When you factor subsidized social infrastructure those other countries enjoy, then fuel is not expensive to them, they can live without much of it. I was in Nigeria sometimes and the electricity was relatively stable. I heard people complaining that the amount charged on their meters was finishing quickly. What did they do? They started bypassing the meters.

Most of you cant pay for the so-called "enjoyment" you covet in the western world.

You even talk of "social support", do you know how much UK government collects from each citizen monthly as National Insurance. Fuel is expensive all over the world.

Even if you do comparative analysis, petrol is cheaper in Nigeria as it is now, compared to other western countries

2.IN 2012 january, landing cost was N99 per liter, now it is N1000. Fuel price was N97 per liter now it is N580-720.

Assuming Nigeria kept fuel at N97 per liter as some PDP apologists wanted , by now subsidy would have risen from N2 per liter to N920 per liter ...and note that fuel consumption has risen over the years.

We would have a debt that would make our current debt look like the pocket money you give your 10 year old.

The 200USD you are sending to your parent, that now translates to 300k cannot get the same items that your parents were buying using the previous 300k (400 USD) to get.

I think for most Nigerians abroad that fall in that category there happiness is mostly from the fact that with just 10 dollars they can settle one or two billings. With 100 dollars they can take care of at least 5 people billing them. Unlike when 100 dollars will hardly go round. Yes the money may not go a long way to the biller but at least it is on record that the billee gave 5 billers 20k each.

How some people believe this bullshit will never cease to surprise me.

From the disaster of a match that was witnessed yesterday, I feel:

1. The Nigeria coach should be axed. His tactics to throughout the tournament has been appalling.

He was too defensive and could not react as at when due with intelligent substitutions. How can Super Eagle played 90mins defending? That was unacceptable.

Ivory coast has shown that you can win a cup with indigenous coaches. Time to inject local coaches into our system.

2. We need more local players in the Super Eagle who can die for the badge. The loyalty of most of these foreign players is questionable as they dual citizens. Most of them.are playing for Nigeria because they do not make the cut in their other national team.

3. Chukwueze, Aina, iwobi, Zaidu should just go and retire. They were the stand out failures among our mediocre horrible players. Man know man has destroyed the quality in the super eagles who is traditionally known to operate from the wings

4. I don't see Nigeria qualifying for the world cup with this same set of players and coach. Our next game is against South Africa in their home. I don't See Nigeria beating them. We should just look past the forthcoming world cup.

It could have been interesting if we had played well and lost. Nigerians would have cheered thrm.on in loss like they did for the falcons, who left everything on the pitch.

No Nigerian can complain about our loss yesterday as it was deserving and a total summary of our mediocre performance all through the tournament.

5.Amokachi should explain why he was overly excited immediately the Ivory Coast players scored. He was all over the place, saying rubbish. Like someone mentioned, we need to check his Naira bet slip
