana is better than Nigeria, and since it's what makes you happy, then hear it, and atleast be happy. But whenever you want to compare African countries with Nigeria, spare us the insult of bringing Ghana to the equation. Just talk about South Africa, Egypt, etc and not Ghana.

Mr, Physics I don't think you are right on many scores. it is not true that in 2018 it took years to register a company in Ghana. That is totally false. I registered a company in Ghana in 2010 and it took me less than six hours. what do you mean Ghana sent a top agency to nigeria to learn how to run things. run what things? What do you mean by things? you mean Ghanaians did not know how to run things before 2018? that is another falsehood. blatant falsehood

but why do nigerians always seek to take credit for other peoples success? many years ago Nigerians sent Ghanaians back to their country. they went back and rebuilt their country. Today, you nigerians want to take credit for the Ghana success story? By the way, the Ghana journey to success did not start in 2018. It started many years ago, so I don't even know what you are talking about.

as far as Nigeria's internal politics is concerned, I don't want to dabble into it because it none of my business. another thing I will tell you is that a people deserve the leaders they get. after all your leaders were not elected or appointed by Ghanaians. Or were they?
Bro, I don't aim to join issues, I just wanted to correct some of the things most people do not know.

https: //rgd.gov.gh/Company%20Registration.html

https: //gra.gov.gh/forms/
etc

The two sites above are for Ghana Company Registration and Ghana Revenue Authority websites. Visit is and check with CAC and FIRS websites. Until 2020, Ghana hasn't figured out how to automate these processes that they still do it manually.

They are a whole lot of things about Ghana that is still manually done, waste a lot of time that Nigeria has fully automated. I didn't make reference to things I was told, I made reference to things I was involved in. I gave you a screenshot. If you are not convinced, then so be it.

I just told you the working model of Ghana which is get the people sane and law abiding. Unlike Nigeria where everyone is lawless, disobedience and all bad things is most valued. I am very much aware of ghana systems which are still very much manually done. These are things that we have moved far from and advancing. The who is who in Ghana can never say Who are Nigerians.

What you posted is nonsense. Absolute nonsense! If you are smart, you will drop this foolishness. Nigeria’s economy in the past few years is a complete disaster! On all indices, Ghana is far ahead of Nigeria. Name one area that Nigeria is doing better than Ghana?
In December 2018, the Ghanaian government sent a team from one of their top agency to Nigeria. The purpose was to learn how our government do things. We handle a service for the government and they came to that unit where we explained to them how we do the things we do. Interesting to note that, what you see in Ghana is just human organization. Unlike Nigeria that is a country of lawlessness, Ghana and her citizens are well organized and composed. Their model of development is to get the people sane and development would be quick, while Nigeria is running a model of leadership being the solution to our problems.

Both has an advantage and disadvantage.

During the highlevel meeting with the representatives of Ghanaian government, we discovered that we are miles away from them. In fact, most of our government processes are more optimized and organized than what you can find in Ghana. For instance, it takes only 48 hours to register a company in Nigeria and everything is automated. Same is not so with Ghana, it will take them years to figure it out. Most FIRS processes are currently automated, same is not so with Ghana whose processes are still at the manual level.

Our use of IT and cloud/web based applications for optimized processes is far beyond what Ghana can think of in the next 10 years.

After submitting an application to do same service for their government, they came back to us that their government wants an IT company in Ghana to do it. With the screenshots taken, I doubt they will figure it out. I have followed the project and I can tell you that they are yet to figure it out.

Nigeria is not the way it should be, and while the people continue to agitate for good governance, we should also improve ourselves so as to be ready for the good governance. Sanitizing the lawlessness in Nigeria will take nothing less than 20 years.

Attached please a screenshot of the proposal cover given to their team lead.

What power system do they use?
By stopping all nuclear reactors in 2021, Germany will turn to electricity importer for the first time in recent years. Buying electricity from France (Nuclear). Since they have the money, it's not a big deal. But truth is, they won't remain energy efficient but will depend on importation of clean energy.

