MacCantStopMe: You are missing the point. The argument is showing the problem with the word "omnipotence". You are missing the point, no one is having an argument with you. It's you arguing all by yourself. Now the problem is there isnt anything wrong with that perfect word " Omnipotence", it is you having 99 problems with the word, that's all and we all understand you, your problem and what the problem is you have with the problem, lol MacCantStopMe: It is a very illogical characteristic. It is one thing to do the impossible but it is another to do the illogical. Saying that your God is omnipotent is tantamount to say that he is nonsensical and illogical to the normal human being. Don't you know that God's a Paradox ni? Listen does sound sensical and logical for a bush on flames, but its not burning, huh? Someone like you, will shrug it off and walk away, lo, but someone else, turned around, thinking what is going on there, this looks and sounds nonsensical and illogical, I better go and investigate, and the rest is history, lol. MacCantStopMe: Saying that there is nothing your God is unable to do is problematic. Can he be asleep and awake at the same time? If you say yes, then by all means, your God is nonsensical See, you're ignorant, no offence intended there. I said it with the utmost and uttermost respect, but God had already slept and was awake at the sme time na. What are you talking about? |

aadoiza: Your exquisitely wrought delineation of such dreams is certainly appreciated, but not satisfactory. if such dreams are predicated only on hankering and past experiences your explanation would have been greeted with satisfaction. But I have had such dreams even without plan or intention of going anywhere in subsequent days or weeks.
You know what's strangest about it all? The places I see in these foretelling dreams always turn out more accurate in reality than those places already known to me as seeing in dreams. " As I was praying, Gabriel, (i.e. angel) whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice" - Daniel 9:21" I know a certain Christian man who fourteen years ago was snatched up to the highest heaven I do not know whether this actually happened or whether he had a vision--only God knows." - 2 Corinthians 12:2" At this point I had another vision and saw an open door in heaven. And the voice that sounded like a trumpet, which I had heard speaking to me before, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this." - Revelation 4:1I wasnt with that talking about your dream(s) per se, but it was just posted as a fyi with you cc'ed so to see it, lol. I merely put my hand in the pocket, and pulled it out without showing what sort of bird, its color I then had in my hand, lol. What you have, simply is a profound gift. Now you havent actually said, how exactly you experience these phenomena. Is it a when I am, eyes closed and I am fast asleep, sleeping dreams. Are they, my eyes are open, I am awake and not sleeping, but have vivid visions playing out in plain sight ahead/in front of me. Or lastly, cant leave this out, daydreaming What you seem to be exhibiting is a gift, just as I've earlier remarked. It's something in the line of two gifts, called word of knowledge and the word of wisdom. I dont have to tell you why you have this gift, the purpose why you are gifted with it and who primarily is to benefit of this gift. |

MuttleyLaff: Dreaming like this, is what's called experiencing an anxiety dream otherwise known as a natural dream
The content of such anxiety dreams usually is a direct reflection about something seen, watched, heard, listened to or wanted and comes about as result of a want of, a struggle for, a fear of, a hope of, a hope for, a need of or a desire you have of, something.
Now because of the ambiguity over the ''something'', it is the inner man otherwise known as your spirit man, that alerts your soul otherwise known as the carnal man via the anxiety dream that what was dreamt about is concerning and needs getting dealt with (e.g. hunger or hungry, so there is a need of food to use for dealing the hunger with, hence the natural or anxiety dreaming of food) cc: Finstar, aadoiza, RealMrNigerD |

