I can give you the YouTube link showing him rising from the floor and grappling with Sowore's friends who were telling him to back off and leave Sowore alone. There are other pictures in the past showing him always standing guardedly close to Sowore, following him about and watching Sowore's every movement as if like a hawk

Everfrank, I have been watching closely and have noticed this young man from DSS, way back from the beginning of this whole case and when Sowore was returned back to detention after the first bail refusal, there is this man, in blue suit then, he was the guy blocking Sowore and trying to prevent Sowore from making a press conference, he is the same guy again, now in black suit, who was trying to rearrest Sowore on that day in court

He was in detention for 125 days. After a judge had threatened the DSS with contempt of court, Sowore was released last week Thursday only to be rearrested the following morning. There was outrage from many Nigerians because the DSS sought to arrest him right inside the courtroom.

The social media went agog. Many people who cared little about the activist’s words in the past felt that the action of the DSS was a desecration of Nigeria’s democracy. A security outfit under the Presidency had invaded another arm of government, the judiciary. In one of the debates that I got into while discussing this matter on social media, a lady described the revolution that Sowore was leading as a "stupid" revolution. I knew immediately that whenever I would express my opinion on Sowore’s arrest, I would have to title the article "Sowore’s Stupid Revolution"

The ones I've come across that have a problem with Sowore and his use of the word revolution are some egbons and brahs in their sixties. There is this eighty year plus old Grandma, I usually discuss Naija politics, the Fulanis, Sowore and all with but I havent being opportuned lately to pay her a visit and listen to what she has to say about Sowore, the "Revolution Now" and his abduction by DSS. One of the brahs, actually told me he wasnt enthusiatic about Sowore's "Revolution Now" because Naija is not ripe and not a place for those kind of things, but he said he is now slowly being sympathetic to Sowore like say 70% because of the way and manner DSS abuse their power and seem to be rough-handling Sowore. The other brah just has a complete disdain for Sowore, saying an armless man was trying to topple a democratically elected government etcetera

The natural inclination is for most people to forget things and that is why history is an extremely vital aspect of our lives today. We have a lot to learn from history. Nigeria is not a divinely instituted state. The whole geographical contraption that is called Nigeria was put together by the British who also instituted the system of government we run today. The Nigerian people have chosen to remain within this geographical context only because we believe that our staying together is better than our shattering up in pieces. If we would, however, stay together, certain minimums must be in place. One of such is good governance.

There is nothing wrong with the country Nigeria. Nigeria is an act of providence. God allowed Nigeria to be and be as it is, for a reason. We have let ourselves as a country down. Is it all just for three million to be killed in vain and in a senseless war, hmm? The problem is wickedness, greed, and cluelessness. Have anyone being to the Deltan region, a place supoosedly where the bulk of the wealth of the country comes from and none of the basic infrastructure in place is there. No airport, no sea port, no railways, no motorable ways, no drinking water, no hospital, no school, no light. Smh. What a shame, what a pity and somebody calls the yearnings for a "Revolution Now" stupid. Jesus wept.

Omoyele Sowore and his cohorts, like other Nigerians, have rights within the constitution of the country. They have chosen to exercise those rights to make their views known to all. Sowore left his base in the United States of America and ran a political campaign to be President in 2018. He started sensitizing the Nigerian people of his willingness to run for President a whole six months before political campaigns began. He put his all into the effort. When the nation went to the polls and the votes cast for him and his party were counted, they amounted to a meagre 30,000 plus. Sowore felt that he had been robbed. He felt that the same system that robbed him had also been robbing other Nigerians of their rights to the basic necessities of life. Sowore’s protest, or revolution like he calls it, is NOT stupid. Sowore has only put into action what many of us have in mind.

I just knew before starting to read this post that you can be counted on to discuss this subject matter in a cool level headed and reasonable way

We should remind ourselves that democracy was not always the system of government in this country. We once had military rule. In fact, at some point in our national life, the military had ruled this country for no less than 75% of our years as an independent state. It was the Nigerian people who fought, tooth and nail, to return the military to the barracks. The likes of Omoyele Sowore led the campaign then. If democracy, as we have it, is not delivering on its promises, it is the same Nigerians that must call for a change. The means to change will come in many names. Sowore has only chosen to call his campaign a revolution. And seeing the manner with which the state is clamping down on a legitimate protest, I wonder whether all of us shouldn’t be joining in this protest.

