If somebody says he is doing it for publicity, my answer will be the motive is immaterial in this case. Supposing we all take up the education of one less privileged child, would our motive really matter? This guy has thrown a challenge, let's strive to do the same in our little way. There are some kids around the only reason they are not in school is that they dont have the uniform and exercise looks. God bless u young man. |

Kudos to Lagos State - unlike most other states Lagos enforces its laws. I have noticed for sometime now that shoprite stores stock products that are close to their expiry dates. I think they deliberately import products like yoghurt fruits, cereals & the like that have almost expired and place them on the shelves and keep them there even when they have expired. Thank you Lagos State for dealing with these south African fraudsters. |

HungerBAD: Cool.
But, my take on this is that nobody has the right to dictate on what other people should wear. Did she come there naked?was she wearing an attire that had her breast on display?probably no.
The way Nigerian Politician's practice politics, is akin to the way our Preachers practice Christianity/Islam. Politics and Christianity/Islam, are both foreign to us to, until we were taught. Nigerians have now taken it to another level.
Even the White people that taught us Politics, will not walk a person out of a chamber, on the grounds of their dressing. Even Ghandi, at a time addressed the British Parliament with his trade mark wrapper, that really does not cover any part of his body.
I think the Edo State House of Assembly, over stepped their boundaries, and they should be checked.
We are in a democratic setting, and freedom of how you dress is enshrined in it. The House has its dress code enshrined in the House rules which everyone appearing before House, members and non-members, must comply with. The House did the right thing by politely asking her to do the needful. |

Sharing is a good idea. I have seen a row of small shops each with a small generator in front belching heavy smoke. About 10 generators were involved and I wonder the amount of carbon monoxide the people there were breathing in. All the shop owners were lbo and it would have been easier & better for them to cooperate and have one or two generators and share. |

Stammering is not a curse or a serious disability. You friend should take it as a challenge which can be overcome with patience and practice. He should emulate Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa on how the great stateman overcame his stammer. He should speak gently in a low tone. He should avoid speaking the way most Nigerians do - shouting out their words. With constant practice he should be able to speak normally. Tafawa Balewa, Nigeria's first and only prime minister, was a stammerer but overcame it and was even later given the accolade of the "golden voice of Africa" at the United Nations on account of his excellent voice and diction. To this day no Nigerian leader comes near him in terms of excellent English. Your friend should take his cue from the gentleman par excellent, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the great orator and perhaps the Nigerian leader who lived the most modest life. This humble, innocent, true servant of the nation was assassinated by tribal bigots led by one deranged man called chukuma Nzeogu. May the soul of this man of peace rest in peace. |

You can also contact them on facebook and get almost instantaneous response. Note:I am not doing PR for Uba. l once complained to them about charges and the explanation I got was that they charge 0.3% on all your debit withdrawals monthly as cot(Central bank approved for all banks) e.g. if your total debit withdrawals in a month is N10000, ur cot will be N30 plus Vat ( 5% of N30); so, for N1m debit withdrawals in a month cot will be N3000 +5% vat. All cbn approved and charged by every bank. |

The best verdict: Neither beer nor wine is good for your health. Most favourable appraisals you read about wine and other alcoholic drinks are sponsored by brewers and distillers to lure people into drinking and keep those already drinking hooked on it. No matter what quantity you usually drink, alcohol will ruin you eventually. |

The place of your primary consistency should be an utmost importance to any reasonable politician who sees himself/herself representing the interest of the people simply because he primarily bears the people's mandate. Jonathan is not alone in this kind of ugly misrepresentation of the people by greedy and selfish politicians. Take a tour to Otukpo, David Mark home town, and you will understand that these guys are simply after their personal enrichment and not representing the interest of the people. Absolutely true. lf David Mark will release just a small percentage of his massive fortune amassed in public office as military administrator of Niger state, minister of communications, senator/Senate president for the development of oturpko and his nearby village, I believe that would help alleviate the dehumanizing poverty there. But is the 62-year old whose health is not in the best of shape thinking in that direction? |
