my ear is itching grin tongue
no mind me, he may not take it serious,as we are taking it here.

@Chy
lt depends on your kind of office, l don't think u should worry over that, lf you are already up to one year in your office.

in my coy, it is:

3 months  maternity leave, which runs concurrently with your annual leave, meaning no annual leave for you in that year.

After the 3 months, you will either resume 1 hr late or close 1 hr early. so either u resume by 9am instead of 8am or close by 4pm instead of 5pm for another 3months.

none of the secretaries in my office has been on maternity leave, but when am on my annual leave, the Admin secretary combines my work with her and vice versa.

l don't have a baby yet.  But as a worker, its always better to get a  matured house-help (they are necessary evil, whether we believe it or not, a career mom needs them) who will take  care of your baby while u are at work.

l have a friend, who takes her baby to a day-care close to her office, and picks up the baby when she closes from work.  l don't seem to like this arrangement, its a stress on the baby.  shes wakes up by 4am everyday to bath the baby and dress up for work, gets home late to wash the baby's clothes and prepare for  next day.  She said her baby sleeps by 11pm to 12am, which is a lot of stress to the baby even herself.

l think its better to hv a househelp who will take care of the baby, instead of all the stress.  Just my opinion, l may be wrong, since l don't have a baby yet!
CareerRe: Secretaries (Or Personal Assistants) On Nairaland by MyPeace(op): 8:54am On May 09, 2008
l dont know how ur boss would react either, but if l were you, l won't sign the letter neither would l give the reference letter. Personal relationship is quite different from official relationship. Your boss may not be against your action, but giving a reference is like staking your integrity, so it would have been well done by your boss or advised by him.

My action would have been:

1. To collect the doc from them, and keep it till my boss comes back.
2. lf its urgent, l would contact my boss on phone and seek his advice.
3. lf he could not be reached on phone, l will pass the doc to the next snr Manager.

@nasirtofa
thx for that clarification.

tytylayor:
fellow secretaries and PAs, just seeing thid forum, can't go through all d pages so i only went through d first page, found it very interesting, thanx to mypeace et al.

please kindly differentiate between a PA and secretary, cozz in my office i'm being refered to as PA and sec. so i'll like to kno d difference. thankx
u are welcome to the forum.

Most PAs are refered to as PA/Sec, so dont be surprised if you are called the Sec. But the point is that you have a higher responsibility than mere Admin Sec or other departmental Sec. More is entrusted to your hand. One member did justice to the role of a PA if you can read 4-5 pages back.

l want to tell us that there are some PAs who are like Aide, nothing secretarial attached to their duty.

ln summary, any administrative PA can be refered to as a Sec.

FatherOF2:
That was a good move Abu on Presco. I'll find my way today. N15.65 to N21.68 no be small profit. I won't wait for any result.Its probably factored into this price already. I'll CICO Zenith and UBA on friday. There was some added interest in Late trading for UBA yesterday.
Zenith is a very clever bank.Very conscious of its image, including its price image. I saw them do this very well before the bonus of last year.They'll list now and ensure all certificates are out this May. Allow all the damage to be done in June and announce the FYE by last week of July when the price should probably be at the low ebb which they'll still manage. It will never be allowed to fall below the N45 price axis. They'll like that price to hover around N60 by year end.
FO2, why do you bold that CICO area? l thought you used to buy before you talk, abi u mean say u wan sell your CICO on Friday? hahaha, one love tongue

Abeg oo, l have not received my JAPAUL certificate, has everyone received theirs? the annoying thing is that my friend that used my address has received hers.

Aktopgun, am not stepping on your toe here!!! Am new to investment world though but I think this candle chart does not belong to the forum as it can cuase panic selling
among new investors who believe the candle is 100% reliable. Thank God you know it has been around for ages that means one should not take it as ULTIMATE future teller.
What it does best is to manipulate investors by dictating the stock performance, and depress the stock market as well. Why is it that some forum members both here and the other side do not want you to shine candle on particular stock they are holding? Ever thought of it? I guess all that followed the candle chart got their finger burned as well as as myself. The truth be sey, you be one of the most intelligent gurus here and there. So i for like make you dey send the candle to those who want am as PM, and make you continue to help and advice the new comer base on experience and fundamental analyse like you dey do before before.

Just my opinion sha.
Ranting of bear wounded soul!! So the bear brought you out of silent mode?

do u prefer to follow the crowd when u actually know that what is wrong is not right.
whats wrong about him marrying who he loves?
and whats right about her trying to force her self to marry a guy simple because she made a mistake of having a baby for him out of wedlock? (as u advice)
RomanceRe: Should I Marry Her by MyPeace(f): 1:40pm On Apr 29, 2008
@tempa

nothing is so crucial about this issue, u are making it so.

you don't "try" to marry someone becuase u got a baby for him.  abeg grow up.  Havent u seen people that lost their parents while still young and they still make it in life?  so no pity the son, as long as the mum gives him the best and tells him the truth, nothing spoil!!

gettolove, ACa
Stop making excuse, you had the same 24 hours a day they have, no matter how busy or occupied u are, you will pass all if you had read well even with 1 hour a day.  as u said they still failed even with all the time at their disposal.  so its not a function of time, but how prepared u are.  You had a reference simple tongue

Wish u success as u repeat it. tongue

@deor03

Your wife, by the story you give about her periods, is likely anovulatory. This means that she doesn't produce and egg monthly. This is easily corrected depending on her age. However, even if this is corrected and you are not around, conception is impossible. I would advise you to prioritize. The yeast infection has no bearing on fertility. If this is the first time, she is one of billions of women. Good luck
Treasure J:
Doc, please how can this be corrected? thanks very much for the job you are doing, God is surely your rewarder.
