Oh my gawd...get a room you two! angry

I am always cringing when I hear black mind or black unity because what is that really about?

I have met black folks who abhorly dislike the term first black president because Obama isn't 100% black.

I do not expect black folks to think or agree alike but I do expect black folks to get tired of being on the bottom of the totem pole.

Let me fix my hubby his breakfast so he can quit looking at me cockeyed.

Be back to finish.
On point Sis..some men don't just have respect for women, they expect women to do all the work (emotional and physical) while they sit back as Demi gods and Nag. Most men end up marrying informal housegirls (Not for love), while they flex outside with sophisticated ones..rubbish
I dey like. cheesy

DailyNews: Lolz.

Internet, blogs, media will ruin many lives!!

Don't follow another single lady's counsel cos it may work for her and fail u...be careful and wise! Over education, exposure, westernization and open eye has ruined the lives of many single ladies today.

Meanwhile, any man that abuses women or kids physically is better dead than living, and I encourage ladies to avoid any man who hits them cos its an act of inhumane!!!
But they are supposed to follow your advicehuh

ogugua88: Some men sef. If you had that much to offer, then you wouldn't resort to mocking women for getting older or reminding them that their biological clocks are "reaching expiration". I wonder why some get so defensive when such matters arise.
Exactly Oguga! Why are they angry and foaming at the mouth when this thread is clearly about dumb and senseless chicks?

Are we "cockblocking" their game? cheesy

crackhaus: I can't say anything about the men on this site except myself.

I take it only fake and phony women would disagree with the OP abi, and what is this truth you speak of?
Oh well, what you should know is that there are only a few men, and when I say few, I mean really few men who display such behaviour.
I mean, when I should be busy with my job and my hustle, na to dey stalk my girl with incessant IMs and asking for nude pictures or monitoring her every move, or whatever else the OP tried to convince you people of that will be my problem?

The whole thing does not even make sense because I am yet to have a friend, relative or acquaintance who does any of that.
But I wonder why you sef like the post when it's obvious you are already taken as with all the other ladies here who claim to have the best bf in the world.

I'm going back to my back seat now to observe, thank you for calling me out.
I didn't create this thread....I gave the OP a bravo and now you want me to speak for the OP?

ogugua88: Lovely post! Unfortunately, common sense is not common.

It's easy to say these things and hope that unmarried women heed, but the truth is that societal/cultural and family pressures are partly to blame, if not entirely. Also, a lot of women lack the mental and emotional strength required to stand for themselves, or have become complacent with mediocrity and sacrificed self-respect for a husband. It's from a Nigerian woman's mouth that you will hear things like "cheating is the norm; there's nothing you can do about it". Some unluckily marry the wrong man and will still quote the Bible and tell you that under no circumstances, adultery and domestic violence inclusive, can a woman file for divorce. That's disheartening and is setting a very wrong trend for our daughters to follow. I don't know from where the "a woman's pride is her husband/marriage" came, and I don't know how or why it's unofficially compulsory for a woman to marry before a certain age, hence making some women rush and settle for sub-par males, but it's part of the reason why some men see themselves as gods and do as they wish to them.

Nothing could be truer than the last part of your post. Society, culture, tradition, and even family won't change, not fast enough anyway. The change that's so greatly needed as per this topic can only come from women changing their mindsets and loving themselves to the point that they will not settle for less, even if it means waiting a little longer.

A woman should gain more than a man and ring in marriage. She should gain a partner, a teammate, a companion... someone who appreciates her in totality. And guess what? Such men don't come easily, so be patient.
Tell us how you really feel girl. grin

I got into a debate with a Nigerian dude who got three degrees and thought he was the shit.

He has a degree in Human Service, Social Service, and Photography.

When people brag about what group has the most degrees...I always ask what type of degree cos if you got a degree in wiping azz then I wouldn't even brag about that shit.

Jayvarley: @ Bold Yes, race is actually more than skin deep. There are skeletal differences too.
Going by Tupac's features I can see that there had been some recent admixture in his family
even though he was not very light skinned.
2pac clearly has Arabic features if you were to compare him to a standard Arab...meaning predominantly Arab with less admixture.
