Jesus Christ, according to Scripture, is the Word of God. I wholly accept Him as God's Truth aka Word - John 14 vs 6 undecided

And as Jesus Christ made clear, He was sent by the Father only to the lost sheep of Israel. The implication of this is that even from among the Gentiles, only those of them whose ancestry traces back to Israel — the blood of Jacob is in their veins — can partake of God's mercy to mankind in Jesus Christ. This is to say that the Kingdom of God belongs only to those who are the lost sheep of Israel.
You believe in Jesus Chist based on what was written about him. You never saw Jesus Christ.
So why don't you believe in the others? Since they were selected by the same God that sent Jesus.

2. I believe you and I have already been through this and many others like it here before. So why do you think asking me the same set will change my response? Kindly reach back through the archives to revisit my responses rather than continue derailing the thread, please. undecided

The focus here should remain on Jesus Christ and His message. undecided
1. You don't believe in Jesus Christ anymore? Cos he's on the list and you've never met him yet but you believe what the Bible says about him.

2. Here's what Peter had to say about our apostle (to the gentiles). 2Peter 3:15-16
Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.16He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

So once again I ask this cogent question;
Do you believe Paul is an Apostle of Christ and selected by the Holy Spirit?

Jesus Christ said of His followers to His followers that by their fruits you shall know them. I never met the man Paul personally so how could I know if He was of Christ or not given the impossibility of the situation here --- I can't examine the fruits of a dead man. undecided

Look, God is my compass and all things are meant to be sifted through His Word, not through the words of any man or men. I don't worship nor witness on behalf of any other. undecided

Did you meet Jesus Christ?
Did you meet Peter?
Did youbmeet John?
Did you meet Moses?
Did you meet David?
Did you meet Abraham?
Did you meet Isaiah?
Did you meet Jeremiah?
Did you meet Ezekiel?

Why do you believe the accounts of the Bible in the synoptic gospels but have issues with the accounts of the Bible concerning Paul?

I don't know why we are having this discourse.
But trust be, it's an important one
One that ushers both of us into a deeper understanding of the Mind of Christ.

1. I have no clue what you mean by that at all. I process everything written in scripture weighing it all against the very Word out of God's mouth to determine Truth from lies. undecided

2. So, what you are saying is that since Jesus Christ said He is sent by God, the Father, only to the lost sheep of Israel meaning the Kingdom of God is only open to the lost sheep of israel, Paul has another Kingdom, of his own, which he offers to the non-isrealites then? undecided

3. According to Jesus Christ, the Holyspirit who happens to be the very same Spirit of Truth that lives on the inside of Him is subject to Him, Jesus Christ- John 14 vs 15 - 27 & John 15 vs 26 - 27 & John 16 vs 4 - 15 . As a result, the Spirit of Truth will never contradict or contravention Jesus Christ as He will only teach that taught by Jesus Christ and give revelation which pertains to Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God to those in whom He dwells in. So, when you say the Holyspirit will guide my study, are you somehow insinuating He will reveal me that which violates the Truth of God as declared by Jesus Christ Himself? undecided

4. I don't worship any man regardless of his rank or title. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and my work is to believe in the one who the Father sent, and that is Jesus Christ. Any idea that contradicts His Truth is simply not of Him. lipsrsealed
I have only 1 question at this juncture;

Do you agree that Paul is an Apostle of Christ selected by the Holyspirit? Acts 13:2
Christianity EtcRe: Why I Don't Need Jesus. by Myer(m): 11:04am On Dec 17, 2022
Kobojunkie:
1. Jesus Christ was born in Judae -- no such as physical israel. God had already cursed and scattered Israel across the Nations at that time. undecided

2. This is false! God didn't send the disciples to the gentiles to provoke the Jews. He instead sent them into the Gentile world to begin gathering the rest of the lost sheep of Israel to Himself. That is what God said would happen in both the Law of Moses and also through the prophet Isaiah among others. undecided

As for Paul's supposed prayer, I don't know about that given God already said, from the time of Moses, that He would gather His Israel back to Himself So such a prayer is meaningless. undecided

3. In Jesus Christ, there are only Israelites - those who have the blood of Jacob coursing through their veins. That is what Jesus Christ explained to His followers when He said that He was sent only to the Lost sheep of Israel. So, if you are of the ancestry of Jacob, you cannot be of Jesus Christ is what Jesus Christ Himself said. ! undecided
I understand from your interactions on NL that you only regaled the Synoptics as gospel.
But I also know that until you accept the whole bible as the Word of God, you will not grasp the true intent of God.
Paul's epistles were written for the Gentiles, except the book of Hebrews which was written for both the Jews and matured Gentiles.

