This was Exactly scenario that caused war in 1967. Unguarded killing of other ethnicities. IPOB just fired the shots. Nnamdi Kanu will comfortably lead Igbos to massive death and perpetual destruction.

IPOB Sit-at-home: Condemnations trail Nnamdi Kanu’s threat to South-east residents Mr Kanu threatened death to anyone who fails to observe the sit-at-home order. Condemnations have trailed the threat issued to people of South-east by the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on the sit-at-home order. Mr Kanu had in a broadcast declared that the sit-at-home will commence 6p.m. on Saturday till 6p.m. on Monday. He said the order is compulsory and must be obeyed by all the people in the region. He warned that anyone seen outside will be killed. “From 6p.m. on the 29th, there will be no movement, this is not sit-at-home but no movement. If you are found outside from 6p.m. you are dead,” he said. Those who reacted on Saturday condemned the threat by Mr Kanu, stating that it was wrong to threaten the lives of the same people he claims to be fighting for their freedom. Others noted that the exercise is voluntary and warned Mr Kanu to stop using coercion to get the people to comply. One of them, Augustine Igboji said that by threatening the lives of the people, IPOB is confirming the terrorist tag given to it by the federal government. He said, “Nnamdi Kanu started as a freedom fighter. His agitation was termed peaceful agitation for actualisation of Biafra. He is often lamenting that the federal government is denying Ndígbo their fundamental human rights. He claimed the ESN was formed to protect the people. “But today he is threatening death to anybody who flouts the sit-at-home order telling them that it is longer voluntary but compulsory. Telling people not to move around is a denial of their fundamental human rights. The trauma and burden of hostile policing, By Cheta Nwanze “Threatening them with death or attacks if they flout the order is close to terrorism. And if anybody is attacked on that day, well, let’s pray nothing like that happens. “But let me just say that Kanu and IPOB are fast descending into an anarchist organisation. Something close to a terrorist group which the federal government branded them some years back.” Mr Igboji said the IPOB leader risks losing the support of the people if he did not retrace his steps. “You cannot lead people with fear. That is not leadership but slavery,” he said. “At some point, the people will revolt against you too. Is this how he will lead Biafra if he gets it? By brute force? This is how despots start. I will rather remain in Nigeria than follow such a leader,” he added. Another person, Emmanuel Nnaemeka, believes that Mr Kanu and IPOB are slowly turning into a monster which may consume the region. “We are creating a monster that may consume us soon. I listened to Nnamdi Kanu’s threat online and I was shocked. I started wondering what the leadership of Biafra would look like. “He threatened that his boys would kill anyone that dared to step out of the house that day. Is that how they will rule Biafra? To use gunmen to threaten people into doing everything they say? “Nigeria may be more peaceful than Biafra with the way these people are going about this thing. Many of us might not see it now but when the time comes, we will all live in fear. God forbid that Biafra will come through people who have the blood of their brothers in their hands. How can we be acting like people without sense?” he said. A lawyer, Steve Nworie, said Mr Kanu and IPOB failed to take note of the fact that some persons will be on essential duty and need to move around especially journalists and health workers. He said, “There is a palpable fear across the South-east because of the numerous messages of death by the leader of IPOB against anyone who dares to come out on Monday 31st May, 2021. “While I will personally obey this stay-at-home order because I am convinced that it is the right thing to do, I am particularly concerned by the blanket coercion deployed by Nnamdi Kanu and his team. “Certainly, there are so many Igbo sons and daughters who out of no choice of theirs may be forced to be on the road on Monday, how do we justify their deaths when the ‘supreme leader’ has said that not even a rat will be spared alive if it is seen on the road across the South-east? “How about essential workers whose lines of duty are so essential for the well-being of Ndi Igbo? Do they deserve to die in their line of duties? How about those who are forced out on the road due to unexpected emergencies that are totally beyond them? Do they deserve the death penalty by the Biafra militias?” Mr Nworie warned Mr Kanu to desist from such threats. “History is the greatest teacher of mankind and history abounds of leaders who extracted followership by coercion. They never end well. For us