Acehart:"16And the LORD God commanded him, “You may eat freely from every tree of the garden, 17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”" - Genesis 2:16-17 Acehart, to be frank and honest with you, every word that proceeds from God, in effect, is law essentially, lmao The first law ever issued to man, as regards, acceptable conduct and right behaviour was the law in Genesis 2:16-17 Acehart:"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will grant the right to eat from the tree of life in the paradise of God." - Revelation 2:7 Nous verrons, but except you are into Jewish Kabbalah, contrary to you thinking that the TKGE is Adam, it is not. Fyi, I have an interest however in the pituitary gland and pineal gland relationship with the connection with gigantism (i.e. Nephilim) I am sure you know that by the time we have access back to Eden, the TKGE won't be there but we will have the Tree of life. The reason why the TKGE is be absent, is because it had served its purpose and so therefore has no further need, purpose or use for it to be present in the garden. The TKGE is conspicuously AWOL in Revelation 2:7 and Revelation 22:2. It is true my perspective on narratives, somehow at times, delightfully cycles round and over the TKGE (i.e. yup, as I like to call that the Tree of knowledge of Good & Evil) maybe because I am aware that the TKGE is an enigma to many and one so understood without depth of knowledge. Genesis chapter 3, and its associations with the TKGE, has its own fair share good interesting cases of elusive entendres, polysemous and deep recondite information. |
Maximus69:We are cool then, JW brother |
Maximus69: What are you saying that's smearing in the mouth? This a violation of purity, its pollution, its like as if pissing into clear waters or clean river, even Deuteronomy 22:26b says: "This case is just like one in which a man attacks his neighbour and murders him." It is taking something without consent of the owner given. Death, then was meant to serve a very strong message that such despicable, irresponsible and wicked behaviour would be not tolerated, as it rightly should not. We now live in a age, where human beings are believed to have come off age enough to have the right sense and be able to restrain themselves from behaving with carrying through animalistic urges and/or unrestrained beastly instincts. Marriage, by the way and incidentally, in one of the simplest of definitions, simply is, fundamentally a union or merger of two in a personal or somewhat relationship, symbiotic or non symbiotic. Maximus69:My dear JW brother, please don't read any meaning into using the "JW brother," there two things you have to consider in the issue about Mary who we all know, was betrothed to Joseph for marriage (i.e. engaged marriage between Mary and Joseph has being a mutual family agreement) and they are: 1/ There is no rape occurring between anyone in the case of Mary becoming impregrnated. Rape, by definition, is an act of forcing another person to have sexual intercourse with another person against their will and/or wish 2/ God is not man neither is He the son of man, and so therefore is not subjected to nor bound by, any part of Deuteronomy 22:25-29 |
Myketuale: Maximus69:"25If a man meets a girl in the country who is engaged to be married and then rapes her, the man alone —the one who had sexual relations with her—must die. 26As for the young lady, don’t do anything to her. The young lady did nothing worthy of death. This case is similar to when a man attacks his countryman and kills him. 27Since he found her in the country, the engaged girl may have cried out, but there was no one to rescue her. 28“However, if a man meets a girl who isn’t engaged to be married, and he seizes her, rapes her, and is later found out, 29then the man who raped her must give 50 shekels of silver to the girl’s father. Furthermore, he must marry her. Because he had violated her, he is to not divorce her as long as he lives" - Deuteronomy 22:25-29 Deuteronomy 22:25b, was then, the law(s) of the land, and as it is what took precedence and/or what was applied |
Myketuale:The Biblical punishment, as it now stands, is you shall reap what you sow. Rapists will get their comeuppance in the end. Kobojunkie: Acehart: Kobojunkie: Acehart: Goshen360:The first ever law given, was in the Eden and it was Genesis 2:17's "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it ..." It equally served as a covenant upon which when broken, means automatic eviction from Eden. The law, from the very beginning was there and sin is transgression of this law. Going against this expressed law brought in death and/or cause death to enter man's world. Every principle, law or covenant are everlasting. In the absence of a stronger, more powerful, superior principle, law or covenant, existing principles, laws or covenants remain relevant, but the moment something stronger, more powerful, superior comes on the scene they become redundant, impotent, useless, ineffective, emasculated, weakened Naturally human being obey the law of gravity the states what goes up must come down, but with the realisation of the law of aerodynamics, human beings now defy the law of gravity and so turn to pretend they can fly in the air just as like birds do, lmao Laws, commandments et cetera essentially at a rudimentary definition, simply are rules. Rules, are set of explicit or understood regulations one is expected to follow in regards to conduct or how you behave yourself in particular areas of activities. Adam and Eve in Eden were aware of what the rules were. Even Cain, outside Eden, was informed by God that he Cain knows what right there is to do (i.e. Genesis 4:6-7) |
