I won't buy the OnePlus Nord over the Ultra

I agree. I'm only considering it in case Xiaomi refuses to release global version of K30 Ultra.

For now till Xiaomi decides otherwise Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra as well as Redmi 10X 5G/10X Pro, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom and Mi 10 Youth are all China exclusive.

I hope they release it globally. What do you think of the OnePlus Nord? I saw it being compared to the K30 Ultra.

The Mi 10 series(all four), Poco f2 Pro, Redmi 10x 5G/Pro.

Please is it true that Redmi K30 Ultra is only available for China? I just watched a review that said it's China exclusive.

Just ban or suspend anyone that disturbs the peace of this thread

My thoughts exactly. Simply deal with whoever violates the rules instead of closing the whole thread.

Jumia won't sell Chinese Version to you.

It is only AliExpress that the variations and we know how to navigate through it.

Jumia actually sold a global ROM RN6 to my colleague instead of global version. It was a Jumia global order. When he complained he was told to return it an get a refund but he didnt really mind so he kept it.

Like I said earlier cut-out is an iteration of the punch-hole. While punch-holes are placed at the corners, cut-outs are made at the center of the display

Thanks. I think punch-holes look better.

This RN9 has a cut-out camera which is an iteration of the punch-hole cameras. RN6, 7,8 had different iteration of the infamous notch.

Pls what is the difference between punch-hole and cut-out cameras? I used to think that they are referring to the same thing.

Pls i have been reading some user reviews that xiaomi phones last for one yr and after that it begins to have issues.
Is it true before i enter one chance

I have used 2 Xiaomi phones (Redmi 4 prime and RN5AI). The first is already 3 years old while the second is almost 2 years. Both are still working perfectly without any problem. You can ask veterans on this thread about their experiences and they will tell you how durable the brand is. If you use your phone well you won't have any problem.

When i got my Redmi 8, i didn't notice any sim activation ish, plus my Sims are working fine or am i missing something? pls educate me

It could have activated by sms without you knowing or it could still be not activated. Even if it's not activated, it does not disturb the normal operation of your phone. Let the bosses shed more light on it.

Abeg na.. How to deactivate the xiaomi sim service

You can follow this process to activate the sim without being charged 50naira for sms.

Activate SIM card on Xiaomi official site
It is an easy and effective method if the cause of this issue is an error has made in registering a Mi Account. To employ this method one has to enter Xiaomi official site https://account.xiaomi.com and enter his/her Mi Account login and password. Then open "Security" tab and enter the phone number (check whether it is correct, if it’s not, fix it). The only remains is to tap "Change" and wait for a message on the phone. This message will contain a code which is to enter into the website. Sometimes these actions are enough to activate SIM card.

grin My phone still isn't displaying the 4G network after their representative said the sim has been provisioned for 4G. That's why I wanted to be sure it's something related to band issue, and not the customer service giving me the wrong information

Did you receive a message from 7018? Sometimes it takes a while.

I'm having bad data connectivity on my redmi 8 but if I put the sim in my brother redmi note 5 its fast and normal, is it a normal thing on the phone, cause I'm not understanding anymore

It could be your APN settings. Compare with the APN settings on your brother's RN5 or create a new APN. Check google for your networks APN.
