Politics / Re: We Looted N14.3b Pension Cash, Suspects Confess by muyoto: 9:08pm On Mar 19, 2012
An EFCC source, who pleaded not to be named because the matter is under investigation, said: “The Permanent Secretary and the two directors were at various times Director of Police Pension Funds. During interrogation, one of them admitted embezzling N1.9billion; the second said he mismanaged over N3billion and the third confessed to fiddling with N8billion.

madness; sheer unadulterated insanity.

WTH was he going to do with such a colossal sum? and didn't he think for that he would be discovered?

Politics / Re: Gov Kwankwaso Gives 200 Unemployed Graduates ₦50,000 Each In Kano by muyoto: 8:52pm On Mar 19, 2012
Me_Aboki:
On the issue of killing people, surely shouldn't you be more concerned with the real killers i.e. those that engage in deliberate importation and distribution of fake drugs, responsible for the silent killing of thousands of innocent people on daily basis - and we all know the major culprits, don't we?

no need to get sentimental here. how many of such fake drug peddlers do you see benefiting from their governor's largess? it doesn't make much sense to equate a patently illegal and reprehensible activity with what Kwankwaso has done.
Politics / Re: Gov Kwankwaso Gives 200 Unemployed Graduates ₦50,000 Each In Kano by muyoto: 8:46pm On Mar 19, 2012

“In 2004, Nigeria’s relative poverty measurement stood at 54.4 per cent but increased to 69 per cent or 112.518 million Nigerians in 2010.’’

Business / Re: At What Age Should One Be A Millionaire? by muyoto: 10:22pm On Mar 18, 2012
Jarus: Even if in Naira, I think having 1 million Naira in bank a/c doesnt make one a millionaire yet. A millionaire must have several millions in cash and assets, or net worth. Also, the millions should be stable and not having 3m today and broke over next 3 months. And very comfortable with millions.

In the above sense, I am clearly not a millionaire. But if we are talking about owning first million, then maybe I did that at 26. And my education wasn't fast, graduated @ 24.

interesting. i suppose the thread should have been more appropriately named "AT WHAT AGE SHOULD ONE MAKE HIS/HER FIRST MILLION?"

Nairaland / General / Re: The New Nairaland Is Such A Bad Experiment by muyoto: 10:03pm On Mar 18, 2012
I'm getting sick of these whining threads. I counted no less than 10 of these on this same issue. how many more una go open sef? the owner has made himself clear on a number of occasions, The new NL is here to STAY!! where you have specific issues, make them known. but please lets quit whining.

Personally i believe with some tweaks here and there, this new one will outdo the previous version.