donnie:"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” - John 13:34 Israel, can be a light to the nations thereby extending the blessing, by obeying the 11th commandment as given by Yahushua Ha Mashiach clearly seen in John 13:34 above. C'mon nah, Mr d, the Gospel cannot exclusively be only for Israel/the Israelites. donnie:"So you actually admit that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets!" - Matthew 23:31 C'mon now, please don't be conservative with the truth. Israel, by her own doing, destroyed herself. God begged Israel stay, He literally was crawling over broken bottles, as He grovelled to Israel. He sent prophets to her, but what did she do. Israel and her sister, they killed the prophets. donnie:C'mon nah, Mr d, are you saying that in light of evidences of Yahushua Ha Mashiach, first sent out His inner caucus 12 disciples, saying: "Do not go onto the road of the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans" (i.e. in Matthew 10:5-15, Luke 9:1-6 or Mark 6:7-13) and then a few days later on, when the time was ripe, He switched gear and opened the floodgate, to the Gentiles and Samaritans, when He here then, appointed 70-72 other disciples and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place He was about to visit (i.e. Luke 10:1-20) that Gospel is not for all and sundry ni? You surely are not saying YAH's plan of salvation of souls, the redemption of souls and the reconciliation back to Him is for Israel/the Israelites exclusively, are you? Baba d, note that, before the arrival of Constantine Christianity, the Israelites and others, have been romanticising with animism, Babylon mythology, Mesopotamia occult influences, ancestral worships, idolatry, spiritism et cetera donnie:No one would in their right sense would ever approve of vandalism, thievery, thuggery, participation in civil unrest that involves damage to property and injury to or killing of other people. donnie:Who are the enemies? What do these enemies look like? What's their face like or names? donnie:More to come of what? donnie:These are warning signs of what? |
Perfectbeing:Please stop, saying what not the bible never said nor say. Jesus never described anything called the character of a Christian, but that's just saying. Talking of what really transpired in the bible, it never called Cornelius self righteous, but instead, it called him a devout and God-fearing that he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly (i.e. Acts 10:2, 22) The whole idea of the Apostle's visit to Cornelius, was a set up and actually was for the benefit of Peter, (i.e. Acts 10:34) himself and other circumcised believers (i.e. Acts 10:45). Now would you believe that, after the floodgate was officially flung wide open for the Gentile to have a pass into the kingdom, that the apostles and other believers throughout Judea, who heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God when Peter went up to visit Cornelius, criticised him for mixing with Gentiles (i.e. Acts 11:1-2) against Jewish tradition. The price for Salvation has already been paid, hence from why its possible that genuine altruism and brotherly love seems according to Matthew 25:31-46 to be a free pass take ones inheritance, and to enter the kingdom as prepared for one since the creation of the world. Giving is not a show of righteousness, because the righteousness that we have it the righteousness of God in Christ, so please don't get things twisted by trying to equate people's selflessness as a form of self righteous display, when it isn't. Those people were even surprised when the King informed them that it is was exactly them feeding others when they were hungry, giving others water when they were thirsty , clothing others when they were naked, entertaining strangers, visiting prisoners and the sick et cetera that qualified them free pass to eternal life. It definitely has to be having elements of spiritual literacy that would drive one to be religious in specified areas of serving the marginalised, oppressed, frustrated, dejected, homeless, destitute, incarcerated, poorly in health et cetera. For you to type, that, religion breeds spiritual illiteracy, just shows how you haven't the foggiest idea, what true and pure religion, one that God won't find fault with, is. |
sonmvayina:You're a provocateur. Have a good evening. |
donnie:"And through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”" - Genesis 22:18 "Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and east and north and south. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your offspring" - Genesis 28:14 The Gospel is for the whole wide world not just Israel/the Israelites |
ObaOfUyo: Poverty nah bastard Hin no go beta for poverty |
