Family › Re: Could This Be Low Grade Cooking Gas? by Mumben(f): 10:02pm On Oct 09, 2020
fineboynl:
I refilled my gas from another gas station as people use to queue in this station maybe because it's closer. but I prefer the other side because there is more standard and with latest equipment, but I decided to fill it on this station as don't want to stress the dropper because he doesn't know there.. unlike where I use to go refilled it before as this happened to be my first time refilling it from this place. the gas has low pressure fire. the first time I light it I notice it at once.

unlike from where I use to fill it. you will see the fire pressure with forced even when you low it, it will refuse to low. but I don't understand while this one pressure is fucking low.

is this another type of cooking gas?
There are two components of Lpg, propane and butane. Ideally propane has more pressure and burns faster than butane.butane on the other hand has less pressure and should be higher in volume than the propane. I prefer the one with less pressure not d one that will do voom when about to light up. Propane is cheaper so some gas marketers mix it to b higher than butane. Hope I av explained enough?

I see no reason for her fears, she is a nurse and should know better. Look for a very competent doctor with clean records to handle the surgery and prayerfully commit the procedure into God's hands. Lots of baby dust to you two.

You're a typical tribalistic and chauvinistic element, "Ibo" this, Ibo that - you can't be a bona fide Igbo man, so don't come back to tell me you're one, or stop projecting your useless family on others. Personally, my eldest brother is one of the most selfless human beings I've ever known, and I'm certain majority of other bona fide Igbo sons and daughters will honestly say the same about their eldest siblings, covertly or overtly. So, it amounts to foolishness for a bumpkin like you to mete out campaign of calumny against the Igbos in this regard.

Do yourself good and direct your mention to the fools who brought you into this world, or the ones who may urge you on here, because I won't dignify you with a reply. This thread isn't about Igbos.

@OP

I hope you haven't mistaken your unconquerable well-to-do brother for a stingy person; I have always seen this happen. Also, I hope you have not mistaken his informally non-transferable knowledge means of success as unwillingness to show others the way to amass riches. More so, make sure you haven't overestimated his wealth. It's always easy to cast aspersions on others, especially when coming from the receiving end. In fact, I won't be surprised if it's established that you're the self-absorbing one, because self-absorbing people and insatiableness and hypocrisy are inseparable. Stay resourceful.

All the same, I don't hold brief your eldest or well-to-do brother.
My dear, u won't understand. He is very proud and stingy. My mum almost placed a curse on him some time ago but I stood in d gap and pleaded on his behalf. Mind you, I am a very content person.

I don't know what kind of mentality this is, some families like mine compete to pamper and spoil our parents and anyone slacking gets tongue lashed by the eldest. See, let whoever is capable contribute his own quota and ignore the agbaya big brother. Don't wait for him to show you the way; make your own way.
thank you, I appreciate.

Op. What u saying happens in many Ibo families especially with 1st born who happens to be richer. I am not saying its peculiar to first born but I have seen it in many of them.
It's a character flaw of greed and selfishness expressing itself in the person's insecurities. It happens everywhere and it's a painful thing because no one knows tomorrow and nobody should play god over another.
I also see it as a sign of weakness and immaturity for a grown up man to be so openly insecure to the point of trying to dictate to other men or run their lives and affairs.
My goodness, you sure understand the scenario perfectly, yes he is the diopkara and wants to play 'god'. My thoughts is if u don't want to be of help to others, you shouldn't feel bad if your far younger and generous junior does it with joy. I want to advise d junior to henceforth do things without his knowledge so as to avoid problems. I hate bitterness amongst siblings.

I need to urgently disburse some cash in Bank, about 5 million to some people, but I have not been able to do this due to lack of NIN number, the NIMC center is currently not functioning, so their is no way I can't get it. The bank won't accept other means of identification like voters card or driver license, only NIN.

Please, what can I do, I need to transfer the money before this month end.

Pls, help me push to front-page for wider coverage, pls.

Business › Re: After NYSC What With #500,000 In My Account? by Mumben(f): 6:06pm On Jul 26, 2020
Cof1ex:
Am really going to be straight here. I was able to save #200,000 through a side hustle (riding okada) early last year (jan-may) while awaiting service and up to another 100k i used for service.

I abandoned the money in a fixed deposit account and moved on for nysc... During my nysc, i found my way to the secretariat which gave me chance to do small hustle. I got a factory work which was paying me 25-35k (with loads of stress and i was settling them at the secretariate with 7k). With that, i was able to save all my allowee(#310,250) except the first that was paid in camp cash.

I traveled home during the early corona virus lock down as corpers were advised to go home or any safe place and my factory work was back sliding as materials were costly in the market. >>>

Currently am done with nysc and left my work before the lock down, critically thinking of what next to do with my life. Contemplating on staying back at ogun (sango otta) where i served or going back to abia (my state) and start up fishery or piggery, or poultry, or computer center, or dry cleaning. Just lost in thought. I know how hard i worked to gather this money, i starved myself and deprived myself enjoyment, and the shame of a graduate riding okada (as my dad was financially ok before he died 2k17). I just don't want to carry two legs put for river talk say na testing..

Please help!!!! Lala abeg push to fp
Op, Gas business is okay especially if ur location is mainly populated by middle class and if d gas plant available is far. U can get fairly used 50kg cylinders like 3 for a start, register as a dealer in a gas plant and then u sell and make ur profit

Nepa will always be Nepa. Pursue the prepaid metre with everything u've got. It's far better than estimated billing. For now, go to their office and complain to their head.

Introverts are the most misunderstood people. Growing up for me was kinda different cos I was not that kind of kid that likes mingling a lot. My teenage years were no better as I had very few friends. I am married with kids and nothing has changed and funny enough, amongst my kids, only one is an introvert. The others took after my husband. Within my neighbourhood, people wonder how I am so calm even though I was born and bred in Lagos, I don't engage in unnecessary gossip, I always mind my business and you know people will always misinterpret ur character. What people fail to understand is that we like our personal space, I so much Miss my 'me' time cos of the unending banter of d kids. Do you know from my observation, introverts are very very intelligent set of people, but they usually don't blow their trumpets. Introverts are very patient, d only people that can remain calm in d face of provocation. I am a CONFIRMED introvert and I don't feel sorry. Only an I introvert will b patient enough to read my epistle

My son is eight and has this same interest too. We picked over 30 snails and put up a space for them filled with sand or soil which we wet every morning. Snails eat lots of leaves. We give pawpaw leaves, fruits, grinded egg shells, but nothing salty. And constantly ensure the soil is wet for them to thrive.
Thanks dear for the insight. my son is also eight yrs old. u need to see how excited he is about training snails.

Gd day nlders, my little son picked interest in snails during this circumstantial holiday but d problem is I don't know how to go about it for him oh. from feeding to habitat. To buy a car is not as expensive as building a house. Building a house is more important than buying a car. Cars are liability, houses are assets
God bless you, exactly my thoughts but I wanted to know if someone shares same thoughts as me. A family can always find ways around not having a car, though stressful, but doable. on d contrary, imagine throwing a family out of rented apartment with no funds to rent another. God bless every husband out there to provide shelter for their beloved families Amen

it actually depends on some factors if owing the car is a necessity. If the man has small funds he can just buy a land for the meantime and put boundries with blocks. That's the first step to owing a house. And when more funds start coming u can start building the house small small. U can always get a cheap car to run around las las.
thanks for your insight