For starters, War broke out in perfect heaven. Lucifer tried to impeach God right? Which in turn led to angels becoming demons right? I don't think perect God budgeted for that, do you?
Adam and Eve only committed 1 sin right that supposedly got us in sinful world right? How come the riggeousness of Christ could not reverse that?
God they say is the same yesterday today and forever right? Did you notice the changes in God's personalities between Old testament, New testament and apparently at Judgement Day?
Honestly, I wish i didn't have to keep doing this but it's just too glaring not to see the errors and contradictions. But i understand that religion is blindening. The same way you can't possibly convince a terrorist that the 99 virgins is all sham and scam. God failed in so many stories in the bible but it's easier to put the blame on the fallen man. Even Jesus came because of Jews but guess what he failed there too cos they didn't believe him. Which was why he turned to gentiles. Since you're the bible scholar, I'll leave you to do your study. RealMrNigerD: Lol. You should be the one doing more critical thinking, my friend. Don't gulp in every science read on the net without your own critical analysis. For one, MIT's Matt Wilson's hypothesis was a gross flouting of Occam's razor. I cannot establish with his results that dogs or rats dream. It could only end in an assumption. His results were kinda like: "A" happened when humans sleep, "A" happened when dogs sleep. Humans dream when they sleep therefore dogs dream. That's just weak with one too many leaps, my friend, because A may never have been responsible for the humans dreaming. Sadly, for now, only the dogs themselves can tell us if they dream.
Second, even if dogs dream, it wouldn't take a thing away from my argument. Because we cannot even tell whether or not a dog has a soul. What do we really know?
So then, let's stick to what we know for sure. 1) We dream. We even dream of things we never thought of as well as things we have and all kinds of funny things. Some get deja vus. Some even dream of future events. Point is do we see our dream content in the physical? Can we for this inability, deny the reality of the experience which we can even tell others. 2) If the dream experience is real enough to be recounted. Then how can it be nothing? You cannot be remembering 'nothing' else you're mad. Or do you remember '' '', huh? I'm sure you don't, because that's nothing. Neither can you be able to tell someone the 'nothing' you experienced. 3) If you think a dream is the firing up of your neurons. What caused the sudden 'firing up' when you were only sleeping and doing nothing? 4.) If a dream, like a nightmare is actually nothing, why do little kids get up scared and why would their heart beat faster when this happens. Is it nothing that caused something real in the body to happen?
Maybe I should move this on to consciousness, thoughts and imaginations too from here but first answer these. No diggity, animals have souls. This is biblical truth, lol. |

Do you know that dogs can dream? Does that mean they have a soul or an afterlife based on your belief?
Dreams are mere abstract images, partly based on your daily experiences, life, visions, desire, fear, etc.
You can sleep and dream of about being a president. Probably because you've been nursing such a desire.
You can play cheese all day, and still see yourself doing such in a dream state.
You and your lots seem to link the dream state to a kinda spiritual dimension or alternate existence. These are just neurons firing up and down in your brain. RealMrNigerD: Hear yourself now my friend so you can see the disconnect in your logic You say a dream is the brain creating abstract images of nothingness. So, a brain, determinable matter, in an involuntary(while sleeping) flow of blood(scientificically determinable) produces a dream(not scientifically determinable) which we have no active part in making up. 1)If the above is true and you call this dream 'nothing', yet you are able to experience this nothing, then you are either a composition of nothing and something(0×1=0), which doesn't exist, a being with the ability partake in an a nothing realm and matter realm. Or, there is just another dimension outside of this physical dimension that you are unable to determine.
2.)If the dream is a nightmare, it creates an involuntary fear in the perceiver(a child especially). This fear can lead to a scientificically determinable increase in heart pulsations in the body. All this achieved involuntarily and due only to the dream of 'nothingness'. Hence energy flow (pulse), was created by 'nothing'. First law of conservation broken. Isn't that so unscientific?

MacCantStopMe: ARGUMENT 2 (DAY-2 18/APRIL/20) THE PARADOX OF OMNIPOTENCE
We agree that a "married bachelor" can not exist because it is contradictory and self-refuting. An omnipotent God is self-refuting and contradictory.
-omnipotence is the ability to do all things. To have all abilities -However, some abilities are contradictory to each other, or some actions negate each other -To sleep means you are not awake, for instance. You cant be asleep and awake at the same time.
God has the ability to live for ever. Eternal life. However, that means that he can not die and he doesn't have the ability to kill himself Yes He can to, all four |
