Romance › Does Chauvinism Generate Successful And Happy Relationships? by MrsChima(op): 1:49pm On Nov 04, 2012
Does chauvinism generate successful and happy relationships?

There are loads of slobbering boys slithering all over Nairaland crying that feminism is the reason why relationships and marriages are failing. Even said feminism is the reason why a man upper cut a woman on the bus! undecided Now bear in mind...the lady spit on the driver after being told repeatedly to get off the bus. That is a classic example of ignorance to the tenth degree.

It is important that we know proper definitions of words we are going to use in our arguments because it can make us look like a fool. With that being said...chauvinism is when male group think they are superior/better than the female group.

Let compare the difference between chauvinism, feminism, misandry, and misogynism.

Chauvinism=(read the definition in bold) A man thinks that he is better than his female counterparts in every attributes and doesn't value her input. Is that something that you want in your relationship ladies?

Feminism=is an organized activity on women rights and interests. When did fighting for female-human rights is a lesbian and misandry eventhuh Why would a woman in her right man settle for less than equality when nothing in life is promised to her? what happens if the man dies and how would she support herself? You already see threads asking is it okay to date a widow?!! Come on!

Misandry=hatred for men (Misandrist do not interact nor have sexual relationship with men)

Misogynism-hatred for women (Misogynist do not interact nor have sexual relationship with women)

Now that we have the proper definition of all four words....does chauvinism generate successful and happy relationships?

Why do you think some men feel threatened by women knowing and fighting for their rights as human being? Do you think that it is the end of male superiority? Do you think low self esteem and lack of trust play a great part in failing relationships?

Does chauvinism generate successful and happy relationships....the point of the question is because some people are saying feminism is the reason why relationships are failing. Do you agree or disagree?
Well, If you have sex with a person and eventually marry that person, I do not consider that a sin. By choosing to acknowledge your love physically with another person, you are professing your love for them to God. Are you saying i should allow him to answer to his actions and decisions later in life?
I see. It is like saying as long as the robber give 10% tithe to the church...he will be forgiven. It doesn't work like that...a sin is a sin is a sin is a sin is a sin.

Romance › Re: Black Women Smh by MrsChima(f): 1:11pm On Nov 04, 2012
Why is that nigglet still running on about feminism? Feminism don't have anything to do with a man's choice in beating a woman just like it didn't have anything to do with spitting on a man.

Since some of you nigglets are preaching about how women should behave then WHY ARE men behaving like preschool boys? If we are going to go off what is consider normal behavior NEITHER ONE OF THEM WERE behaving the typical gender behavior. There is NOT A CLEAR VIEW of who was the man and the woman.

Two wrongs doesn't make a right and throwing rocks in a glass house is sophomoric.

Let me start preaching about Chauvinism. It is long overdue.
But to me it is still a sin because you werent united by God at the time. It says in the Bible, fornication is sinful.
Then don't commit fornication. You are responsible for self and your children.

Do you think engaged couples who have sex before marriage and gets married after sex are sinners?

2pence: The thing is I have been going out with my girl for 8months now, We do go out sometimes to resturants and she is a type that blabs about knowing how to make basically all recipe, and when she invited me over to her place on a dinner date

I found out she barely even have a clue about cooking business,it was so messy but I had to pretend to make her feel proud; After that I kept thinking about it; She is a type that dislikes being corrected and I have plans of seating her down and make her understand that Iam ready to Pay proffesional for to get proper education on this regards

But I don't want her to feel bad , so how do I go about this ? Pls I need your responses

Thanks.
I told my husband I didn't like how he irons my clothes when he offers to. I have a certain way I want my clothes to be ironed and I like looking nice when I step outside my home. My husband understands and now he irons how I want my clothes to be ironed.

You just keep it straight with your girl and if she loves you she will understand and work on it...if she doesn't....then you know what to do. It is simple.

You do not need a script nor props. Just tell her as respectfully as you can that you do not like her cooking and would offer to teach her if she doesn't mind.

The world doesn't stop on one's opinion of what is right and wrong. If he doesn't think it isn't wrong...let him live. He has to answer to his actions and decisions later in life.

That's the beauty of freewill....let him live his life however he sees fit. It won't affect you one bit unless you allow it to.

Sagamite: Fair enough point.

But it does leave the risk of a negative generalisation and generalisation is a pertinent, useful and frequently used tool for formulating some opinions.

My perception of modern day black women based on simple generalisation is quite negative based purely on apt objectivity.
i am all for people having their perceptions and opinions regardless if it is ignorant or not.that's what make the world go around. However that is the good thing about personal opinions...it is not factual for all

Negative perceptions of Nigerian men didn't stop some non-Nigerian women from marrying, dating, and breeding with Nigerian men.
Negative perceptions of Kim Kardashian and Courtney Stodden didn't stop some non-Black men from putting those that looks like them on a higher pedestal as if their shit don't stank.
Negative perceptions of Black American women didn't stop some
Black American women from flooding universities and colleges. It sure didn't stop a Black American woman with a doctoral degree from being third in power.
Negative perceptions of Nigerian women didn't stop some Nigerian men from leaving their non-Nigerian/non-Black wives and girlfriends to go home and marry Nigerian women in their home land.

Bottom line....no matter how negative perception one has for a certain group, person, thing, place, and notion it is not going to stop the world from spinning and if people worry about what someone thinks of them....they will never be free to live their life because they are too busy living someone's opinion or perception of them.

It is okay to have opinions and perceptions...the only person it affects is you. No matter what a person do....there would always be perception and opinion even after we are dead and gone.

Sagamite

It is not up to grown women to correct grown women just like it is not up to grown men to correct grown men. It is obvious grown men arent doing that seeing black men are on the bottom of the totem pole. Is it the responsibilities of other to tell you which way to go? No. That's parents' job.

Who decide what is norm or expected?
