seankim:You asked a question and I replied. I won’t keep silent bro. I have the whole world watching the outcome of this. |
seankim:Smiles. Not praying for you either. whatever is left on the project is not for you to worry about if I’m doing my job. The termination came while we were working on the project and not in a state of abandon. The client acknowledged here at a point that his supervisor (who evidence show I’m paying) was the one working and I asked if he’s working with my clients fund or mine? The termination met lots of materials on site that were newly purchased. I can provide receipt of purchase for you to verify dates. Lastly do you think we didn’t do the roof because we don’t have the fund? I’m sure the client can’t say that because all evidence prove otherwise. |
seankim:Thank you for mentioning this. Please ask @money121 if I send fund for the transport of His installer that came to site or not. Where do you expect such fund to come out from? Let me stop here for now. Am I supposed to say God will bless you? |
seankim:NO! With valid proofs and evidence. I bought all the materials required for my project in advance. I produced all the blocks in advance. Chekitaut supplied all the granite for the project before the conclusion of the first floor slab. I still have a fraction of the agreed contract sum with the client. I paid for the replacement of broken glass already at no extra cost to the client. I’ve already invited and concluded with roof installers on the roof job but couldn’t act because we were waiting for other dependencies (that are not part of the contract) on the project. So how did you arrive at your conclusion? |
Thenext:I was paid and I bought what I needed to do my job and the client is requesting refund for things we’ve already paid and delivered to site. How’s that criminal intent? Did you find any of these claims false? Even if it’s ordinary N100, were those items delivered or not? Am I supposed to pay any amount tossed at me because someone said so? Imagine I didn’t review the concocted figures the four times I did. You expected me to pay those amount because it was alleged. |
n3xt:Neither will I tell my supplier who supplied block, cement, sand and granite (worth over 300k) that my client ended up selling to himself at discount, to refund me for the materials she has supplied to site already. She was paid for the supplies. If you need receipt of transaction, I’ll send it to you. |
seankim:I said “soon” I don’t have the money now. I can’t pack glass wey break on site and convert to cash na. I’ll have to look for the money from other source. |
somehow:Thanks for the information. |
seankim:No process is slow when there’s convincing evidence of fraud. Simple! I gave him money to build a house for me in Oshogbo, we found a house he built in Ijebu. But it won’t sell when you have coc*k and bull stories to prove. House no be bread na! It takes months to develop so to establish fraud is pretty easy when you have a valid proof. |
somehow:Anyway the evidences are all out there and I never compelled anyone to act. I build in the open for public scrutiny. I respond here. My details are all over places because I am super clean and have nothing to worry about. Baba, let me go do some work this morning. |
Kingdemu:Good morning bro! I never said forfeit. I said I’ll pay him what is due to him soon and I’m not making a commitment I can’t keep. Where’s the begging here? Do you mean someone who persistently harassed me, threatened me, my business and my family in the open forum is begging me sir? And over funds that there are numberable proofs and evidence that they weren’t diverted. I smile though. Have a great week nairaland forumites! |
seankim:I know you wont understand it bro. It’s called packaging in your world but the smart ones have already dubbed it down Build ke? Sebi Aunty talk say I be photographer on my sites. |
DUNKA:Baba, you can’t take it away from someone who have established process/systems for all his activities on site. When I hit sites, I see stuffs. ![]()
|
Iriruaga100:Bros e wetin I do na? If I offend una for area, abeg una no vex. Help me appeal to the class captain. I no wan collect o. |
