Glo Internet service isn't stable all the time. Sometimes there may be no service for nearly a whole day. I subscribe to both Glo & etisalat data bundles, but in terms of speed & reliability etisalat is better by far. |
The latest video released by shekau is quite revealing. For the first time the erstwhile fiery shekau looked sober and seems ready for talks. The captured leader is a treasure trove for the intelligence agency and a big blow to boko haram. |
4nobody4every1:That is the irony of our situation in this country! Saraki will use just a fraction of his loot to pay his lawyers and maybe bribe the judges right through to the supreme court. He may not even touch his loot- the surrogates he has planted in the govt of kwara state will do the needful. |
The guy in white may in fact be a pastor, even having his own church. Hardly a week passes these days without something "spectacular" coming from a pastor.Stealing, lying, spewing bunkum, fleecing the gullible, prophesying rubbish, fvcking, killing. And now, ferrying illegal ammunition. All's pastor's "work" ! |
Since this muslim-name bearing pastor (he tags himself apostle) is so good at decreeing death, he should tell his followers when he himself will die so that they start preparation for his funeral in earnest. Btw, El-Rufai doesnt care a hoot about this type of worse- than- useless vituperation. Even when he was Fct minister he ordered demolition of unauthorized mosques and churches. All the so-called prophesies about his imminent death then by charlatans of suleiman's ilk came to absolute nothing. It's only in this part of the world that some people will set up powerful public address system in a residential area and continue blasting the damn thing throughout the night without regard to the discomfort they are causing to others (including infants, the sick, the elderly etc). Kudos to the man of the moment. This El-Rufai, i so much respect him for his sincerity and sense of purpose. Ride on, sir, How can they say they are worshipping the All-Hearing when all they do is generating ear-shattering noise? |
Ayo081:Eya a, you no sabi ingrish enuf. Soorry, but you fit go school na. |
But to not believe means you believe in not believing. So you still believe in something! |
AustineE1:What's your point? Tinubu was indicted by Gej govt- why didn't they appeal against the judgment? If the cct realizes its error in Tinubu's case, what's wrong with that?As for Nnamdi kanu, you know very well that he was granted bail but was after that charged with another offence for which he wasn't admitted to bail. He remains in jail for the later charge. And remember if convicted for the treason charge he faces the death penalty. In the case of Saraki, all his lawyers have been doing is beating about the bush instead of facing the charge squarely. |
Kachikwu's only "guilt" is that he said it as it is, no lies, no cover up. If he were a politician he would have lied to the nation over the fuel situation. A typical politician, being a liar/thief, would blame hoarders or promise to end the scarcity within days. |
I laugh when some mischievous folks deliberately misinterpret ccb Act by saying the accused must be invited to explain discrepancies in his/her asset declaration. If you fall for this, then you agree cct is virtually redundant, because no one will ever be charged before it. Going by the warped thinking of corruption-supporters, Saraki should have been invited by ccb to change the false information he supplied in his asset declaration form. Is that not like ccb saying we have discovered you committed the offence of false declaration, but not to worry you can come and make changes on the form or redeclare so that you can avoid being prosecuted? The ruling by cct is in order: the trial will continue and Saraki can put up whatever defences available, including the argument that ccb ought to have invited him first to change the falsehood he perpetrated in his declaration form. |
wiseoneking:Mr okoro, you are still reeling from the effect of your hero's ignominious defeat! Na wa o! Even after he himself has gone into hibernation in otueke. A needless case of being more catholic than the pope. |
theshadyexpress:Since you prople are so much obsessed with Ebele, if you so much care about him present the clueless Azikiwe in 2019 as pdp presidential candidate. |
Sometimes the police cannot be trusted. I heard of a case of kidnapping somewhere in the SE. The victim was released after a ransom was paid. He said where they were held was close to a police station! The man stated that the locals must be aware of the kidnappers' activities, because one day their captors suspected human movement behind the building and one shouted "Who goes there?", and to his surprise the answer was "Na indigene". The man was travelling and got kidnapped on a popular highway in SE. God save us. |
omenka:You even have time to be replying. The guy is obviously confused. |
Is he a Muslim or Christian? |