to achieve the Biafran project, we must be ready to respect the right to life and property. “Killing of our own people will never restore Biafra. Sit-at-home is a welcome idea but forcing people to obey the same is unacceptable,” he said. IPOB has been agitating for an independent state of Biafra to be carved out of Nigeria’s South-east and parts of South-south. Security officials have been the targets of deadly attacks in Nigeria’s South-east and South-south regions for several weeks. The facilities belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission in the two geopolitical zones have also been set ablaze in similar attacks. IPOB has denied accusations that it was responsible for the deadly attacks in the two regions. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/464554-ipob-sit-at-home-condemnations-trail-nnamdi-kanus-threat-to-south-east-residents.html?fbclid=IwAR1sXGnkXhhvZQ2tXr_PrT28bzjRwgOv08O-XQhrvATYrRAKxksN3AzkQcM |

End This 15 Yrs of Darkness in Ondo South, Group Appeals to Akeredolu. A group, Congress for Rights of Ondo Southern Nationalities (CROSN), has appealed to the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, to rescue the southern-most part of the state from utter darkness it had been plunged into 15 years ago. The group made the appeal at the end of its meeting in Akure. In a communique signed by its National President, Abiodun Fanoro and Secretary, Tunde Aiyenumelo, the group also commended Akeredolu for appointing a woman and an indigene of Ondo South, Mrs. Oladunni Odu, as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). It urged the governor to deeply reflect on the socio-economic implication of utter darkness in Okitipupa, Ilaje, Irele and Ese-Odo local councils for over 15 years, lamenting that keeping over one million people in darkness for this long certainly negates the lofty and good rural and urban development programme of government to discourage migration to the cities. The group implored Akeredolu to break the jinx and record of restoring electricity to the three major ethnic-nations in the state made up of the Ikale, Ilaje and the Ijaw in four vast local councils. CROSN said that the appointment of a woman as the SSG clearly showed that Akeredolu was a promoter of gender equality, urging him to further reflect this as he continued with the task of constituting the cabinet. https://m.guardian.ng/news/group-laments-15-years-darkness-in-ondo-south-appeals-to-akeredolu/ Lalasticlala |
The Ijaw Youths Council, IYC, Worldwide has condemned the bloody conflict that has claimed four lives in Bilabiri in Ekeremor Local Government Area. It was gathered that a proposed security contract triggered disagreements that led to the communal war. IYC in a statement signed by its President, Peter Igbifa, appealed to the warring parties to sheathe their swords saying it was irresponsible for brothers to pick arms against themselves. Igbifa said instead of bloodshed the brothers should sit down in a roundtable to discuss the issues and resolve grey areas of their differences insisting that dialogue remained the best tool in dispute resolution. The IYC boss called on the police and other security agencies to immediately move into the warring community and restore order to stop the further breakdown of law and order. He said the council was willing to work with stakeholders of Bilabiri and security agencies to restore the peace in the area. Igbifa further urged the state Governor, Senator Douye Diri, to raise a peace panel that would work with all the parties in the dispute to identify the causes of the crisis and permanently resolve them. He said: “It is irresponsible and unbelievable that our brothers will shed their blood because of a job that is coming to their area. As a council, we condemn the bloody conflict in Bilabiri and we are asking those involved in this dastardly act to stop further bloodshed. “The Council is calling on security agencies especially the police to move into the community and restore the peace to avert further breakdown of law and order. We are also appealing to our Governor, Senator Douye Diri to raise a peace panel that will identify the remote and immediate causes of the conflict and permanently resolve them. “The IYC is ready to work with security agencies and all the parties involved in the conflict to ensure it doesn’t happen again.” Lalasticlala https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/04/iyc-condemns-communal-conflict-that-claims-four-lives-in-bayelsa-community/?fbclid=IwAR3Ax2iea01gdGjQN9mzbVihl94n9D4By2vFRD3BYLfRsT6mheYqdHIDgdU |