From your analysis, NPP will be very efficient from this stale method Nigeria is using to generate power.

I will like to know your thoughts on Wind Turbine & Solar System[/b] if those can also be implemented since they won't be costly like NPP

I read somewhere, last year or so where Germany or one European country were begging & willing to pay their citizens to use power because it was too much.

What power system do they use?
You are very correct. There's still a lot of things that needs to be done before we go nuclear. Now two questions arises:

1. Do one needs to learn how to use a laptop before buying one?
2. Does owning a laptop force one to know how to use a laptop/phone.

Of course this analogy may not work but it will surely help in seeing what needs to be done.

I think they should be energy mix in Nigeria just like every advanced countries do. Nigeria is too large to use one source. So everything including solar, wind, etc should be used. Nuclear only comes with a lot of advantages. One of which is the fact that once a nuclear power plant is started, it will produce energy for atleast 6 months. With newer reactor designs, one can do fuel maintenance while in operation. Imagine having a constant electricity for atleast 6 months nonstop giving to industries, etc at a cheap rate. What effects do you think it will have to our economy and SMEs?

Lastly, the management has assured us with their plans, how important they take our competencies. We have been assured that the competencies needed to effectively function in the sensitive Nuclear Industry must be giving to us before we leave. According to them, it is risky not to do so and they won't. So professors and lecturers are mandated to ensure competency is prioritized and not grade. Because even if you get Cs or Ds all through which is a pass mark, without the competency, you will insult the school and the French system in the labour market.

I like the French for this, they are very thorough. They go through the process and make sure you get everything. They value their Grande Ecole schools and strive to live up to the expectations. The learning experience though difficult is perfect to me. The lecturers are people with wealth of experience in the industry. We had lecturer who was in Chernobyl when the accident happened and other leading experts in the field. It's amazing anyway.

Lastly, I am fine and I pray we are all fine. Sorry, I didn't accompany these updates with any picture grin grin

Things are not getting back to normal in France. We have been told not to expect to live our normal life anytime soon. The daily cases are decreasing but expected to rise again after the lockdown is lifted May 11. Hence the reason they extended the Covid-19 emergency service to July 24th. We hope not to go into lockdown again.

The French Schools are already adapting to recommendations from government. To this effect, my school and other schools are already sensitizing students who wish to travel should they see flights. New intakes for September 2020 won't resume physically. They will use the online learning system until end of the year. Physical resumptions for new masters program will only happen in January 7th, 2020 huh huh

For us, they are implementing the recommendations from government, making sure they are no more than 10 persons in the class and that physical distancing is maintained, school cafeterias closed, and that the entrance gate/area is different from the exit area. Also being suggested is that, most of the things we are not able to cover due the online situation such as some modelings, practicals, and some calculation classes be moved to February 2021 or beginning of September.

Worst of all, they are anticipating a possible repeat of the semester huh huh after our second year. We have been informed and though we rejected it, it's still in the picture.

Sad and most unfortunate, the outlook of things in Nigeria is not good. There are tough times ahead. The coming months won't be good in Nigeria. Owing also to the fact that most people joke alot in the country, enhanced by the ignorant population, what lies ahead is beyond the comprehension of most Nigerians. huh huh huh

Not trying to put fear in you but I don't think the country will remain the same end of this month and the coming months. God should just help us all. I tried to analyze the situation and I can tell you most certainly that situation is not good. Nigeria is in it's earliest phase of Covid-19.

Everyone just played to the waiting prophesies of experts and upon us it's almost getting fulfilled. Expected to peak in September 2019, Nigeria have the tendency to remain the epicenter of Covid-19 in Africa. What is happening to the population in America will likely play out. Sorry, it was hard to write this to you but you have to brace up.

I haven't turned 30, grin grin but I don't have any dreams for 30 or any age. I think it is important that we all have an independent and unique way of living this life. The country is working on a group theory, people trying to be like others or greatly influenced by others who sometimes are expert biased.

So during my NYSC, someone introduced me to Fiverr. It hasn't been easy but I have made about N10m from it since mid 2017 that I started. I got every info from nairaland. And it has transformed my life in a very positive way.

