pappilo: Was it proven that he gave the child acid to drink? A vulcaniser may have had a "acid" at home as a tool of his trade. Couldnt a child have drank the "acid" accidentally? I as out one day and got a call from the missus that my 3 year old son had been found in the toilet with bleach all over him. If he had drank this bleach, should my missus have been charged with attempted murder?Did you read the story? The baby was 4 months old, can it even sit talk less of drinking anything! |

Malubi: What do FBN mean by Business Casual dress code for ability Test. Please somebody should help.If your a guy you can wear Chinos with a Blazer, no tie, or dark jeans with Blazer, or fitted shirt with Chinos, Basically smart but not a suit and tie. For ladies no trousers, I'd think , a smart Dress or skirt and shirt, or pleated trousers with a semi formal shirt. Anything Smart that is not a corporate suit! Don't go too Casual, I'd say definitely no light blue jeans, keep it Dark down, a bit lighter up, and this goes for the ladies too. A Blazer will be safest if you have one. |

I posted this on another page, but I'm going to post it again here because I think it's relevant to this post and cannot be said enough. Enjoy or not I have noticed on nairaland that many people don't like to listen to constructive criticism! How then do they expect to improve? From my observation ,this particular forum is for careers and to be honest, after reading some comments , I often wonder how many members here ever expect to obtain a job! What baffles me the most is the way some people have of expressing themselves, their grammar is peculiar and if that is what they go to an interview with, although I am aware of the high rate of unemployment or unavailability of jobs, I'm not surprised they are not being employed! Whatever happened to self improvement? Why are the unemployed not using their time to improve their skills , even voluntary jobs are an opportunity to acquire some much needed skills. Some people on these forums give the impression that they have been denied their rightful jobs whereas many of them do not have even the basic communication skills with which to hold down a job! One thing many job applicants fail to realize is that, your interview starts with something as simple as your email address! "Sexybabyeyes@yahoo.com" is not an appropriate email address from which to send your c.v ,to a recruiter from. As for shortening your words to something like "tnx" for example, will possibly get you an instant "DELETE". People , take every available opportunity to improve yourselves , even if you have to pay. The Internet is a treasure trove of free courses, avail yourselves of them. It is simply laziness, sheer lack of imagination and initiative that makes one not seek self improvement! Personal Branding pays off in the long run, reinvent yourself if you must! No one owes you a job, you have to impress the recruiter into offering you one. If you can come to nairaland every day to comment and criticize, then you can search out a free self improvement course on the Internet and IMPROVE YOURSELF! Gosh!!! I'd like to add to this by saying, no skill is irrelevant! Above someone asked about generator repair! As long as someone has a need for the skill you have, you will never go hungry! I never forget DMT mobile toilets, if you don't know what I mean , google it! |
lockedOut: Which will you pick, the teacher with a polished English accent who does not know jack or the teacher with poor english construction and who knows his onions? I would rather choose the teacher with the poor english and tell him to improve and please don't hide under the Positive criticism banner, abi when "I hope he does not intend to teach in Nigeria" become positive criticism? It is highly doubtful that someone who speaks impeccable English would not know his onions! I'm not talking about phonetics, I'm talking about correct English with all tenses and Grammar in the right place . It doesn't come easy I assure you, but with years of reading and attention to detail! If nothing else he/ she will be able to teach English lit or grammar! |
Ajibam: She died cos of forncation nd even covetousness,,she was frm A rich backroudYeah right! Because Cynthia told you so abi? She is dead and all we are hearing is what the guys have told us! They are killers , so what makes you think they are not bloody liars too? What moral justification do you have to believe anything they tell us? Husbands kill wives , does that make the wives fornicators because the killer husband says so after she is dead? Please all these stories are mere attempts by gruesome heartless murderers to paint this poor girl black and besmirch her memory! Use your head and stop saying what you do not know! Playing holier than thou is a favorite pastime of Nigerians who are so morally degenerate that I'm amazed the churches are always so full! Dead men tell no tales! |

derekwan9: My wife played using her father's name due to she was still doing her NYSC with status MARRIED... And we did our courtship marriage during Easter period but no white wedding yet due to finance... Our wedding certificate bears my name.Hi I'm not sure if I quite understand you. But if your wife applied with her fathers name and you did a court marriage after that, she can include you. But she must send your marriage certificate and your own necessary documents to Kcc asap! |