donnie:"18Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of His sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only. 20 And the Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until He had cast them out of His sight" - 2 Kings 17:18,20 "Surely, as a wife treacherously departs from her husband, So have you dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel,” says the LORD." - Jeremiah 3:20 "For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have been utterly unfaithful to Me,” declares the LORD." - Jeremiah 5:11 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what he has done." - Revelation 22:12 I am not sure why your fixation is on Christians, when Matthew 13:28-30, is merely saying, let each be, let each continue to do what each is best at doing, if its being bad, so be it. If its being good, equally so be it. All this because pulling out the weeds, might inadvertently cause the wheat to be uprooted, so, the Farmer says, let both grow together until the harvest. Praise YAH. Alleluia. Jesus is coming soon. |
sonmvayina: sonmvayina:Thank you, for the heads up about on the edits to the original post you made. Unfortunately your adjustments don't make any difference because Genesis 3:15 isn't about Christianity, lmao because it is a prophecy about hope of reconciliation and redemption (i.e. bringing back et cetera) The first prophecy was Genesis 2:17, this got fulfilled at Genesis 3:6. Now Genesis 3:15, is the second prophecy ever said in the Bible. This particular prophecy declared a free for all fight that will in the future happen. This certainly 2000 years did happen. Round two, is just right round the corner. I am sure this isn't the first time, you've read me, type that, if only more christians, do/did properly read their bibles, there'd be less christians. |
sonmvayina:Fyi, Genesis 3:15, is prophecy #2 and it is called the protoevangelium or first gospel. sonmvayina:You're dumber, so I'll be doing catching up, if I do decide to try being dumb, lmao sonmvayina:As I've earlier mentioned above, Genesis 3:15 is called the first prophecy of the Messiah, the beginning of salvation history with fulfillment in Jesus Christ sonmvayina:Why are you saying the same thing twice (i.e. ''... no mention of devil or satan in the Satan in the story'') |

Righteousness89:What you think/thought "for The Rapture..." is, is not rapture about a transportation of believers into heaven at the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ et cetera nature or kind that you've learned and/or was taught Lostz:Gbam. BackllGodNaija:Gbam petra1:Smh. RiyadhGoddess:Amen OnPointMan:Not everyone who followed Jesus Christ was a disciple donnie:"28‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. So the servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ 29‘No,’ he said, ‘if you pull the weeds now, you might uproot the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat into my barn." - Matthew 13:28-30 |
Perfectbeing:I want to believe that you have the good sense of not trying to say that, all those people who died before Jesus was born, are at a disadvantage of not having the opportunity of getting lead to Jesus, hmm? Perfectbeing:"31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." - Matthew 25:31-46 God is Just, so that sin can't go unpunished, this is why God came to earth, to DIY, present Himself, as our Lord that He is, Jesus Christ, the Redeemer and Saviour of the whole wide world, to pay the price of death, dying in our place, as the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the fallen world. Praise God. Alleluia. Salvation, is already given for them that deserve it, and so from that Matthew 25:31-46 above, you should be able to see that if not for the salvation made available, those welcomed in, to take their inheritance, the kingdom prepared for them since the creation of the world was because of their empathy, compassion and help rendered to the needy et cetera. Perfectbeing:It is evidenced that true and pure religion, is done as a result of having spiritual literacy! When you have understanding of spiritual things in specified areas of altruism, selflessness, et cetera, it is religion without flaw, that even God won't be find fault if done at the right time, right way and carried out remaining in right standing with God. |
The possessor of information, knowledge and/or wisdom has been given a very precious and powerful gift, wherever information and/or knowledge is, you should seek, to be a possessor of. Some of us, have become used to foolishness and don't enjoy being challenged of misinterpretations or incorrect interpretations |
Offpoint:Suit yourself. There is no human being, from whom we cannot learn something, if we are interested enough about knowing a truth. Personally I have never met a man so ignorant, that I couldn't learn something from. This is my last reply on this matter. |
Offpoint:If a crooked stick is before you, you need not explain how crooked it is. What is simply required, is to lay a straight stick down by the side of it, and the work is well done. Preach the truth, and whatever error till date, will stand abashed. You are embarrassed that all this while you were scammed about the true translation and meaning of the remark "... lema sabachthani" in Matthew 27:46 and/or Mark 15:34 Offpoint:All scripture is given by inspiration of God. It unfortunately, is not the same case for translated original Bible manuscript versions, lmao Offpoint:Ignorance and arrogance are a lethal combination. Smh at you behaving as if like an "oloorun atọle." I won't be surprised if it turns out you actually are. Knowledge is learning something new every day. Wisdom is letting go of something every day. You are not yet ready to let dead leaves fall off and drop, lmao. You prefer to pretend you understand something when you really don't. Smh. |