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has vowed not to allow Fulani take over Ebonyi State. Naija News reports that the IPOB leader was reacting to the killing of some Ebonyi residents by suspected Fulani herdsmen. Reacting specifically to a report that qouted Governor David Umahi as lamenting the betrayal of Fulani, Nnamdi Kanu said the Eastern Security Network (ESN) won’t allow the state go the same way as Kwara. The IPOB leader claimed that the Yoruba are the true owners of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, before it was taken over by the Fulani caliphate. He wrote: “Afonja said the same thing after he unwittingly & foolishly surrendered Yoruba Illorin Kwara State to his Fulani friends. “Today, Yoruba the true owners of Illorin are effectively Fulani caliphate slaves. “ESN won’t allow Ebonyi go same way. Speaking on Tuesday at Obegu, in the Ishielu Local Government Area of the state, Umahi said the herdsmen allegedly perpetrated the mayhem carrying AK-47. The Ebonyi governor urged security agents to fish out the herdsmen behind the killings. Governor Umahi also revealed that he knows the sponsors of the herdsmen, vowing to expose them to the authorities. He said, “I got a piece of very shocking news this afternoon about the attack on about four communities of Nkalaha, Obegu, Amaezu and Umuhuali in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state by AK-47 herdsmen that came yesterday (Monday) and killed 15 of members of these communities.” https://www./2021/04/01/biafra-soldiers-wont-allow-fulani-take-over-ebonyi-like-kwara-nnamdi-kanu/

Obdk:That guy is a big fool for insinuating such. |
By Fola Ojo The demands for secession from mother Nigeria by aggrieved ethnic groups, and the rallying calls for the balkanisation of the Giant of Africa are no new drumbeats. The beastly belch has peregrinated the Nigerian atmosphere for eons. One of such demands for self-determination eventually led to a bitter civil war that engulfed Nigeria for 30 months. Since the no-victor-no-vanquished declaration that climaxed the unfortunate war, Nigeria has walked on thin ice and trodden dangerously in the pursuit of peaceful co-existence that has been a mirage. Splitting up Nigeria with each ethnic group finding its way to its own tent remains the same singsong even in this 21st century. Before now, it was the South- East that wanted out of the flummox. Now, it is the South-West clamouring for a way of escape out of the contraption. Why the shrill cry for secession? Are the people making the demands crazy? No, they are not. The playing field in the Nigeria game is not even. Vital organs of the economy are controlled by an ethnic group. Leadership in the military, the police, the immigration, the customs, the ports, the oil sector, all dominated and highhandedly administered by a recycled clan. And they think it is fair and equitable because they wildly and weirdly believe that God has put them in charge of Nigeria for Nigerians’ sake. What hogwash! As marches for an independent Oduduwa Republic continue to hit the ground hard, a few people will erroneously quickly tell you that the Yoruba have no reason to complain because the present administration has done better with the ethnic group in ministerial appointments than the previous one. The facts portend different imagery. Ministers from the South minister only in titles; not in power. All of the South-West ministers occupy vast offices with many departments under them that they cannot command. They walk around carrying out their duties as if they are navigating a field wired with killer-landmines and brutish booby-traps. The guys who run the show are powerful directors who load up the workforce with their own kind. And big chunks of these directors are from the North. It is obvious that the South-West house is divided regarding secession from Nigeria. But what unites the Yoruba is the acknowledgment that “One Nigeria” is a bellow from the pit of hell; a jocose jabbering by a few who control and dominate almost everything today in Nigeria. For those of us who were born shortly before or after Nigeria’s Independence, our perspective of a coexisting Nigeria is different. We want a peaceful resolution of the anomalies that make some Nigerians feel like second-class citizens in their own country. But for those who were born in the 70s through the 90s, they want to secede from Nigeria through war. Their experiences of Nigeria are gruesome. They are in pain. Their rights have been taken by characters who occupy lofty positions not because they are qualified, but because they are connected to people in power who speak their languages. Eighty per cent of the Southern youths are unemployed in spite of their educational attainments. They roam the streets with no hope for tomorrow. And today; with Nigeria’s economy tanking terribly, there is dryness in the land. To these folks and many, the idea of “One Nigeria” is self-serving. It serves only an ethnic group and few grumpy, grabby, and gluttonous individuals whose life ambitions are to cling to power. It’s time we all woke up to the reality of the