twinskenny:This is exactly the big difference between most of you and I. We fix shite without making the client go through stress or making noise about it. Even the borehole issue, we wade in to make peace not because you deserved it but because humanity run in us. But who’s the person who installs electric fence wire at just 1.5m above natural ground level in a residential building? Its either case of Incompetence or recklessness. For me, having electric fence wire at chest level is big thing and very worrisome. A lot of newbies are really suffering. ________ Don’t bother asking about the site. We fixed the shite and move on already. I was only smiling when I read your chat and heard your voice note to the client when your attention was called to it and the way you politely responded to my call when I called you myself. Of course most of you don’t know my role on many projects that I’m not even directly involved. Hypocrisy on a high level. I was just hearing “Baba, baba... ![]() __________ I might help you with before and after pictures and videos of the issue and the fix. Feel free to share mine too. __________ Your brother said if the depth requires 20m, he will bury until he hit the bedrock. A mumu will definitely buy because praise singers said so. Do you guys even bother to check on the projects you’re engaged to work on at all and give professional advice to your clients or you’re only bothered about how much you can make? Why aren’t you bold to ask the client to call Brabus to come and fix his shit just like I did in your own project? You sure know I’ll burst bubbles. |
What’s your point exactly? Can you pls drive your point home fast in itemized list? @seamkim |
seankim:Seun, go through the last 20 posts of everyone (including myself) reporting and make a decision like every sensible leaders out there. I’m not the weakling in here who attack other people at slightest provocation. I’m a complete gentleman who takes no nonsense from local wolves. Nairaland is not a cult organization. No one should use the platform to bully other people. |
DUNKA:I’m not ready to do line by line on this but trust me there’s always a missing part of the story that now one is going to tell you. Is it the one we built 2 houses for in 45 days but built the 3rd unit with another contractor and they still ended up with a police case? They can’t share those stories here but we know. Or is it the one who labeled us fraud because a window maker that we paid abscond with money to Mecca which ended up fixing anyway but can’t make any noise when he had to remove and replace the roofs of his 2 houses that were built by another contractor?Or is it the one who came to label us because everyone is doing so but don’t know who to blame when he realized the doors he shipped in from abroad has been sold by his storekeeper? Or maybe the one who never bought a plan but was quick to tag Brabus as his main contractor on a project that he diy’d? I sleep well because I know I satisfied my conscience in all my contracts. I don’t cheat people hence I’m not afraid of anyone. ________ My recent projects went well because we’re not building here. You don’t know who to attack or who to put in frenzy mode. Or maybe those guys are just more matured and goal oriented to allow other people mislead them? Baba Dunka, hows the up north? |
DUNKA:Should I carry another man’s money to pay gbese? Didn’t you see the way we manage a similar situation elsewhere? We fixed what we can fix and I called back the subcontractors (who are all here reading my posts) involved to come and fix issues identified. In his own case, they fix and wanted to dump the bill on the contractor who’s not dead or unreachable because someone advised so. If you don’t baba, forget about it. |
somehow:...in 4 short visits! |
It’s well on this KoboKobo jungle. As if we’re not involved in far more bigger and complex projects.
|
I was actually expecting the pictures of my shoddy jobs o. |
somehow:You said this sometimes ago and I smile. Find out more about me from those who actually visit their site. I’m not only ambidextrous. I work twice as hard as every workmen on my site. ________ Those write ups are in my book of revelation. |
michlins:We build tank towers in waterlogged Lekki. Spare me your lame excuse. All of us aren’t dumb. |
somehow:Smiles. At the same time you’re doing this, I was equally on Twinskenny’s project. I found something wrong and fixed it and ask him to come back to tidy things up. That’s what true professionals do. They help clients advance forward in their project. They help them overcome issues and achieve their dreams and not compound it through endless complaints. Alaiye na me go preach this morning. |
michlins:Unfortunately for most of you, we give recommendations in silence. We moved on already. We fixed the shite. Feel free to share the shoddy job I did. I’ll help you with the details you require and how some of you took an unsuspecting client to the cleaner by selling him what he doesn’t require. I’ve shared the link to my project. https://www.kobocity.com/d/157-construction-journal-xl6-trillion-atrium-house-by-nexthome I build in the face of the public for public scrutiny. I’m bold to share. Feel free to share those things you found bad on the site. |
