Car Talk / Re: Car Brands/models You Wouldn't Want To Use Ever Again (from Previous Experience) by muyoto: 2:55pm On Mar 30, 2012
kruku: Do not blame the car/brand. The makers of these vehicles spent years in the lab trying to come out with the best. There is no one car that is unique without a distinct question mark in one area of its design, I would rather put blame on our bad roads and lack of original spares.Remember, sometimes we buy junks all in the name of being "clean" and "FF AC" very cold! [flash][/flash]

The question remains that even with our bad road, poorly trained mechanics and general abysmal maintenance culture, why do some cars (eg toyota products) still perform way better than others?

As long as its not too pronounced, I believe a slight 'k' actually accentuates the curve of the hips, giving the lady a nice full figure.

Health / Re: 84 Percent Of Anti-malaria Drugs In Lagos Are Fake’ by muyoto: 12:57pm On Mar 30, 2012
Ok since blissful ignorance is evidently having a field day here, informed clarifications are therefore in order.

first the post's title is misleading. there are 5 approved ACTs available in the market. The study focused on just one of them, artesunate-amodiaqune, whose percentage of active constituent as determined by the Unilag team gave rise to the disturbing findings. this lead to the conclusion - valid one, BTW - that 84% of that brand are fake.

However, one is baffled how the extrapolation to all antimalarials in the Nigerian market came about.

This is not an attempt to downplay the seriousness of drug counterfeiting in the market today; nonetheless sensationalism, especially on sensitive matters like this end up doing more harm than good and are better eschewed.

Travel / Re: Experience On Night Travelling, New Dimension To Robbery Due To Cashless Society by muyoto: 12:23pm On Mar 29, 2012
Such things may indeed happen, but this particular one, I have to say, is riddled with so many inconsistencies that renders its possibility virtually nil.

na wao! when I saw the comments on the other thread, i thought they were exaggerations. It appears not.

However it should be noted these kidnappers are not spirits. Just like the Osisikanwu case has shown, those bazztards are able to operate successfully because of the connivance of some locals.

Politics / Re: 14 Die In Kaduna-abuja Highway Crash by muyoto: 12:04pm On Mar 29, 2012
that kaduna road, perhaps due to its relatively smooth nature, unlike those in the southern parts, is notorious for excessive speeding by drivers, commercial and private alike. Quite unfotunate

Health / Re: I Am 23Years Old But I Look 33 Years Old - Help! by muyoto: 9:03pm On Mar 27, 2012
tunnytox: Ironically I'm the opposite I'm now in my mid 30's but could easily pass for a 19 years old. Many people will tell be its a blessing but this extremely young look of mine coupled with my slim stature sometimes could be annoying. For instance, I have to carry my drivers licence with me all the time especially if I want to go into the pub or buy alcohol.

I remember a very funny incident that happened about 3 months ago, I boarded a bus to work and the driver asked if I want an adult pass or a young person's I was like WTF!!! do I really look this young? even at work today 2 of the new under 19 apprentices asked if i'm one of them and where i'm posted to, when i told them my real age they wouldn't believe.

funny, i belong to the same category. For a guy i think it better to look older than your age than look younger.
Family / Re: HIV & Work: Desperately In Need Of Advice by muyoto: 8:56pm On Mar 27, 2012
soapdish: @OP If you are on ARV drugs long before the medicals, your viral load would likely be very low and may not be detected. That is your best option. If you have not started on the drugs, you better start. Goodluck.

The tests used are based on the presence of antibodies to HIV, and the not virus itself. So even if the viral level is undetectable, the test will most likely show positive.

@OP, the need for the test will be mostly for documentation purposes, and not as a basis for denying you employment. Like most contributors have said, it's best to involve your relations particularly your uncle.

Best of luck smiley

Crime / Re: Robbers Kill Three & Cart Away ₦12m At A Petrol Station In Onitsha by muyoto: 8:43pm On Mar 27, 2012
Ninapha: One cannot say exactly how much they were carrying. The lady cashier i gathered died this morning too while the said filling station is still under lock and key. I presume it must be turnover of Friday, Saturday and Sunday they were going to deposit. I said this because of the time of the incident. The shooting happened just a stone throw from my office.

Well the newspapers claim N12m, a figure which think is unlikely to have arose from three days' sale (ie about 4M/day!!)

This is probably an insider's job