Buhari was right for not releasing the money before the election. These people are incorrigible liars and thieves - criminals, they would have probably pocketed the whole money and claim to have spent it on security during the election period! Bayelsa is one of the most backward states in every indices - their leaders are fleecing them. |
Pprovost:i believe Shekau is holed up somewhere in Sambisa. It is common knowledge that virtually no supplies get in there - that is why the only thing the remaining boko haram fighters do now is to mount raids for food. Those captured or killed look clearly emaciated. |
I have watched the video and i understand this guy very well, having watched almost all the video footage released by him. I think the guy is responding to a message from unnamed emissaries. He seems to have lost his macho image and appears to be willing to talk peace for the very first time ever. Whatever anybody may think, this is a golden opportunity to end the senseless bloodshed in the NE -now that the erstwhile uncompromising, bloodthirsty fiend is in a weak position. |
Adufetohposh:Hahaha, this prayer! |
crestedaguiyi:So not 1914 any more. Keep on deceiving yourself. |
Just imagine the kind of people they're appointing as judicial officers. This magistrate will later become a high court judge and may rise even to the highest court in the land. Imagine characters who lack discipline and self control as judges! Never trust Nigerian justice system completely. |
Goke7:Don't mind the hypocrites. You even see them moving their wedding to the Islamic land of Dubai. |
Goke7:Don't mind the hypocrite. You even see them moving their wedding to the Islamic land of Dubai. |
PeteVlogger:It's part of their constitutional duties, called oversight, by which they can investigate any matter which they can legislate on. |
Saraki is a first class looter, totally lacking in conscience. How can the ordinary people speak well of a man who impoverished their state. For 8 years, saraki was an absolute dictator as governor, looting the treasury with reckless abandon. People are angry - they stoned saraki the last time and no one should be surprised if they do worse next time. The emir and a few of the elite may get their share of the loot from saraki, but they cannot save him from the wrath of the people and God's judgement. |
betterABIAstate:And oil cannot be imported easily? **** |
EI-Rufai had received similar "threats" before especially when he ordered demolition of mosques and churches built without approval in Abuja when he was Fct minister. To this day nothing has happened to the man. Suleiman and other charlatans like him probably don't know that El-Rufai is resolute on any cause he believes in. So this self-appointed prophet or is it apostle is telling us that his little god kills people at his(suleiman's) behest! Let him "prophesy" when he himself will die to his gullible followers. |
This hero of our time has not allowed himself to be sucked in by the terrible corruption in the Nigeria police. I believe he enlisted in the police with a set objective and as long as he is doing his job honestly he will surely succeed. Nuhu Ribadu was another fellow like him before corruption terminated his brilliant career in the Nigeria police. Incidentally, they are both from the north east, though there are some other conscientious officers that are unsung. |
Hardly a week passes without news of a shameful act by a pastor. These crooks should be banned. Seriously, pastors are worse than boko haram. They kill, steal and fvck, even more than shekau-led bandits. Ban the pastors NOW! All of them, for every snake "walks" on its belly and we dont know which has bellyache. |
The reason corruption has thrived in the judiciary is that there's no search light on the institution until now. Even the recent decision of the supreme court ordering Saraki to face his trial at cct would most probably had been otherwise but for the unprecedented public attention/media interest in the case. Corrupt judges are everywhere from the lower courts right to the apex court. They have been operating with impunity for decades in collusion with corrupt lawyers. The senior advocates (SANs) are the most corrupt, infact most of them are crooks. The fight against corruption isn't Buhari's alone; all of us must be involved in whatever way we can, even on nairaland. |
The death of anyone is a lesson to the living. For those who hanker after material acquisition, it's even a bigger lesson. I'm just wondering how the remaining children of this couple will cope with life even with the wealth at their disposal. Let's always reflect on life- it's just like a "pastime and sport". |
Chukzyfcb:For years there was only one hangman in Nigeria. I understand the guy has retired and for now the country has no hangman. If a person is sentenced to death by a court with the pronouncement that he should be hanged, the person's life cannot be terminated by any other way. Since there's no hangman the person will just rot away in prison because there seems to be no-one interested in the job of official killer. |