michlins:This is it: https://www.kobocity.com/d/157-construction-journal-xl6-trillion-atrium-house-by-nexthome I’m happy you were there to see things for yourself. May I tell you the contractor on the next building to the one you visited got everything wrong during its construction. I mean foundation, building size, material used etc that they had to go back to the foundation after getting to the first floor slab. Guess what? They didn’t rubbish the job. They fixed it at a huge cost to the owner of the project who happens to be the owner of the estate. Your snide remark seems like a smart one but guess what you’re only hurting the man who engaged you and not doing him any good. I was on a project all of you worked on. We fixed stuffs and I never bothered rubbing it on you except money121 because I know it might come at extra cost to the client and he send his guys to fix it. No noise! Do you know what it means to do a water tank that more than 1.5m section of the tank had to be buried under the ground? It’s being wasteful and not being smart. We fixed your sh*t bro and we never bothered to rub it on you! That’s some real shite. ________ You may want to share with me misaligned pillars and cement paper bags (that we used to prevent wastage) and I’ll be happy to share you the high tower you constructed that almost 25% of it had to be buried under ground. ________ Even a client who engaged an engineer who has worked on Tier 1 bank projects invited us to his project and we didn’t get there to be rubbishing their job. We rub minds like matured minds. It’s not because we want them to feel good but it’s because we understand construction. ———— You seem to have forgotten ordinary door issue here you got it wrong and you’re here to rub your mouth against someone who have to deal with more than 50 components of a building.
|
somehow:I’m actually updating my projects there but the clients are coming from here and other legitimate sources. Am I supposed to install firewall or gatekeeper to prevent them from coming? ______ PR and Branding? In the last 48 hours, the visit and engagement on the site kobocity.com has increased by 104%. The highest we ever had in the last 4 months. Since we got into all this whole brouhaha, we’ve completed 3 projects that belong to people here. A lot of those attacking me knew this but just can’t say anything: https://www.kobocity.com/d/135-projects-by-nexthome-designbuild/95 ________ So for me, it’s actually mixed blessings and I’m happy your aim too is also being achieved while we work on the refund. |
sonnie10:Even me too, I don’t believe I don’t have it either. I suspect you are skeptical about whether the issue would be resolved. But read between the lines in Somehow”s comments, the answer is there.I’m confident the issue will be resolved. I’ll try to explore other means. Thank you for your time and resolve to make things work. Your unflinching resolve will never go unnoticed. |
somehow:this is what we call see finish. We all have different definition for the word “tangible.“ You know this sir. But make we leave talk.... Lastly, I carefully chose my words but I cannot but admit that your action here is actually working against me. Hence the reason I am struggling to pay. Me wey my Business Development manager dey earn 350k/month years back and my carpenters dey receive 200k mobile phone as an incentive for a job well done. ______ Offline Network? On the issue of networks, I have a different use for my positive connections. ______ Kobocity clients ![]() On the issue of not picking clients from kobocity.com, the aim of the project is very clear and we are sticking to it. It’s a community for self builders, diyers, contractors and tradespeople to discuss projects and exchange ideas. See the attached below. _____ Pass? I’m not looking for validation from anyone. Otherwise we won’t be here in the first place. ______ Please kindly bear with me, I’ll repay you soon.
|
Aunty mmotimo, I acknowledge your presence ma. Let me step off now for other performers. |
sonnie10:I understand you sir and I respect your resolve to make things work but unfortunately my purse is deeply strained at the moment and I cannot make a commitment I cannot keep. My ‘soon’ could be this evening or tomorrow morning or sometimes later. All I can assure everyone is he’d be paid what I owed him. ________ On the other hand, my learned counsel, can you please help me ask my client what he’s implying by the statement he made in the attached below? What other source is he expecting his refund from? If I don’t carry gun at night, or do yahoo yahoo or pre-order scam... The verifiable (and legitimate) source of my income in the last one decade has been from construction. I read to understand intent and purpose and not just to react. This is just for the file record.
