My issue with him was his defcon on an entire religious group. I was equally incensed when he dissed black people yelling about what happened to them, especially now it's being done to him and he remembers a "we".

Sadly though that lesson is yet unlearnt to those of the present day church. They still mistake the Holy Spirit for the spirit of the prophets which they say is and expect to be subject to the prophets.

However as that instance clearly showed, the Spirit of God is anything but that. He is the Spirit of God so it's the prophet or the apostle that ought to be subject to the Spirit of God, and not the other way around.

Even Jesus Himself, the only begotten Son of God was said to have been led of the Spirit into the wilderness while He was human on Earth and not the otherwise. Matthew 4:1.

So if the church of this day is seeking a spirit that which they can control or fully understand, then it's not the Spirit of God they seek but another, because the Spirit of God cannot be led of any man. It's man that ought to be led of the Spirit of God, and He doesn't always wait for his prophets or apostles to understand what He's doing before He does it.

But the Holy Spirit needs those who are willing to be led by Him to be able to showcase the capacity of His power as He did with such ones in the past.

That could explain why His power is not being displayed in the church now as much as it was in those days.

So that one lesson the present day church needs to learn if it wants to be used of the Holy Spirit in the same vein.

When Nigeria joined the other West African nations to clamour for Independence, our colonists (Brtain) decuded to hand over power to the Northerners (Perhaps because they were more gullible/pliable unlike the Southerners).

As it were, Yoruba and Igbos under the aeges of Awolowo and Zik decided to partner to get power to the South. But Zik betrayed Awo because the Northerners (who were being guided in political maneuvering by the Brits) promised to give him power. That's why Nnamdi Azikwe is the First President of Nigeria, instead of Awolowo. (As explained by Ojukwu, pls fact check).

Having been betrayed by Igbos, Awolowo and the Yorubas found it difficult to trust igbos again.
Then came the coup d'etat. We all know how that went. Once again, the Igbos betrayed those they organised it together as they most assassinated the Northerners. Which led to the Civil war, a reprisal attack on the Igbos by the Northerners.
(Sentimenrs aside, no tribe won't seek revenge).

Now that you have the background, you can understand why an Igbo man is angry with Nigeria because of the consequence of the Biafran/Civil War.
You can also understand why Yorubas and Northerners find it difficult to trust the Igbos.

Now why Yorubas align with Northerners is simple. It's cos the Brits (our colonists handed over power to the Northerners.
So instead of war, we chose diplomacy.

Any one who understands the history of Nigeria before we became a Republic knows the West was the most progressive and developed among the 3 major geopolitical zones.
So if anyone does not need One Nigeria, it should be the West.
If anyone should hold grudges, it should be yorubas for how the Hausas/Fulani and Igbos betrayed Awolowo. (The best president Nigeria never had).

No doubt the presidency should by moral come to the south but Atiku claim is that the last president of PDP comes from the south, which by standard he has a point, since it is not a constitutional issue. It is just unwritten agreement and only PDP has it in their constitution that it should be rotated between south and north. And the last president in their party is from the south but morally speaking since the present president is from the north, he should have just looked at it at that angle and let go.
Meanwhile, let us now go to the south that the agitation favours. If by equity, equality, sincerity and oneness as to strengthen unity, the slot should have gone to south east for equity and justice with fairness because south west had had uninterrupted 8 years as president and over 7 years now as vice president. The south South had had 6 years president and over 2 years as vice president. The only zone remaining is the south east. So fairness demand that some one like Tinubu should have canvassed for a candidate fro the region during presidential primary because it is said that he that comes to equity should come with clean hand. Tinubu doesn't come to equity with clean hand but soiled hand.
