Rvp is our best bet for pens. Followed by Rooney ,giggs, scholes.then Anderson,Nani

What did Carrick do wrong now?!!He was on the pitch for about 20 mins and kept things ticking along nicely.

Yeah, Giggs definitely rolled back the years tonight for one of his best performances in a while. Good to see but Im still hoping he retires at the end of this season.

Good to see Nani and Anderson back, hope they catch up to their best form asap.

I personally don't see much in the kid.

Firstly good to get the 3 points. The most important thing really.

1st half was good, sad that we only had 1-0 to show for it. We really should have been out of sight. I thought Carrick was absolutely excellent particularly in the 1st half. But we were very poor in the 2nd half. Couldnt believe how careless we were and could have very easily drawn that match.

I really hope Nani can get back firing as our other wingers are so poor right now. ALso need Anderson to hit the ground running back to full fitness.

Cant believe Welbeck got the MoTM award. ridiculous.

Thought DDG could have done a bit better with the goal but again the sloppiness from our midfielders tippy tapping in front of our 18 didnt help.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 5:33pm On Jan 11, 2013
Nani and Anderson back in squad, Rooney reportedly out. Huge game on Sunday. Not really looking forward to it as our defence has been woeful for sometime now.

Any win will do.

My point is we have conceeded loads of goals without scholes and giggs in the lineup. That would be us covering our ass just because we have rvp.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 5:13pm On Jan 07, 2013
That's not strictly true, how many clean sheets do we have this season?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 4:28pm On Jan 07, 2013
I still want a solid midfielder. We're struggling defensively, I wish we went for javi Martinez.

Also I can't wait for nani to be fully fit.

Yay,good to get another clean sheet. Good strong win and happy Hernandez and rvp are banging them in.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 6:53pm On Dec 27, 2012
StarBoard: Yeah best in the league.
A league that has Petr Cech, Pepe Reina and Joe Hart.
Ask me how line-ups determine that you parry shots to on-coming attackers in successive games.
Ask when the clown with the dodgy beard last kept a clean sheet before ranking him as the best in the division.
Well as good as Hart is he has shown that all keepers have howlers in them not just once but numerous times this season. In fact he has been guilty of the same pushing the ball to oncoming strikers error you blame DDG for numerous times this year. I like Cech though and personally I think Cech is still the best in the division but with Reina, Im sorry but Reina has been awful this season for Liverpool. Infact he's been awful for a while now. DDG is definitely currently better than Reina.

StarBoard: Elementary keeping suggests Newcastle shouldn't have had the first goal.
Similar to the Swansea goal-parrying to the opposition directly in front of you.

But peeps here were slating Lindegaard after the Reading game.
De Gea is a mediocre keeper, abeg.
Far enough, but ddg has shown heis capable of something special. Al has only shown he can be abit more commanding in his area. for every ddg mistke he has pulled off world class saves lindergard hasnt come close to. Ddg is also younger and if given the chance will only get better and could even set us up for the next 10 years.

StarBoard: David De Gea is equally as dodgy as Anders Lindegaard.
He Palmed the ball for Michu to score Sunday.
Did same again today for Toon's opener.
Generally shaky.
Please i Hope the Begovic link is valid.
We Need a decent ans consistent Figure between the sticks. So far none of the two clowns we Parade van help generate any confidence.
Just seen the goals, he was at fault for that one but I'm not having him at fault for michu's goal. It was pretty much a one on one strike and he had to get anything on it, unfortunately it deflected to michu and not Vidic who was in front of it. That was bad luck, but the perch goal was very poor goalkeeping.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 9:01pm On Dec 26, 2012
Didnt see the match so cannot say much about the performance. very unhappy about conceeding 3 goals at home though.
For those who thought we have the title sown up, its not like we've lost the league with an 8 point lead with a month left in the season is it. undecided

RE: Rooney and Valencia. I admit Rooney was beyond awful today. We all know he has those games once in a while but with Valencia its been a pattern for a while now. Everything from decision making to first touch and quality of crossing has been woeful recently and its very frustrating. I really want Nani back. I would prefer to watch Nani stink up the place than Valencia stink up the place personally.

RE: Swansea's goal, Evra was caught sleeping but shouldnt a midfielder have been tracking the Swansea attacker's run considering how deep he made his run from?

On a positive note, Carrick was indeed excellent.

RE: Real Madrid. My main issue is SAF still doesn't think our squad needs strengthening, This is my main worry.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 4:24pm On Dec 23, 2012
All of you complaining about Nani, I hope you're been enjoying Valencia's performances these few weeks? Worst player on the pitch in our last 3 matches.

Carrick and the whole team were awesome in the first half. some of our play was very very impressive. The passing and movement was possibly some of our best passing and movement in a while. Obviously all that went away in the 2nd half but good to see we kept our heads.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 2:30pm On Dec 15, 2012
With city beating Newcastle currently it'll be typical of us to drop points in this match.

I definitely understand fergie going for rvp because a world class player with guaranteed goals at the price is simply unmissable especially if the player also wants to join.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 5:02pm On Dec 09, 2012

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 4:44pm On Dec 09, 2012
Well that's what world class players do. Huge win which I never expected but I did think the performance wouldnirpve with the mobility cleverly gave us and also Ashley young picked a good game to have his best performance of the season. Rvp was quiet but what a winner. Overall a top performance I really wasn't expecting that good a performance. We were very sloppy on defending those city goals mainly the first one were Carrick should really have done better getting to yaya. And then the 2nd goal no one marking the edge of the box is crazy.

Onwards and upwards.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 11:06pm On Dec 01, 2012
I missed the match but I've seen the goals. By all accounts our defending was very poor again. I still put that down to our poor defensive midfield cover as has shown for a while now. Admittedly the defence itself could do with some fine tuning and stability. Also Ddg needs to be the number one, the chopping and changing must stop. Ddg vs al performance this season, Ddg has been far better.

I do fear city can and should put 6 past us again. embarassed
