But how do you distinguish the true word of God? When Redeemed Church is preaching a different doctrine from Catholic Church. And Celestoal Church is preaching a different doctrine from Christ Embassy
Donraqh: This thread does not intend to portray the church in a bad light, however, to point out obvious characters that made up its congregation.
1) The overzealous members
These members appear dedicated to their faith that sometimes you begin to wonder if they're flesh and blood.
If you are looking for a true definition of I'm holier than thou, look no further, they represent everything in-between.
This group of Christians sees anyone who does not operate on the same frequency as them as inferior or better still sinners disguised as Christians.
The worst thing about most of them is, a little encounter with them portrays them to be the exact opposite of what you think they are, transact business with them you'll appreciate better how greed and covetousness are their lots
These members believed they own the church, and they most times control the church leadership.
2) The ordinary members
These members are my favorite type, their own is to attend church services and go home straight, and they don't have time for church politics whatsoever.
The more you try to involve and lure them closer the farther they stay away, they go to church because they're convinced to do so not because of persuasion from anyone.
You'll feel comfortable associating with them more than any other type of member, to them humanity is first before religion.
3) The phone pressers
If you've not noticed these types of members in recent times, you probably are not a regular in the church.
The moment they get sited, they make their phones a companion that no message or order of service matters.
Peep through, you'll be amazed they're on social media, chatting on WhatsApp, etc.
They'll use the entrance and exit more than the ushers, why are they walking up and down? They're talking calls.
4) The fashion members
These group of members hardly come to church, they visit on rare occasions especially when they have new or modern cloth to show off.
They'll be the last to walk into the church when every member is sited and can take cognizance of their attire.
They are filled with innate pride and can give you that gory look if you overstep your boundary into their space by error.
Nothing matters to them more than their clothes and respect.
5) The sleeping members
Everybody may have been a victim of sudden sleep in the church, however, some members are sole custodians of sleeping in the church as always that you'll think they have sleeping sicknesses.
They'll bathe in their house, and put on their best attire just to fall asleep the moment their butts hit the church sit.
Ushers don't tap them anymore, as they easily pick offense for no reason, it's well.
6) The chaikers/receivers
I purposely saved this group of members for the last spot.
Either you refute it or accept it, they are in your church.
The only reason they come to church is to toss babes and most babes are there to give and receive signals too.
Messages about holiness and against fornication are not for them, they are always busy looking for their like and they'll surely get it.
Haven't you heard instances where people were caught having sex in the church toilet or nearby hideouts during night vigils, most parents don't even know what their children are up to. Now you know.

Last week i saw the testimony of Dunsin Oyekan after he survived a ghastly motor accident, and I wasn't surprised...
I know very well from personal experience that there were those few that God would go the extra mile to protect where need be, so that same dangerous situations that would have harmed or taken the life of most would be turned into a testimony to them, because it wouldn't be able to harm them or take their lives.
That I believe was what happened to Dunsin who has shown himself to be of a different spiritual class... because it's glaring that it was indeed God that intervened and saved His life, otherwise it would easily have been an entirely different story.
That's why i keep telling people to stop playing church but take the things of God seriously, so that in crucial moments like that when they really needed God's help, God would even to go out of His way to save them because they were also there for Him when He needed someone.
Not after they've lived their lives for the themselves and for the devil, then all of a sudden, when they needed His help, for instance, when they're about to embark on a long distance journey, then they would suddenly remember God is there, and start cabashing, casting, binding, tonging and saying all manner of things in the name of prayer.
They're bound to be on on their own if they found themselves in a dangerous situation, because it's only men that they can deceive, not God!
Hence they shouldn't wait until when their lives were endangered and they needed God's help before they took Him seriously, but beforehand, so that God would also take their own matters seriously as He did in the instance of Dunsin, because they are not just lipservers whose hearts were not with Him, but true worshippers who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. John 4:23

I can’t help but wonder why certain scriptures are ignored.
Let us set the ball rolling with a few critical signs believers should watch out for, and also address certain fallacies.
Matthew 24 shows two key signs believers should watch out for. Until these are fulfilled, we and the generations after are still in for a long wait.
First of all, let’s highlight where the confusion lies. Most people mistake the signs for the beginning of birth pains (wars, famines, earthquakes, disasters) as signs for the end time. Read the passage below carefully;
Moving on from these verses which clearly are not the signs to look out for. What then are these signs?
It’s clearly written in verse 14 and 15 the two trigger events that must be fulfilled before the second coming;
1. In verse 14. Not just any gospel, but specifically THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM must be preached to all inhabitants of the earth. This is to prepare the hearts and mind of men for the everlasting order to come. Ever wondered why Jesus’ major sermons and parables is centred around the kingdom of heaven? Can we confidently say this is the gospel the church has preached consistently over the ages?
2. The abomination that causes desolation must be set up in the holy place. Now this one is the interesting part. People have weighed in that this prophecy is already fulfilled in 70 AD when the Romans destroyed the second Jewish temple.
The problem with that conclusion is this. See
There is no historical record of any Roman emperor who made a covenant with many for 7 years and broke it mid-way (especially around 70 AD when the temple was destroyed)
Furthermore, Apostle Paul weighed in on this matter;
Bear in mind there will be a temple of God where this man of lawlessness will proclaim himself to be God. Please where is this temple today? It doesn’t exist. It’s yet to be constructed!
Apostle Paul mentioned we should not be alarmed or unsettled. No one should deceive anyone about the coming of the Lord. It cannot happen until the lawless one is revealed and the temple (which is yet to be constructed) is desecrated and the abomination that causes desolation is set up inside the temple.
If you are up to date on religious matters in Israel, it should come as no surprise there are talks of the third Jewish temple to be constructed.
The main Jewish group leading the charge to rebuild the temple is an organization called Faithful of the Temple Mount, who say they will continue their efforts to re-establish the Jewish temple on the Mount. In Israel, there are students being trained for the priesthood, learning how to conduct animal sacrifices in the rebuilt temple.
IN CONCLUSION; Until these two events are fulfilled: 1. The gospel of the kingdom is preached to all inhabitants of the earth.
2. The temple is rebuilt, daily sacrifices are restored for a time and subsequently stopped by the man of lawlessness to set up the abomination that causes desolation which prophet Daniel, Jesus and Apostle Paul spoke of.
We cannot jump to the phase where we hold our breathe in anticipation of the return of the Son of Man. Pretty much explains the long wait for over 2000 years now, and why any talks of the world coming to an end is still premature.
Till then, live a spirit filled life and walk in the purpose of the I AM for your life!

I've always struggled with this second coming of Jesus. Simply because we only believe it cos its written in yjd Bible. A major prophecy like this should be hidden from other religiilons or tribes.