I didn't stay up to 3 months post NYSC before getting a job. I should have turned it down since I was comfortable already with the earnings I got on Fiverr without stress. But I needed to have the experienced and I must confess, it's been the most impressive time of my life.

Although throughout the 2 years I worked in Abuja, I earned more from Fiverr every month grin grin However, the things I learned was worth the experience. The people I have met and the inputs I made to the country was most significant to me. I worked in a good place, not that the pay is close to oil company, but then, I was appreciated. The inputs I made was duly acknowledged and my presence changed a lot of things. Before leaving the country, I submitted my resignation letter and the MD rejected it. We concluded that when I come back, I will work for them and not the government huh huh

The four paragraphs above summarized everything I know about life. It has to be simple, humble, and above all you have to be independent. I have achieved a lot of things that could be classified as impressive and yet haven't turned 30. So this week, I concluded the second land purchase, a 2 plots of land valued for N2+m. Coming here, I knew I wouldn't be looking for work though it's impossible to work and study in my school (almost true in France). But I knew doing my Fiverr work is something that is constant. It's not stopping expect if anything happens to my Fiverr account.

We are hustlers and it shall thus remain irrespective of where we are or work.

Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you are staying safe.

We have been engaged in the last weeks and days, being stuck before the screen of your laptop for hours everyday is unarguably, one of the most difficult ways of learning. Like its been established, the French Education System is difficult and complex. Conducting exams online is something most of them won't agree to. They will look for a way to subject you to their poor grading system. We have written one exam thus far (of course online) and we have two this coming week. Tuesday and Friday. Instead of adopting online exam, all of them opted for oral exam. In this method, you come in sessions of 30 minutes each. Turn on your system camera and audio, and respond to the questions as they come. This is the model of the two exams we have this week. But the previous exam was strange. We all connected to the zoom session, the lecturer shared the exam question on zoom, and we began to answer the questions on our MSWord. After 30 minutes, he requested we send the document to him via email. He confirmed receipt of the entire document before ending the session. This is strange, I don't even know why they choose this method. Well, they do not trust the integrity of most students. However, some scholars in other schools are giving some questions and asked to submit before a particular time. Which is good. My school will surely overdo and impose their bad marking scheme on us all.

Last semester was difficult for me. I had no idea the French are reserved and conservative with everything. The results shocked me huh huh . Battling with upgrading the poor education received in Nigeria, coping with the seemingly new field, and coming up after 4 years of leaving the university, everything was so hard. When the results came out, it wasn't looking good neither was it looking bad. I just didn't get the right grades in where I wanted. I was 0.4 points below the distinction range. The hope that things would turn around this semester having understood the system and knowing how some of them are impressed, this hope was adversely affected by Covid-19. Now, we are all learning new ways of passing. In a country where alot is placed on grade, it becomes irrelevant not trying to get a good grade and becomes necessary to understand the concept and competencies than the grades. Whichever way, there's no reason not to get good grades. We have to hustle it up.

But I like the French people or say system, though difficult but one thing is sure, you will get all the competencies you need.

Alright bro. What you should do is to try the withdrawal of a little amount of money. This way, you will be able to know the landing time, landing amount and if there are other hidden charges from your bank.

I initiated a $$ withdrawal to a dorm account yesterday (withdrawal to access bank) and it landed same yesterday. But if I had done same to a naira account (Zenith Bank), it will take sometimes because you will have to write a letter to your bank confirming source of fund and also exchange rate.

Direct bank withdrawal remains the best anyway.

The fact that sales on Fiverr has been unstable is a common knowledge. Some of us experienced sellers were pushed to the last page leaving us to our old clients. Most often, the rate of return of old clients is very low. To remain stable, you surely do need orders from new buyers. With a gig on the last page, this becomes more difficult.

In the last months of 2019, things changed for me. My monthly earnings fell to $500 -700, it even went further down that even the times I made $300, it was a struggle. However, during these long period of order scarcity, earnings hovered around $400 to $600 per month. With 90% of them coming from old sellers. To cut the story short, my recent experience on fiverr isn't anything 'encouraging' but we have to remain steadfast.