Chief Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, the "Lioness of Lisabi" and mother of "Abami Eda", Fela Anikulapo Kuti another famous activist, was a political campaigner and women's rights activist. One of many of her campaigns, struggles and protests was against arbitrary taxation of women which led to the abdication of the throne by the Alake of Egbaland high king Oba Ademola II in 1949. That is result, lol. Sowore is not doing anything different to what Mama did, without taking up arms, in 1949, so what is the problem of the Presidency, what is the Presidency jittery off.

The word "revolution" with no one batting an eyelid or being alarmed, kept popping up in the speeches read out by both PM Boris Johnson and the Chancellor, Sajid Javid, at the recently concluded 2019 Conservative Party Conference

It has been almost thirty years since my parents visited that immigration office in the United States of America. The four boys my mother sought to find refuge for in America are still in Nigeria battling to survive. Mother died in 2006. Daddy turned seventy July this year. My sisters are all grown up and married, living with their families in the US. My brothers and I are all in our forties now and we have still not gone to America. We have been waging a war of survival here in Nigeria and yet our story is just one of millions in Nigeria; in fact, we would consider ourselves privileged. We are not yet where we hope to be though. This is what Omoyele Sowore and all young men in this country must do today. It is young men, with strength, that fight wars for the betterment of their nation. Again, the context of the fight would take many names. Sowore has chosen to call his "Revolution Now" and this revolution is not stupid

Professor Ayodele Awojobi, the first African to be awarded the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc) in Mechanical Engineering at the then Imperial College of Science and Technology, London (now Imperial College London) and well known activist, when asked about any intention ever of entering partisan politics, revealed when he spoke on national television, saying: "At the age of 65, I will have built the infrastructure. There would be very few illiterates in Nigeria when I mount the soapbox. Then, I will go into proper politics"

Tbh, my personal and humble opinion is that Sowore, who is just 48 years old, was made to do something he didnt really want to do or never was interested in doing, and that's like, go into politics. Sowore didnt have to do any of this "Revolution Now" stuff. The man is comfortable, has a good life, has a beautiful and cerebral wife, has two wonderful 9 and 12 years old kids and his widowed mum. This was not a self centred action, it is a public-spirited action concerned more with the needs and wishes of others, calling attention to low standards, mediocrity, political nonentities, analogues operating in a digital age and world, etcetera in high places. It is only an uninterested, unconcerned, subservient, obsequious, acquiescent and complaisant person who will say "Revolution Now" is stupid

WHAT IS SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Although I have mentioned this in several of my posts, I still feel I should dedicate a special article to properly explain. This is because there are so much misunderstanding bound up around this. First of all we are not talking about just any spiritual growth but the Christian spiritual growth. So how can you say a Christian is growing spiritually, is it by the gifts or powers he displays, or just the maturity of character?

"... comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1Cor 2:13-14).

Spiritual things are spiritually discern. You cannot make conclusions on spiritual things just by observing with your carnal faculties. If you are looking to see gifts, spiritual babies also have gifts of the Spirit, and that does not mean they are mature. If you are looking for character, there are atheists or people of other religion that have good morals or character, and these things are not of any spiritual origin, so they cannot be called spiritual growth. We are looking for something that is Christian and spiritual. And everything Christian springs out from Christ.

So the Christian spiritual growth must be a spiritual thing that springs out from Christ—it must be utterly and wholly Christ. Well, one thing I have learnt about the spiritual in Christ is that it comes behind its shadow. Yes, first comes the shadow, then the reality. God made it that way so we can understand the spiritual reality from its shadow.

"For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality." (Col 2:17).
"But it is not the spiritual that appears first but the natural, and then the spiritual." (1Cor 15:46).

First comes the shadows to tell us about the coming reality—a reality that is utterly Christ, constituting of nothing but Christ. The shadow is the natural, and the reality is the spiritual. So in the natural world what is growth? What determines growth? Is a child considered mature by the measure of gift he has? Would you call a baby 'a man' because he has a car or some expensive property? No, growth is not determined by gifts. There is no amount of gift you give a baby that would turn him into a fully grown man.