When you truly let the Holyspirt guide your study of the Bible, the Word truly becomes flesh to you.

Be careful how you disparage and dishonor your Apostle Paul, because truly, he is the Apostle (Sent) to the Gentiles (us).

1. I am afraid you still have it all wrong! What Jesus Christ said is that the Father sent Him to offer the agreement of peace only to those who have the blood of Jacob coursing through their veins meaning that if you ancestry if not of Israel, you cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. undecided

Jesus Christ came to do the Will of the Father who sent Him and the context of God's Will does not change for any man or people. Jesus Christ may have healed gentiles(none Israelites), but He did not extend the Kingdom of God to them throughout His time on earth because it is against the Will of God to give to the dogs that which is Holy - Matthew 7 vs 6. And this Will did not change even after Jesus Christ sent His disciples into the world.. undecided

2. Yes, He did not preach outside of the borders of Judea but He also did not teach the Gentiles who were within those borders either because Salvation was sent by God only to the Israelites -- the dogs(none Israelite Gentiles) are not part of God's plan. undecided

3. That's not entirely correct. What Peter, I believe, may have been doing at the time was, sticking to preaching only to the Jewish subset of Israel -- those from the tribe of Judah, Benjamin and part of the Levite Clan. And for this reason, the Spirit revealed to Him that those from all tribes, even those whose roots were long lost after so long in exile were also a part of God's plan. undecided

As for Cornelius and the members of His family who became born-again, they had to have had the blood of Jacob coursing through their veins in order for that to have taken place. Else, Jesus Christ was nothing but a liar and the Kingdom of God a sham. undecided

4. I disagree with this since the same mandate was given by Jesus Christ to all of His followers which is to go and teach His Gospel to the world(Israel in exile). That Peter had problems grasping the stated does not mean Paul and Barnabas were specifically called or anything like that. After all we read in the same books of Acts that of Philip, one of the disciples who walked with Jesus Christ, matching directly to the Gentiles from the beginning to spread the news to those in the Gentile world. lipsrsealed
I gave a comprehensive reply to this last night, but it didn't drop.
In summary, we're saying the same thing, you just don't get it.

God's plan since the fall of Adam and Blessing of Abraham has been to redeem and bless the whole world, starting with Israel first. Acts 2:39

But before the death of Christ, he was only sent to the physical Israel.
When they rejected him as prophesied by Isaiah, God sent his disciples to the Gentiles to provoke them into jealousy. Which by so doing Paul prays that his fellow Israelites would finally come to accept Christ.

Pas: We are the Gentiles. But in Christ, there's no Jew or Gentile. We are all the same in Christ.
Christianity EtcRe: Why I Don't Need Jesus. by Myer(m):
Kobojunkie:
Jesus Christ's mission is to the lost sheep of Israel, Israel's children who were scattered, by God, to all the ends of the earth - to every tribe, every tongue, and every nation out there.
The lost sheep of Israel are gentiles too who have the blood of Jacob in them. And they are to be found in every nation. That is what God said make clear even right in His Law of Moses. He would scatter them, and He would, later on, gather them back when the time is right. So, yes, they are those recognized by God as the sinners of this world. undecided

So, as Jesus Christ made clear through His teachings and the fact that He called His followers to be fishers of men implying that He did not come for everyone, He is indeed sent only to the lost sheep of Israel, and the man standing right next to you right this minute could be one of them. undecided
You're right. After the death of Christ, the lost sheep of Israel includes both Israelites and Gentiles. But during His ministry and the context of the verse, Jesus was only referring to the actual Israelites and not Gentiles.
He only ministered to and healed Gentiles whose faith were too great, he could not resist.

Which is corroborated by the observation that through out his ministry on earth, he never preached outside Israel (geographically).

In fact Peter and the other disciples were following the template of Jesus and never even wanted the Gentiles to receive the Holy Spirit until God had to show Peter in a trance not to call unclean what he calls clean and Cornelius and his household received the Holyspirit.