sonmvayina:At what point did the Romans cook up Jesus?. Are you saying the Romans inserted the prophecy about Jesus into Genesis 3:15? C'mon now friend, you could do better than this |
Offpoint:So you do accept that you are unable to provide bible verses aside the misinterpreted Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 that have "forsaken me/left me/abandoned,""forsaken," "leave" or even "abandoned" translated as "sabachthani" abi, hmm? Just humbly admit so I can walk you through: 1/ the correct translation of Matthew 27:46 and/or Mark 15:34 2/ the correct translation of "... lema sabachthani" 3/ Jesus' seven last dying words on the cross, of which Matthew 27:46 and/or Mark 15:34 is the fourth, as could be seen below i) Luke 23:34 - Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. ii) Luke 23:43 - Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise. iii) John 19:26-27 - Woman, behold your son. Son Behold your mother. iv) Matthew 27:46 & Mark 15:34 - My God, My God, (this bit I've blanked out, to reveal more on it, later) v) John 19:28 - I thirst. vi) John 19:30 - It is finished (or "It is accomplished'') vii) Luke 23:46 - Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. 4/ whose hearing and targeted audience were those above last seven dying words of Jesus said to 5/ the reason why Jesus uttered the quotes in Matthew 27:46 and/or Mark 15:34 |
Offpoint:My guy, just admit you are unable to. There is no shame in saying "I don't know". You wouldn't lose anything from being open minded brother. C'mon. No one is an island of knowledge. No one has a monopoly of knowledge. At the rate that you're going you'll, it seems want to miss a learning opportunity. It seems you haven't had anyone call you up on the misinterpretation of Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 before abi, lmao |
Offpoint:You are still riding high on top your up there horse abi. It's going to be a long fall from high up on that horse, brother. Please be humble and lowly in spirit in order to gain honour. Offpoint:Thank you for your response, but simply just honour my request below please. Now I am 1000% sure that Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:3, are not the only verses in the whole of the Old Testament that "forsaken" or "leave" or even "abandoned" are used, so please Offpoint, kindly show me bible verses that has "forsaken me/left me/abandoned" or "forsaken" or "leave" or even "abandoned" as "sabachthani" Fyi a search of KJV shows 126 hits searching for the word "forsake" and 67 hits for the word "forsaken", so therefore Offpoint, please give me proof of any of those hits for the words "forsake" and forsaken" ever get translated to the Aramaic word "sabachthani" |
Offpoint:You are not only a loudmouth braggart, you also are unable to comprehensibly read the explanation because as I earlier did say you have read a bible verse in isolation without at all contextually try to understand the background. Now you are playing the denominational card, bringing in the mentioning of JW |
Offpoint: What is it, so difficult for you to bring evidence(s) you have in the Bible, wherever that "sabachthani" is used to mean "forsaken" or "leave" or even "abandoned", hmm? There are 36 books in the Bible (i.e. Protestant) or 46 books (i.e. if Catholic), so why do you find it hard to produce in any of those 36 or 46 books, translations of "forsaken" or "leave" or even "abandoned" that shows as "sabachthani"? You are a dishonest and insincere person. You know you can't and won't find anywhere in the bible "forsaken" or "leave" or even "abandoned" translated as "sabachthani". Now the realisation of this fact and truth, exposes your misinterpretation of Matthew:27-46 and Mark:15:34 that you are not yet ready to face, and so why you are playing hide and seek, running upandan the place taking delight in your ignorance |
Perfectbeing:You get and/or have people to know Christ from giving to the poor and needy. I remember almost 30 years ago, from the West End, I gave a lift to a bloke I didn't know from Adam. Within five minutes of picking this guy up, the guy surprised most likely he was, asked me, that am I a believer, obviously it must have puzzled him why I stopped to give him a lift. I am not one keen on blowing my horn, so I'll just stop there with that illustration or example of how empathy, compassion, giving to the poor, helping the needy et cetera does help people to know Christ. I am witness that can attest the reality that true and pure religion breeds spiritual literacy. Religion without a fault or flaw often is an ice breaker to know about Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God |
Offpoint:"Eli, Eli, lama, sabachthani" - Matthew 27:46 "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani" - Mark 15:34 brother, I use all available bible translation versions. I am not rigid. I am not your typical KJV only person, lmao You would, of course, have noticed that I have always being upfront, open with you by laying my cards in front and facing up, lmao. It is because I am sure of what I am discussing about with you. Now, to further prove my sincerity and honesty, I'll will share this next bit with you. Let me confess to you, what I consider to be one of my in-house "trade secrets". So, one of the first places I go to, when reading bible verses, is my interlinear(s), then maybe my concordance(s), next could be me, zeroing on finding out the etymologies on whatever particular words, they are, that have aroused me developing interests and/or curiosities in them. I literally do 2 Timothy 2:15, to the letter and spirit of the verse, lmao. Offpoint:You really need to pour cold water on your unnecessarily steaming attitude brother ![]() |