@Bay1970 After the detection at 12 weeks, what next? If positive, abortion? How many times before you get a Child with A clean bill of health? What a traumatic experience for the woman carrying the baby! You are obviously a Man! |
mitwitdot: some teachers are paid as much as 300k with official car after spending some time in the sector. The salary only applies to international schools where teachers are well trained and take refresher courses to learn new trends in imparting knowledge.I doubt this particular person is of that ilk! I wouldn't pay him 10 naira to teach my puppy anything Biko! What atrocious English! |
celinorita: Good morning ALL. Pls I need your advice. My fiance won the DV 2014 visa lottery (ie he is a selectee) as a bachelor. But, we did our traditional wedding in December last year, not yet done the white wedding though! And not planning to do it soon, finance and all.No it won't change it as long as you have proof of your relationship before. You may also go and we'd in the court as this is even more legal proof. Take all your pictures of the wine carrying and any during your courtship and with all family members. He should inform the Kcc of his marriage ASAP it will go well as long as you stick to the truth. Good luck my dear |
Ajibam: Cynthia is already flexing in HELLGosh! How much more ridiculous can you be ![]() |
biolabee: You dont get tHe qMaybe I didn't quite get you, but I mean the crèche should be exposed for bad practices. She can report to the church authorities with her findings first of all.after all from what I can see on this thread, it is obvious a lot of people assume the crèche belongs to the church. It therefore gives the church a bad name. Either the church publicly disassociates themselves from the ownership of the crèche or they call the real owner to order. If she wants to remain anonymous, she can report to a regulatory body. This is a school, and as such should be regulated by the education board I think. |
junkerhill: He can join him over there after when the father has became a citizen. He may not have to wait till then as long as he was included in the original application and as long as the child was under 21 at the time of filing the entry he should be eligible. He will receive derivative status and should be granted the visa at the same time as the father. There is something called "aging out" which should apply under the Child Status Protection Act, as long as the child is still unmarried. |
This crime was unnecessary, may her soul rest in peace!!![/quote Some of the comments on this thread are amazing! Trying to put the blame on a girl who was killed. It's very sad the way some people think! I have read people wondering why she has a vibrator in her bag, why she had her international passport with her, that she is a runs girl, na wa! What has that got to do with the fact that she was killed It's her bag, she has the right to carry whatever she pleases inside it. How do you know the vibrator even belongs to her? This is what the guys said, trying to paint her black, ok even if she is a runs girl , does that give them the right to kill her? As for Blaming her for meeting them on face book, I think in the last 3 years, only , we have had more reports of husbands killing their wives , than Face book friends killing each other! That tells you that the fault is not where you meet, but that anyone can be a Killer! The simple fact of this matter is that those guys were criminals, they planned to lure this unsuspecting lady to their hide out and either rob and rape her or kill her. It wasn't even their first time, and I'm sure they didn't meet their other victims on face book. They are evil minded criminal killers and they should be hung by the neck slowly until they die! They had no excuse whatsoever for what they did to Cynthia and she is totally and completely blameless for what happened to her! R.I.P Cynthia, my heart bleeds for what you must have gone through at the hands of those terrible monsters! Justice for Cynthia and all murdered people! |
Hmmm @redcliff and @barryx , wouldn't some people like to be in Kanye's shoes right now? Extremely Rich, Famous and Baby Daddy to the most sought after bambino in the world, With a Baby Mama who is one of the most beautiful women in the world, Rich too! Sex tape or not, Kanye is one hell of a lucky guy, don't you think ![]() |
jimbod19: Please my fellow friends, is there anybody into foreverling products(fastback club) with any up to date success stories? Please advice me without sentiment.Hi I'm into Flp , but not Fast Track Club, I'm in Customer Club, which Fast Track is evolved from. What do u want to know? |
biolabee: What practical way can one do this without opening himself to lawsuits or ostracisationLawsuit and ostracization by whom? I'm talking about reckless endangerment of babies. Should whether or not you'll be ostracized or sued be an issue in saving lives? Or do we wait till something bad happens? What will your feelings be then? Or we will wait for a situation such as Jesssica Tata's to happen? http://www.bellanaija.com/2012/11/26/jessica-tata-nigerian-child-care-owner-in-usa-jailed-for-80-years-over-death-of-a-toddler-in-fire-breakout/ |