gross divisiveness among Nigerian ethnic groups and make Nigeria serve everybody, and leave none behind. Otherwise, it ain’t going to be pretty. When you push a people against the wall, the wall breaks. We must hear out those who are crying for secession. “Ajakuta’ is a word in Yoruba land which means “let’s duke it out and scatter everything. Go your way and I’ll never in life talk to you again”. This is not the Yoruba way of life. It’s easy for an average Yoruba man to make a best friend out of an old enemy, and you’ll never know they were once at each other’s throats. The Yoruba’s spirit of friendliness and accommodation is unequalled. God created them with big and loving hearts. In spite of the extant rampaging rumpus, the Yoruba still have hopes that the lopsidedness in the corridors of power will be flipped and the nation will not flop up in an environment of preventable ethnic Armageddon. However, this must be clearly understood by all. That many of us prefer a path to peace through commonsense negotiation is not a lovey-dovey embrace of foul factors that are causing the drumbeats of war to hit hard and fast in Nigeria. Most Yoruba, as most Nigerians, want a United Nigeria. But they want fairness in power distribution. They demand it by right if “One Nigeria” is not just mere rhetoric. There are many evil forces contending with Nigeria’s destiny. But Godly forces are at war with them too. They aren’t giving up on the country. I pray we have more people sign up with Godly forces so that we can together address our wrinkles and smoothen out the wrinkles. Nigeria will be best served if our leaders confront the truth. But to flat-out ignore the grievances and think it’s just in the imagination of the people crying foul is tacit approval of the protraction of the melee. I wish we had a president who is not pachydermatous to sensitive discourse like this. But that’s who we have as captain. And he is who he is. Personally, I have given up on the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), resolving sensitive ethnic wrangling. It’s not in his DNA to do that. Nigerians love Nigeria. Many oppose a balkanised nation. But the relationship between ethnic groups must be fair and equitable. One ethnic group can’t continue to dominate and control a country’s vital Organs and expect the rest of the nation to just fold up, put up, shut up, and shout Hallelujah and Allah Akbar. What else does Nigeria need that God has not given us? We have it all in human and natural resources. Nigeria’s problems aren’t unsolvable. She can be easily remoulded into a nation beneficial to everybody. But there must be a level-playing field for all players in the Nigeria game. These are the wrinkles we face in Nigeria. They are why many are crying secession. To my brothers wanting to travel the path of war, we hear you; and you need to hear us too without considering us wimps or antagonists of your demand for an equitable and fair Nigeria. Consequences of war aren’t inconsequential. They are fatal. At the end of a possibly endless war, we will all be vanquished; there will be no victor. Let’s beat down on the drumbeats of war. In conclusion, I throw out this challenge to all political office holders and those aspiring to run for something in the next election cycle from the South-West. If you decide to stay quiet in these times pretending that the agitations for self-determination will fizzle off, I’ll invoke the counsel of Michelle Obama in your hearing ears: “If you are afraid to use your voice, give up your seat at the table”. https://punchng.com/what-do-the-yoruba-want/?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR0aIO1MXLVGWmaHi8CSa8zzGhU3wvWL_WzTzAbNuGsPena-wHR3qbIka0c#Echobox=1616721905 |

SW is the Most Pampered and Placated section in Buhari administration South-West: Calls for secession out of frustration, says Fayemi The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has said that those calling for secession are doing so out of frustration. He said this amid calls by some quarters for the breakaway of the South-West region from Nigeria and the establishment of Yoruba nation. Speaking on Arise Television on Tuesday, Fayemi said such agitation is expected when there are stress and laxity in society. The Governor said, “Frankly, when you have stress and laxity in society, you’re bound to find a whole range of responses. Some rational, some irrational, some that speak to the fears of the people, some opportunistic and harebrained. There’s no question that some of the reactions we’ve seen will fall into all of those categories.” He expressed optimism that the country will triumph and survive the challenges it is currently faced with. He said the time has come for the devolution of power and that the country needs I have gone on record to say that I have unfailing optimism that in spite of all our