Peter's wasn't so comfortable with this, which was also why the Holyspirit selected Paul and Barnabas specially for that purpose, to be sent to the Gentiles.
This is why Paul often refers to himself as the Apostle to the Gentiles (Uncircumcised)
And after that other disciples followed suit including Philip.

I'm trying to understand why you said I'm wrong, when you simply paraphrased what I said.

1. God's plan since Adam's fall and Abraham's Promise has always been to redeem and bless the whole world through Israel.

2. Jesus Himself said this but occasionally healed few Gentiles according to their great faith.

3. The book of Acts categorically teaches that the Holyspirit separated Paul and Barnabas to be sent to the Gentiles.

4. Paul refers to himself as Apostle to the circumcised and Peter as Apostle to the Uncircumcised.

5. God's plan has always been to Israel first then to the Gentiles. Which also Isaiah prophesied that the israelites will reject Jesus, thereby provoking God into jealousy to extent his salvation to the Gentiles to likewise provoke the Jews into jealousy.
Paul prayer being that the israelites will by this provocation come into salvation.

Good evening house

Sorry to bore you with my issues

My mum and dad separated 24 years ago

Reason for separation
My only biological bro died from malaria
My dad was unable to come up with money for treatment

My mum moved out took me with her
She remarried 2 years after
Gave birth to 4 leaving me with 4 step sibling
Some years back I heard my mum saying my dad has other children ( I don’t even know them ) I don’t even know my dad

I am a graduate now

So comfortable in life
Got lands houses and cars to my name

My problem now is I feel empty whenever I think of my dad
More like I don’t know my root

I plan on visiting mums home for Christmas
The problem is she hates my dad so much
any thing about that topic gets her angry

I don’t know how to convince to go show me my dads house

I don’t know possible ways to get her to show me my dad hus

Don’t even know if my dad is good
Don’t even know his family
Don’t even know my village
Everything I call family is just from my mother side

Zero from my dad side
I wish I can know them
I know a couple of single parents that also make this mistake.
Please, do not transfer your Hatred to your children.
Whether you like it or not we are social creatures. A child will seek his or her mom or dad eventually.

You would only end up making that missing parent seem like an angel if and when they do reunite.

Yes, it hurts when the person you want to spend the rest of your life with ends up being a disappointment.
But that between you and them(him or her).

Try as much as possible to raise your children in love.
Is it difficult? Bleep yeah!
But that's because it's very important.

Most of what you see online are sponsored posts.
All you need is to become or work with a social media influencer and you'll know what goes on behind the scenes.

PDP, APc and even your dear LP are all willing yo pay you millions to post smear campaigns against their opponents.

We all know Tinubu is old. He shouldn't be vying for presidency at his age and condition.
But we also know this- these 3 candidates were imposed on us. We did not choose them.
If we had our way, it will be Osinbajo/Fashola for APC, Peter Obi/Wike for PDP and maybe any other relevant party.
Unfortunatunately we are left with the 3 options; Tinubu, Peter Obi or Atiku.

Among these 3 who do you think will be able to perform?
Peter Obi is an outsider, obviously the Cabal will incapacitate him.
Frustrating his every effort and policy because he will be fighting against their system.
And there's nothing the youths will be able to do about it.

Atiku on the other hand is a part of the Cabal and will have no choice but to follow the selfish and destructive plans of the Cabal which might also include Islamization of Nigeria.

Tinubu on the other hand is a Yoruba first. Yoruba Muslims are not extremists. He is even married to a Christian wife, who will be his first lady.
More importantly, Tinubu is on a mission to salvage Nigeria from the whims and powers of the Cabal.

As a Yoruba man, I can't forget how the Northerners hoodwinked Awolowo to support the One Nigeria dream only to double cross him.

The West (Yoruba Kingdom) was the most developed geopolitical zone in Nigeria before Nigeria became one.
We had the first TV station, University, Free Education at grassroot level, etc
The West (UK/US) could not control both the Yorubas and the Igbos so they found a way of getting the Hausas to pitch the idea of One Nigeria to us, on the guise that Awolowo would be made the first president of the Federation.

Guess what happened?
They found a way of manipulating Nnamdi Azikwe by tempting him with the presidency.
He ended up double crossing Awolowo.