This April, my old clients with few other new buyers came to my aid. Helping me to achieve my old dream of $1k+/month. I can't remember the last time I made $1k/month, maybe August 2019. The closes I have been to $1k is $800+/month. Things have really changed and more of this experience is expected since my gig is still in the last pages of Fiverr.

Even when I had about 7 orders in queue, nothing changed about my gig impression, position, etc. This is not supposed to be so. So to everyone experiencing this, we can only hope for the best. But we have to face the current reality, everything is changing on fiverr, and new sellers are giving better opportunities by pushing their gigs to the front page. Let's keep the hope positive. May the month of MAY bring with it and to us, great sales and earnings.

Good morning.

If you think the nuclear field is where nepotism will hit, then I am convinced that irrespective of who becomes the president, the country won't move forward.

It takes on average 6-7 years to build a nuclear power plant. This will be built by Russians (as the country has decided), they will operate it for sometime while simultaneously training people to take over. Even after finishing my intensive postgraduate study in Nuclear Engineering, I still have to be trained in the Nuclear facility for close to a year to be able to fully involved. This is done everywhere.

It's a field you don't want to bring nepotism.

Lol, design houses to replace power hungry appliances, in current Nigeria? There's difference between research results and reality. Research is cool, but it needs to be transformed into a form that can be used. On daily basis, there are alot of research results being published, these results excites our minds of the next generation houses. The Life of Tomorrow.

Let's come back to reality bro, even if we are going to adopt solar, we will probably go the Germany way. Where they used Nuclear to attain energy efficiency and are now shutting down their nuclear reactors to focus on solar and also purchase from France. However, it is practically impossible to achieve energy independence using solar option.

If you want to power your house in Nigeria, you don't buy a generator that can power the entire street or local government, you buy a generator for own apartment or house only.

if Nigeria or other African countries with electricity issues want to industrialize, all they have to do is build industrial estates and send electricity to that industrial estate from solar, wind. you don't need a nuclear plant or dam to power an industrial or manufacturing estate..

the problem wirinet, Reference and mr physics is not solar energy its superiority complex of downplaying other people's opinions and rubbishing the suggestions of others, its a very common trait in human nature.
Since you want me to fully respond to why we shouldn't use solar as the ONLY source of electricity.

Solar is a great source of electricity, it's clean, and cheap. It should be a first choice of any country because there's no adverse effect unlike Nuclear PP. However, using Solar alone in a country like Nigeria is impossible and not advisable. Here's why:

Population: The population of Nigeria is much and growing exponentially. Energy demand of this population is increasing such that generating an equivalent energy for the population would require installing a solar panel in a land almost as big as the size of a state. This alone is impossible.

Dependence on Sun: Solar energy is completely dependent on sun. At light, we need to rely on the low energy generated and the ones stored in the battery. Such battery would pose alot of problem, coupled with the cost of producing such number of batteries for a big project like this.

Industrialization: For industries that require 24/7 electricity, Solar energy becomes a big no.
No additional usefulness: Solar energy is only used for energy and nothing else.

Now, this is why Nuclear Power Plant is important if any state wants to experience it's first uninterrupted power supply for atleast a month

Sustainability: A nuclear power plant is built to last for more than 50 years
Industrialization needs: Energy from nuclear power plant can be used to power any industry effectively.
Consistency: Wants a NPP starts, it will produce electricity for at least 6 months. New reactor designs are made such that reactor fuels can be changed or arranged while in operation. A reactor fuel assembly can go for 6 cycles, which is about 3 -5 years. Imagine being able to consistently generate electricity for 5 years
Independent: Nuclear source of electricity does not depend on anything. It's season or climate independent. Whether rainy or dry season, you are guaranteed of constant electricity.

Additional usefulness: Once you have a nuclear reactor, you begin to produce radioisotopes used in nuclear medicine, used in storage of foods and agricultural products, used in treatment of cancer. It opens opportunity for other technological advancement in different areas.

