dalass: Wow...
Most church doors are locked now. Unlike in the past when anyone could enter any church to pray Everyone and every organisation should be security conscious. I would expect a church to have security men who monitor movements in and around the church. How can you just allow strangers in your premises and not adequately monitor them. To hire drivers and house helps now involve stringent measures like asking for referees and guarantors. Anybody that is stranded should go to the Police station. An individual, church or mosque that allow strangers to dwell in their premises is taking a high risk! |

tonak: Another demolition will soon happen at Ajao estate some day soon, where omo onilés have breached the perimeter fencing of the international airport and have sold all the lands there to igbos. Only the Igbos have something to loose. Omo onilé has collected his money and gone. Always do due diligence before buying land. That's very true. Ajao Estate is full of buildings on FAAN Lands. It's just a question of time before demolitions start to happen! |

May God have mercy .
But I want to understand something. Assuming that these people bought 'gazzetted' land as claimed - or whatever term the government is using to absolve itself of culpability, is it not in the place of the buildings regulation and town planning agencies to inform and deter them from erecting structures in the said lands?
Why wait till billions have been wasted on the lands before they come in and remind the unfortunate heads that they are occupying an illegal land? I totally agree with your statements. On the other hand, people will now know that they have to go the extra mile to verify any Land they want to build on! |

Where the real money is now is 'hand work'. The way these not so literate Electricians, Plumbers, Auto mechanics and Masons make money every day will make you go green with Envy. Family › Re: Should Evil Be Justified Regardless Of The Intention by murmee: 9:02pm On Nov 19, 2021 |
Favfables1: I agree with him... Some supposed "evil" can be deemed "acceptable" depending on the circumstance...
Take for instance, we're told that killing a person in cold blood is bad, buh let's assume you were kidnapped and by some stroke of luck, your kidnappers forgot to lock the door, you courageously took the risk and peeped through the door, thinking of a way to escape... The sight that greets you from where you're peeping through is one of your kidnappers fast asleep on the chair, with his/her gun on the floor... Once again you summoned the courage and reach for his/her gun, hoping to use it as leverage to find your way out of their den, and just as youre about to leave after picking the gun, he/she wakes up and blocks the door...
You have two options, shoot him)her and escape or waste your time negotiating with him/her until his/her reenforcement arrives...
What would you do?? Whatever you do at that point is self defense. Kidnapping you in the first instance is evil. Stopping you from escaping is also evil. So it's ok if you have to kill him to escape. |

zoedew: No! Dangerous driving and sparse patrol by ill equipped FRSC and corrupt police who extort users of the road. Thank you. The FRSC prefers to extort moneys from motorists in the cities by stopping cars to ask for particulars. The Lagos-ibadan expressway is one road that needs the attention of FRSC the most. That particular spot and many more on that route should have the men of FRSC positioned to direct traffic by slowing drivers down where necessary. If there are no signs to warn drivers then the Corps should be there. December is almost here and one can imagine the kind of huge traffic expected on that expressway! |
