jidegirl12: Mrs Mansson ....may I ask 'why' if you don't mind?

My Dad almost got killed because of that gun in Nigeria ( long story) ...he still has it but I think it's just useless IMO... I mean , What's the point of owning a firearm when you can't even use it?? undecided

However if you need it for your safety which is a no brainer here....
Best bet is hire opc / armed men ( sss) to follow you everywhere unnoticed. Anybody who raises just a finger not to talk of a whole hand in your vicinity would get the beating of his/ her life. cool

I don't joke with life oh.. Too sweet to take forgranted.

Thanks for your concern.yeah i need it for my safety too but not just that alone and i wouldnt want NL's to take it personal when i state the other reason

Family / Re: Women (especially married), their age and Skinny Jeans by Mrsmansson(f): 4:49pm On Aug 22, 2013
In Nigeria once a woman is married their is a certain way she is suppose to dress so she can addressed properly,so in the issue of the skinny jean/leggings it really brings out ones curves especially if worn with a short top.so to most of our men it doesn't really look modest and we also live our lives in Nigeria according to what people say.sayings like what I'd your pastor/Mil or uncle or an elder in church sees you doing this or that.personally am trying to stop wearing a skinny jean without a long top,not too long tho.the stare I get is enormous and despite the fact that my ring is as big as that of khloe kardashian some of our men refuse to see it maybe since am always on skinny jean so therefore i appear single.

Madam,did u say they r in d uni?
I'm speechless.
May God bless u.
My dear Good people never finish for naija.a woman gave a testimony in church last sunday about her late aunty's son.when the boy came to her house he could barely spell well and he made F's in his waec.if it were to be sum people the boy would become a confirmed washer man and Gate man.so she encouraged the boy and took him back to SS1.he just wrote the recent waec and made A's and B's.the woman was so happy and dancing in church.if anyone needs a help have one but treat them right.

Family / Re: Advice Needed From Mothers And Doctors In The House. by Mrsmansson(f): 12:18am On Jul 28, 2013
That tying of tummy na lazy man job.most Nigerian mothers use it deceiving themselves to achieve flat tummy. From 6-8 weeks you should be ok to start an exercise not just for a flat tummy alone it also helps firms the muscles between your thorax and pelvis that definately got expanded during pregnancy.consult your Doc all the same.

Not only u. That's why I'm against this maid biz.
I've seen cases of child or maid abuse very well.no matter how good u r,u can never lv ur maid like ur blood.
Just yesterday when I took my baby to d clinic,I saw one woman carryin a baby.following her was a small gal with two big handbags that were carryin her instead of the opposite.I took another look at d madam, well dressed and carryin a baby of like 3 months!
Y'day was not public holiday,so no school for that poor gal cos madam is goin to d hospital? Or maybe she don't go at all.

Its really sad.
Am sure the lady you saw with a little girl carrying two big bags might be on nairaland here shouting"Lord have mercy on the dead"Nigerians are very pretentious .Even the neighbours they are all pretenders.truth be told some of our kids are not well behaved than these maids sef.

Was their an order from our Lord God stating that your BIL must live with you.am very confused here.someone who watches Afmag all through should be unemployed na abi.so what is your hubby doing about his staying at home cleaning from one place to another.he should be empowered even if he doesn't want an office job.
Family / Re: Why Did You / Would You Invest So Much On Your Children? by Mrsmansson(f): 12:00am On Jun 22, 2013
Emekuuss: . Who is to blame,
The society or the individuals
?

Life is a market that entails buying and selling.the society has no problem with your decision to buy and sell.but surely society demand and supply exist,if one buys so expensive(uni degree)and can't sell very expensive then such individual is to blame not the society.

biolabee:

damn.. u have a good point there,,

but parents still want to give an edge (+ security) especially with an int'l flavour (residency)

Here in naija if u are brilliant, you will suffer in school with se.x-crazed lecturers, cultists prowling around, police brutality etc while an average guy over there can stil come out an excellent grade

What do you think

Not all schools in naija are packed with what you listed.hope you know coming out with an excellent grade does not guarantee success.that you are a graduate from so so and so uni does not make me want to buy your product(hope you get what I mean by product
Family / Re: Why Did You / Would You Invest So Much On Your Children? by Mrsmansson(f): 12:42pm On Jun 21, 2013
One advise I always tell people.Do not buy so expensive and later sell cheaply.what do I mean?you spend millions of naira in acquiring a uni degree and at the end of the day you are rated just within 80-120 thousand naira in the labour market.By the time you are through with your bills how much is left to give to papa who actually spent such money?people keep complaining about our degraded uni.yeah I agree but my friend a lot of brains graduated from such schools and they are doing so well. But my dear Nigerias would never agree oh.
