If there is no light from the sun, it means the sun is either completely dead or totally absent.

Revelation 21:23 says: the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof and Revelation 22:5 says: they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Is it obvious from both verses that, just like a lit candle in a fluorescent lit up room, the city had no need for the sun to shine for the glory of God did light up. Just as there is no need of the light of the candle in the room scenario earlier given, so there's no need for the light of the sun, for God gives Light.

How and why you insist, there is no light from the sun and that anything at all, means the sun is either completely dead or totally absent is baffling. I might concede with totally absent or withdrawn but not say completely dead.

But shortly after his ascension to heaven, God's holy spirit came and replaced him as their new teacher and director, can you imagine that this people went ahead to initiate what their Master said is impossible?
They tried to eradicate poverty in their midst by selling things of different value only to come back and share everything they got EQUALLY. Well this caused the death of a family and there they realized their blunder so they stopped!

Note that God's holy spirit did not stop them from making the blunder, they unitedly supported the arrangement and when its time to punish the traitors it's this same holy spirit that killed them.