miz4oxley: Pls, I'll like someone on this forum to answer this questions pls.1. The file with EVERYTHING You have ever sent to them is right in front of them at your interview. Every information you sent has to tally or they want to know the reason it doesn't .all forms of identity are important. If they are not satisfied with any of your documents they will tell you to submit an alternate one, stating their exact requirements. They only send your file to Nigeria when all documentation is complete. My B.C was rejected because I had lost my original and they did not accept the one I originally sent , which was a notarized copy of the original. They sent me a notice of what they wanted and , accepted that. They didn't even mention it at the interview. . Yes they will look at your original picture, even though they will ask you to bring current ones to the interview. 2. As long as you sent in any supporting information to the Kcc clarifying the issues and mistakes, as I said above the interviewing officer will give you an opportunity to explain yourself and submitt or show her any other supporting evidence. It is now up to her to decide whether or not to believe you. The final decision rests with that interviewing officer, so make sure you satisfy her or him with your reasons. Your chances are as good as any ones, as long as your reasons are defendable. I've seen officers interrogate a person for almost an hour and everyone is sure that the person will be refused, only for the officer to grant the visa. I've also witnessed them drilling the C.E.O of diamond Banks wife for over an hour, so , no one is exempt from their questions, the difference is the quality and consistency of your answers . |
derekwan9: What I mean is that Her Surname is Obiorah which is on her result and my middle name is Obiora... We getting married and she bearing my middle name on d marriage certificate don't it mean. You are setting yourself up for serious trouble!! Do not attempt to try and manipulate the names. If you and your girlfriend are indeed getting married, go and conduct a court wedding then your girlfriend should go ahead with her application and tender your marriage certificate, actually send it to Kcc immediately and include you as her spouse. Make sure you have ALL necessary pictures to back up your claims of being in love o! If not you are both going to be kicked out for marriage fraud! On a serious note, please avoid anything that looks or smells like a sham marriage, it's a serious of fence and could get both of you a lifetime Ban. |
janut: House pls help me out out this-They will not refuse you based on that, but I advise you have a strong reason for the error , backed up with documentary evidence . Make sure your story is simple and reasonable. Don't complicate issues. Please house, I have been for many embassy interviews, and my advice to anyone going for an interview is, do not offer any information unless you are asked for it. Many of the things you all mention here as problems, the interviewing officer may not even notice. Having said that, be sure you have a good reason, with documents for any thing you are not sure about, but please do not be the one to bring it up, let the interviewer ask you if she wants, yours is to be prepared with a short simple cogent answer. Only answer what you are asked, don't talk to much and don't give unnecessary explanations. Answer only what you are asked and no more. If you don't understand the question, ask for an explanation, don't assume you do and answer wrongly. Also most important, stick to your story, do not tell lies! They can ask the same question in different ways , so make sure you give the same answer every time. Be relaxed and all will be well. Good luck everyone! |
ManTiger: Approximately 5yrs when you've become citizen... The year of becoming a Citizen varies, some between 4mths*winks*.That's not strictly correct. You don't have to be a citizen to file for your wife. You can file as a legal green card holder. |
miz4oxley: @Janut, I wish someone who's been in such shoe or know someone who has undergone such will just come here tell us the likely challenges one might face @ the Embassy or what one could do, say and maybe any advice. @Alickic's been a great buddie anyway. Cheers good luck Bro. I hope to read from other good advisors on this.Hi, I've been through the interview and I have my green card, so what do you want to know? |
oluface: I am a active male cook who ℓ̊§ really interested inDo you have credible references? |
mitwitdot: sounds interesting...kindly elaborate on the logisticsSounds interesting, but are Okadas still allowed in Lagos? Unless I don't know what Okadas are! |
nubian269: @ManTiger thanks 4 d reply, I got married b4 applying for the DV-2014 program, precisely in 2010 & my wife's & daughter's details were in cluded in the DV application. What's ur take ¸ this?Write and tell them what happened, it's an honest mistake. The letter will go in your file and when your being interviewed it will be there as proof you meant no mischief. They send the whole file back to Nigeria for the interview, with everything you sent in it, so if asked you can refer to your follow up letter. It's better than ignoring it. |
you want to know or you want to scout for innocent gullible graduates