What about knowledge? Do you believe you can teach a child so much knowledge that he would just increase in size and height, turning into a full fleshed grown man? Yet this is the mentality many Christians carry today. They believe if they can just study enough scripture and get enough rhema then they are now mature. That is what we do, we take a man through Bible school and then declare him mature enough to be a pasture and lead the immature. This is why we often end up having the immature leading the immature.

When babies are leading babies, all you would have is child play, and then they say this child play is practicing Christianity. Yes, many of what we call Christianity today is child play—babies leading babies, and becoming so caught up in their child play that they believe that is adult life. Oh, when shall we see fully matured Christianity—mature in all the fullness of God, mature in God's full thoughts, His perfect will, His original plan?

Growth is determined by life. Yes, the life you get from eating. The food you eat contains life—life that develops in the presence of the sun through photosynthesis. This life results to a full grown plant with fruits filled with life. Then you eat this fruits or plant and draw from the life that is in it, that life is added to your life causing you to grow in life. Yes, growing in life, that is what growth is. Even if it is animal you eat, this animal had drawn life from the plant which drew life from the land in the presence of the sun, and now there is enough life in this animal to sustain you, adding to the life in you and causing you to grow.

"For in him we live and move and exist." (Acts 17:28).
"In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shine" (John 1:4-5).

We live, move and exit in Christ, he is our land, and at the same time he is the light that shines, a light that is filled with life. So on this land (Christ) and in the presence of this sun (Christ), life grows, and this growth of life is what is called spiritual growth. Yes, it is the growth of a spiritual life in us as Christians. Not the growth of spiritual knowledge, or spiritual gifts. Just as the growth of natural gifts and natural knowledge is not equated to bodily growth.

The baby cannot comprehend the knowledge you are given him, or drive the car in his possession, he has not developed the faculties to do that. This is why feeding Christians with just knowledge alone would not help them. Sure they would rejoice and be excited about the knowledge, but it is not helping them. They will be excited about having a car but that car would cause them an accident if their legs cannot reach the breaks properly, and their heads is not above the stirring. Spiritual gifts have destroyed a lot of people, causing them to be filled with pride and become arrogant, hereby constructing their self-destruction.

We must learn the issue of life. We must learn how to draw life from this land, how to grow this life in the presence of the sun. It is not enough to have light, so many are pursuing light without learning how to use this light to develop life in their members. We must learn to use this light we are getting to produce life in us. There is a way you can come under light and begin to cause life to grow in you, many Christians do not know how to consciously do this. They can only do it by mistake, maybe through trial-and-error, or through a myriad of activities hoping that one of them will result in the production of life in them.

We really do not know what we are doing, we do not understand this process. Look at the natural world for example, look at how much we've achieved as a result of scientists paying enough attention to nature to understand its process and learn to control this process for the benefit of humankind. Yes, when we understand how life is produced in the presence of the light then we can consciously facilitate this process. Hereby, causing speedy growth, so that we can attain the fullness of God and walk in His glory before our time on earth is over, for the Lord wants His glory manifested in this age through His body. In fact, we need to understand everything about life, we must dive into a deep study of the life if we truly want to make progress just as we see in the natural world today.

Spiritual growth is like growing into filling out into the Holy Spirit cloth, so that it is not loosely fitted but is shapely fitted on the wearer, just as like in the middle picture above.

Why Did The God Tell Abraham To Sacrifice His Child?

2/ Child sacrificing to these idols was a common and prevailing practice then and Abram was accustomed to it
3/ Deuteronomy 12:30-31 was formalized 400 years plus after the historic Abraham's near-sacrifice of his son Isaac
4/ It is a well known historical and documentated fact that Abram tithed in line with the prevailing Mesopotamia custom to tithe
Artifacts shows and testifies to heathens practice of tithing. Like few other things, tithing was a status quo, same as child sacrifices and/or ritualistic killing of children with Abraham then.

People then and even to date, are doing detestable things God hates and they really, are things, deserving intense dislikes. They are, things like, people believing that by performing child sacrifices and/or carrying out ritualistic killing of children they are pleasing or appeasing the god(s). Off track, another is, performing ritual sex acts, allegedly to get blessings, where males offer themselves as temple prostitutes to patrons for sacred sexual rituals purpose(s) believing they will receive divine blessing, favour, power etcetera at the end or back of it.