And the result, they arrested Awolowo on treason. And made Nnamdi Azikwe president.

Of course they (North/US/UK) knew their plan was never to make an Easterner the president. So they found a way of getting him assassinated. (You only need to read or watch Ojukwu and Awolowo's accounts of the whole fiasco).

This eventually led to the coup that led to the Biafra war due to reprisal attacks.
And the enmity that brewed between the East (Igbo) and West (Yotuba)

When you follow the history of Nigeria. You'll understand that East, West and South-South have to unite to be able to fight against the agenda and win the North ( and UK/US).

1. I didn't ask for an interpretation since a clear digest of what John the Baptist is written to have said there does not speak the same meaning which you claim. undecided

When Jesus Christ was in the womb, His mother was described in Luke 1 as being full of grace(Eternal Life). In John 1, it is written that Jesus Christ was full of Truth and Eternal Life(grace), and in John 14 vs 6 Jesus Himself reveals that He is indeed the very Eternal Life(Grace) and Truth THAT is God. In the same chapter, Jesus Christ also reveals that He and the Father will live inside of those who obey His teachings and commandments implying the very same Truth and Life will reside inside of all followers. So surely the statement made by John the Baptist in John 3 takes on more meaning when you consider this, and this idea that only Jesus Christ has the "full measure" of the Spirit of Truth begins to fall apart when you begin to put together all the other pieces of the puzzle found right in the teachings of Jesus Christ. undecided

2. Where in the teachings of Jesus Christ, Gospel, does this idea of yours come from? undecided

3. So are you insinuating then that for the apostles to have done even as Jesus Christ did means they also had the same measure of the Spirit of Truth that Jesus Christ had? undecided
When the Bible says he was full of grace and truth. What does that imply to you?
Was any other father of faith or apostle so described?

It means that not every one is full of grace and truth. But a given measure which God predetermines.
Even among the apostles we know Paul Peter and John had a measure beyond the other apostles.

You have been evading the simple question I've been asking since... Are you operating at the same measure of Jesus or even the early apostles? Even if its only in terms of miracles and wisdom?

I don't think I am free to interpret the verse as I wish as there is only one Truth and all other interpretation are lies. undecided

1. The apostles were able to perform miracles and operate in wisdom as far as we are able to pull from the stories told of them in the book of Acts, so are we to assume they had the same measure of the "Spirit" that Jesus Christ had then? undecided

2. Jesus Christ did state that those who belong to Him will do that which He did and more, meaning it ain't OK for anyone to fall short of that goal He set for all of His followers. So if a one is able to accomplish all that Jesus Christ did and more, would it then mean one has the same measure "Spirit" that Jesus Christ had? undecided

3. Jesus Christ did also warn that even false prophets and false teachers would do miracles, cast out demons and prophesy using His name, so are such things really a good enough way to Guage "measure" of "Spirit" a one has? undecided

4. This is not to say that it is OK for a one to have any of the signs indicated by Jesus Christ missing in his life, only that if may not be a good enough way to guage the presence of the Spirit of Truth in the life of a born-again, don't you think? undecided
I gave you the interpretation of the verse but you choose to reject it. Which is why I said you're free to have your own interpretation but it doesn't change the True interpretation that no one had the spirit in the same measure Jesus did, not even the early apostles.
It's a given.

Everyone one who is reborn of the Spirit receives the same Holyspirit.
But the measure and operation are different.

Otherwise, since you have the Holyspirit, you should operating atleast at the sane level/measure as the early apostles atleast.

So because Johh the Baptist said there that God gives the Spirit(Eternal Life and Truth) to Jesus Christ fully, we are to then conclude that God does not give the Spirit of Truth fully to those who are followers of Jesus Christ? undecided
You're free to interprete the verse as you wish.
If you have the same measure of yhe spirit as Jesus Christ, you should be performing the miracles he performed and operating with the wisdom he operated.

But clearly, you're not doing either.

Does the Holy Spirit aka the Spirit of Truth, the one who lived and operated inside of Jesus Christ Himself while He was here on earth, come in measures? If, yes, where did Jesus Christ, the one whose spirit and promise it is, reveal this? undecided
Only Jesus Christ had the spirit without measure.

John 3:34, KJV: For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
