Family / Re: Must You See A Pastor Before Choosing A Life Partner? by Mrsmansson(f): 10:20pm On Dec 02, 2013
So in my own case where no prophet/pastor has been able to talk/see my future, what happens?
When i was about getting married(i wasnt aware then)my MIL took my name to some pastor. The man couldnt say anything about me.All he said was he was waiting to Hear from his Father(God)
Have been in a church or fellowship house the call all the young ladies out and say things about their future, when its my turn the pastor just says its well or go back to your seat
Me and siblings one time where in my Aunt's house,a pastor was seeing things. He told my siblings and cousins stuffs abt them, then as usual when it was my Turn nothing was said
Am i a naturally Good person or maybe i dont Exist LoL

ifyalways: I wouldn't oh!

I prefer us do all the silly things young couple do, play pranks on ourselves then grow old together.
Ify if your husband is 8 years older than you so you guys wont grow old together?or play pranks?
It all depends on the individual

Once again
Men think with their Penis and not with their brain
The penis controls them.
Once it says to them"do not move with your wife to Kano let her remain in Ogbomosho so you can have time to LASH"
The man says Good idea.

Efemena_xy:

He leaves early to drop his wife and daughter off at work and school - and not for him to get to work that early, as he works from home or is in a position where he can dictate the hours he works (I think).

Besides, how would driving herself to work add to her stress? I don't get it - cant't she drive? Alternatively, she should get a driver to do the commute for her and their daughter.

Driving in Lagos traffic is stressful
Driving herself is not cheap(fuel money)
Totally different from taking a BRT
Getting a driver would be increasing their monthly expense
If only she could get another Job

Ujujoan: I'm sorry poster but all I got from your post was the stress on the baby . . .

how can you wake a baby up by 4.30am because of your job shocked undecided

Can't you guys get a nanny undecided
You are soooo on point.maybe he is one those Nigerians who say"No stranger/nanny in my house.
Family / Re: Married To A Banker; Hell On Earth! by Mrsmansson(f): 6:22am On Nov 19, 2013
Waking a baby by 4:30 is damn too early.i know getting another job in naija is not beans (of which so many Nigerians dont know how to look for a job)but must she continue in the banking sector.
Not just about s ex alone but its way too stressful for you all
Op you have to think outside the box in this case

Madam what is wrong in getting a domestic help.stop stressing urself for nothing, the help must not live with you if that is your fear
Most naija men who live in Nigeria feel they have no business with house chores.your husband might never change oh so just get a help asap

Ujujoan:

So you were staying in their house for free and still expected them to feed you?

Even when she offered you what they had, you rejected it . . . . what exactly were you expecting? For her to go about looking for food for you? undecided
If you cant feed a guest then its better you dont allow them sleep over
What is chin chin? To get 100 naira bread is not too much of a work after all she is not the one baking it in the bakery
Some people dont know how to entertain a guest.thats it

Richfella:

You'll pour acid on someone because he had some harmless fun by the side? Na wa o.
Hmmn harmless fun?how do some men produce love child these days or contract STI's and later deposit it to wifey at home.you know this was exactly what the man seated close to me told me after church.he said madam those girls dont mean anything to our lives they are just cheap girls always ready for s-x because of peanuts.those are harmless fun nah.
Now in the aspect of the pastor,he is not the only one pastoring the church and i dont think its the fault of the church or G.O.some pastors misyarn when preaching, that have noticed
Family / Re: Working On Your Husband's Weaknesses by Mrsmansson(f): 7:49pm On Sep 08, 2013
I thought i was the only one who didnt buy the pastors idea.now let me really explain what he was saying.he wasnt talking about a serial cheat of a husband, he made an illustration with a lady in the former church he pastored.according to him the lady was married to her husband for over 10years and everything was fine but all of a sudden the man started cheating.he kept talking to the lady saying how it was the devil trying to destroy her home and she should have a little patience, accept it as a weakness for now and very soon such stage would pass, but the lady refused and had to do it her own way.she tailed her husband one day to a hotel and poured acid on the girl, unfortunately for her the lady died and the family of the late concubine took it up to the court and now the wife is in prison.
So my pastor is saying a wise woman builds and not destroy.that when your husband wasnt a cheat and as time went on the wife notices it,it shouldnt be a time of fighting.so that was were the cheating as a weakness came in
Funny enough the men seated close to me were saying in a low tone that women dont listen.that no woman gets the husband's attention through fighting
Family / Working On Your Husband's Weaknesses by Mrsmansson(f): 6:06pm On Sep 08, 2013
Okay this is not a personal issue or a men bashing thread. No one is perfect and i believe everyone has a defective quality which differs from person to person.like i had a weakness for chocolates even when pregnant but hubby helped me through.i decided to create this thread because of what my pastor in church said today.he was talking of different weaknesses of men and then really talked about cheating(sexually),he said when a man cheats on his wife, the duty of a wise woman is to take it as a weakness of her husband and take it to God in prayers. Now sincerly how many women can really accept cheating from your husband as a weakness.
In My own opinion if a full grown man who is very okay mentally and otherwise.wife is very ok too,no issue of over weight from the wife or not good in bed then decides to start having s-x with random girls,i wouldnt accept that as a weakness from him.to me is plain selfishness.
Let me hear from other ladies

debrief08: I had previously ignored this thread because the poster can be very rude to me for reasons best known to him but I have to say this.

I am as "Independent" as women come. I always have been.
I advocate for contentment and people to live within their means.
I am not comfortable with her requesting for money for Aso ebi because personally I don't like to follow the crowd especially when I can't afford it and she should learn that now.

However, I will be a hypocrite to say I never received anything from my husband while we were dating. I will call him and request for ice cream and pizza, he will buy and bring, sometimes he will load my phone, once he gave me his own phone to use when I lost mine till he was able to buy me a new one. Does that make me greedy? I doubt.
And this was vice versa, he could call and ask me to help pay his subscription and I would never ask for the money back, He would also request some items when I travled.
If Guiterlife needed money for suits and he was short wouldn't he ask her? If I can help out a friend, what about the person I plan to share my life with?

There is nothing wrong in asking for help or receiving it, anyone who thinks he or she can do it alone in life will die of pride.

Again, I clearly do not accept going with the crowd, she doesn't have ase obi money she shouldn't do.

Should dating folks help each other out YES, what I don't endorse is dating someone solely for material gain.
Yes maam its good for someone to be independent.i doubt if that money was even for asoebi.since its her sisters or cuz's wedding am sure the asoebi must have been free.maybe something else and she just decided to lie to make it urgent.now some people here just kept saying one should never ask who ever you are dating for anything.ha for real?even if the guitar guy is still a student what about even assisting with the 2k shoe rather than bring the conversation here.cant friends help friends.my hubby got me a rechargeable lamp of 2500 in sch while dating.does that make him my father?and could i not afford a lamp.he didnt just want stories of i couldnt study today cos of a lamp.i still beleive that money wasnt for asoebi anyway.their is a friend of mine i kept sponsoring her interview trips around naija and thank God today she is working and funny enough she had boyfriend oh,the guy told her to be independent.i understand he is still a student but if you are not ok with her boldly tell her to go away rather than ridicule her here.