There are even other battery chemistries better than lithium, like salt water batteries, that are recyclable.

Truth is, even with the rains, Africa still has the perfect weather for Solar power and if other countries with lower sun hours in Europe can generate upwards of 10,000mw of electricity through solar, then who are we to say it’s not feasible with our weather?
Lol, the point is that you have to force every Nigerian to use the battery in order to keep recycling it. For how long? Those countries in Europe using solar still depend on France for electricity. Hence, the reason France remains the biggest electricity exporters in Europe. You know why? About 85% of their electricity come from Nuclear. It is clean and safe. The safest in Europe.

Lol, you made a valid visualization of the energy mix or model that Nigeria should operate on. We shouldn't depend on only one source. We should have alot of sources. One striking advantage of Nuclear Power Plant is that once you start it, you will be sure you will have 24/7 electricity supply for the next 6 months except in emergency shutdown mode. It does not depend on anything apart from accidents. But Solar depends on weather conditions which is constantly changing. Depending on the intensity of the wind, it could destroy your panels, or you may not have enough sun during rainy season.

But Nuclear doesn't depend on anything.

really??

From what I've seen so far, nuclear accidents seems more serious than both combined..
Lol, Nuclear Reactors are built to short itself should it experience uncommon conditions such as natural disaster. Most nuclear accidents occurred not because the reactors failed to short down but due to natural disaster leading to the inability of the reactor to continue it's cooling process. Chynobly, Fukushima, all happened because the reactor was over flooded. Same can happen to anything including a building falling due to flooding and the rest.

Nuclear Power Plants are the most safest

I have a question for you.
Do you know that the food you eat come from solar energy perhaps your house, car etc
Or do you know the amount of energy the sun delivers to Earth every day.
Do you know that nuclear fission energy is not renewable, though it doesn't affect CO2 level, but it is not good to the environment
What do you mean by the emboldened? Are you speaking from your head knowledge or from a state of known?

Short half-life? How short? We are still talking about decades here. I doubt you are an expert on the subject man. Did you say 90%? Can you provide the source of this information? The concerns of the media is well-placed. Nigeria and Africa at large is not ready for nuclear power.
I have provided you with the data. It's actually an internal source but if you are in the industry you should know what the abbreviations are. I can also tell you what is classified as VLLW and LLW

Bruv I have nothing to prove to u man.
90% of all nuc waste are low to intermediate level radioactive waste meaning they have a short half life. This ain't about providing u with info source. I work in this industry so I know what am saying. If u want prove inbox me x
Actually Nigeria ain't which I think we all know but a few African countries are on their way to adopting nuc - SA already have one, Rwanda is in the process I believe
Exactly, majority of the wastes are LLWs with short half lives.

Most of them are not into the industry and will find it even difficult to understand even when you make it so simple for them. They have so programmed their brain that it is dangerous.

Will send a DM

Chief I like your answers on this thread.

However, on Chernobyl, as this sauce puts it

There is even the allegation that the personnel were carrying out an 'unapproved experiment with the machinery' ie having fun by seeing how fast the reactor could go or something like that.
Yeah but without the flood caused by Tsunami and the Civil Engineering construction problem, such wouldn't have occurred. And After the chernobyl accident, a lot has been done to improve their reactor safety.

When we learned of the reactor power and operation, it was fun seeing how we can manipulate the reactor power. I can't wait for the reactor simulation course to simulate it.

So I understand when operators are trying out some things during reactor operation. Let me say it's common anyway.

This is the unfortunate truth most Nigerians don't know. We need nuclear energy but it should be handled by the French.
They signed a deal with Russia because Russia promised to own the cost of production and recover it after launch. Most countries such as Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Nigeria, etc are choosing to go that way.

France can't make such commitment, though I prefer their solution.

Germany must be a very small country, because Germany generates 9.1% of its electricity from solar and up to 24.8% by wind - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_power_in_Germany

Putting money in solar is the best investment Nigeria and Nigerians can embark upon now.
What about the rest of it's energy? Bought and supplied from France. Do you have such option?