challenges, this country will triumph and we’ll survive current challenges. We as leaders must focus on the goal of protecting lives and property, and focus on safety and security as the primary responsibility that we have,” Fayemi said. “The people who are talking about secession frankly, some of them are doing it out of frustration. I don’t think that’s the solution to the Nigerian predicament right now. “In matters of economic development, we may need to begin to look at other ways of managing diversity and difference in our country and that devolution of power is an idea whose time has come.” https://punchng.com/south-west-calls-for-secession-out-of-frustration-says-fayemi/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR1tR-JaN6HFR1PQAPzAQLxIqUehkylQ7BIEgpdtZBaI9mYkDKzQu1LgDfI#Echobox=1616504161

Twitter influencer narrates how her Igbo boyfriend's mother crashed their plan of getting married. A Twitter influencer took to the platform to narrate how the mother of her Igbo boyfriend of 2 years, crashed their plan of getting married. According to @dearolaa, her prospective mother-in-law's attitude changed when she realized she is a Yoruba girl and she reportedly told her to her face that she can't marry her son because she doesn't like Yoruba people. @dearolaa further revealed that her boyfriend's mother recently called her parents and warned that she should stay off her son. She also shared anguish of not knowing where she stands as her boyfriend has been in the village for a week. She tweeted; My name is Adeolar and I've been in a very serious relationship with an Igbo guy. He's nice, handsome and we've been dating for 2 years. He talked about me meeting his family and I was very excited little did I know that it would turn out to be my worse nightmare. I met his mum and she seemed really nice, but her attitude changed when she realized I'm a Yoruba girl. She immediately told me to my face that I can't marry her son. Her reasons weren't clearly stated but she said she doesn't like the Yoruba people. My heart melted, hot tears rolled down from my eyes; I'm Yoruba and I'm in love with an Igbo "mummy's boy". I spoke with him about it and he keeps assuring me that it would be fine. It's been almost 2 years now and the family are still not in support of our union. Every time I try to move on he comes begging that everything would be fine and that we will get married. I really love this guy, why I love him I don't know because clearly he hasn't done anything to deserve my heart but... He doesn't have a good paying job yet, so I carter for most of his financial needs and even send some food to his village during festivity. Just recently his mother called my parents to tell them that I can't get married to her son and asked that I should be warned to stay off her son. He has travelled to his village for a week now and honestly I don't know where I stand... I really love him but what do I do? Good morning lovers. This is my story.

Anambra people do not Allow Nnamdi Kanu Ruin your State and Peace John Ifechi wrote: Finally, our South East is gone. It was once the most peaceful region; those days are gone. "Unkwown gun men" in action in Anambra. They kill police men, set the van on fire, kill a Pathfinder driver that ran into them. This week alone, 4 naval personnel killed, police men killed, prison staff killed..... in Anambra alone. Anambra is gone! And I was in Aba. And I noticed that many police stations in Aba blocked access roads to their station with sandbags. Reason? The increasing attacks on police stations and officers in the South-east, and Aba in particular. And in a bus I entered, passengers were gloating, and insisting that no amount of barricade would save the police. They all seemed happy with the killing of police men and burning of police stations. And these are ordinary citizens.... men and women. I looked at their faces, and I felt sorry for them. If only they knew what is coming.... This is Nnamdi kanu's plan The situation in Anambra, if it continues can result ONLY in 2 things: 1. Police would be scared silly, and be more concerned about protecting their own lives first... the lives of the residents would matter less. Criminals would become lords and unleash mayhem in the city. 2. Government would step in by drafting the military, or special police tactical units. In both scenarios, the innocent residents of Anambra will bear the brunt.... these same people rejoicing over the attacks on police men will bear the brunt. If they are not terrorised by armed robbers, cultists and kidnappers, they would suffer mass arrests and undergo tortures in the hands of brutal security forces. When things that should make people fear, make them happy instead, you can't help but wonder whether they truly understand. Nnamdi Kanu is working so hard to destabilize the peace in Anambra state. |