Offpoint: Acehart:Leave the guy bro, I have this covered Offpoint:As if I care Offpoint:"17As Jesus started on His way, a man ran up and knelt before Him. “Good Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18“Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone." - Mark 10:17-18 I've now realised that you are nothing other than a loudmouth braggart. You defo surely have a big green L-plate hanging round your neck because if not, you should know that a good bible student/teacher never reads bible verses in isolation. Context is King. Never read a bible text out of context, because if you do, it implies you are reading the narrative under pretext. I am not going to continue have you waste or squander my precious time replying to except say, if you had the sense to read that verse contextually, you would have noticed that the man earlier had used an adjective usually reserved for and/or associated with God. Now on the strength of that, Jesus before giving the answer to the man's question, first let it be established that the man realises that he is taking to God. The man did not dispute nor argue with Jesus telling him that because he called Jesus, Good Teacher, on the strength of using Good, he is actually is implying that Jesus is God. With that truth not being contested by the man, Jesus then went ahead to answer the man's question, but of course the rest is history that because of the man's strong attachment to money, wealth and riches, which Jesus already knew about, being God that He is, the man couldn't stomach Jesus' answer to him about selling everything and follow Him, lmao. He was saddened asked to that and so declined the instruction. Jesus' response was, He looked around and said to His disciples : "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!” (i.e. Mark 10:23 ) |
Offpoint:Just thank your lucky stars, that I didnt get to expose you in public. Yeah run and go hide yourself in shame with your tattered ego in shreds. How dare you come online unable to substantiate your inherited badly learned interpretation of Matthew 27:46 and even equally Mark 15:34 verse. If you are confident and 10000% certain that "... lema sabachthani?" really meant "forsaken me" or "leave me" or even "abandoned me" then provide a corroborative bible verse that uses "sabachthani" to mean "forsaken" or "leave" or even "abandoned" You can see how a fair minded person I am, because I have dropped the bar and made it easier for you to prove your questionable and suspect interpretation of Matthew 27:46 and/or Mark 15:34 lmao How dare you try to say that JESUS was "forsaken" or "left" or even "abandoned" by God ![]() I STRONGLY AND CONFIDENTLY HAVE THE ANSWER, ITS YOU WHO IS GOING TO WALLOW IN YOUR IGNORANCE, LOL |
Offpoint:Big fat lie. Here you come with making an outlandish statement you can't substantiate. If you are sure you aren't telling porkies, like you did with that "... lema sabachthani?" alleging it to mean "forsaken me" or "leave me" or even "abandoned me" then show where in the scripture, Jesus rebuked those who regarded Him as God. Provide the bible verses, where Jesus ever told anyone off for perceiving Him or calling Him God. Offpoint:Going the TRINITY way, is just a red herring and shouldn't be any another topic for any another day. God might have revealed Himself to us in terms of trinity, God however is INFINITY and not limited to TRINITY. |
Stephenmoka4:Please don't be hard on yourself. You're loving Him unconditionally to the best of your ability to do so and thats what really counts. It matters and means a lot to God Stephenmoka4:Though I have bumped into you a few odd times on Nairaland, I wouldn't say, I know you from Adam, but you've come across as someone, like young David, whom about God said, He has found a man after His own Heart and/or even Lazarus, the disciple whom the Lord, Jesus Christ loved Man looks at the outward appearance, but God sees the heart. I am sure God sees your heart. You're an an image of God, a construction site, a work in progress that's gradually slowly but surely bringing out the likeness of God in you Stephenmoka4:"20On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. 21Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.” 22Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?” 23Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me." - John 14:20-24 As I have earlier advanced about God, that God is love. Now God has inexhaustible love ceaselessly flowing out. I'll tell you what really is awful. It is having love to give, have love to shower with, but there's nobody to give or shower the love upon. It is why some people take to having dogs, cats et cetera, reasoning that if there is no one to love, they'll substitute them with animal pets God is self sufficient. Our God doesn't need our love for His survival. He doesn't need our worship or our praising Him for His existence. Keeping every commandment that proceeded from Jesus Christ's mouth is how you love God (i.e. John 14:20-24) |
