somehow:Wow! Is the person in question a bricklayer? A carpenter? Iron bender? Concrete caster? Plumber? Electrician? If he’s not any of the above, I’m too generous to even give him 20k because those jobs I listed above are the only thing I made provision for in my bill. I didn’t make provision for charities. I’m happy if you keep him. I work with productive people and not those who have big muscles but are only good at doing back talks. I don’t work with the ‘muyiwa ’ of this world. I don’t work with overgrown babies. |
DUNKA:Egbon, I cannot dignify all your post with a response. Use google or phone a friend ![]() |
somehow:I guess I’m the one attacking everyone who chose to be objective rather than subjective. |
somehow:Smiles. Baba before you end up destroying innocent people on this platform. Just reflect on this, have you seen anyone from here working with me on a project? Is it Nnamdi my roofer? Or clement my carpenter? Or Nixon my steel truss guy? Do anyone of them even know this place exist? Is it any of my suppliers? You’re only increasing the likelihood of doing business with anyone you tag here. You’re talking Horladorjah and I smile. The atrium I did last year, he did something super cool years before I brought mine here as a very young guy and you think he won’t go places Issokay o! I always use my platform to build other great people and I’m happy to engage them intellectually and support their business. When you’re done destroying your perceived enemies and those not in alignment with you, please do business with your anointed ones. We will continue to patronize everyone around us. God bless you! _________ What a lot of people are struggling to achieve is done effortlessly by this wonderful guys and you’re here rubbishing them. Whatever you do is only revealing your weaknesses and not showing your strengths except you’re telling us bullying is your strength.

DUNKA:There’s no kobocity.com copy of the same post hence the reply here. |
money121:The grave mistake of procrastination. I believe the price just went up recently. Am I right? |
money121:Wow! What about metcoppo? 0.55mm |
Blessedsunny2:How much? |
somehow:I get your point sir. Even before we break ground, there was fence already done by an independent contractor. |
somehow:Just as they recommended strip foundation and you chose raft over their recommendation. |
somehow:I hope this is not edited picture of fence
|
somehow:I know you only visited the site just 4 times and only rely on they told me to tell you but I have drone shots of the estate to prove you wrong. Even the perimeter fence of the estate was without raft. Let alone the fence of allocated plots done by other contractors. Smiles. _________ Before and Pics of XL8
|
somehow:Do you mean the fence that changed everything in the estate? Before Brabus, all other fences were built without a solid raft foundation and reinforced concrete columns at every 3 metre interval until we changed the narrative? Prove me wrong sir. They were even telling us “It’s not necessary!” |
somehow:What about non-disclosure agreement? Some client don’t want us to make noise. |
michlins:At least you have the address. Go and help yourself! |
somehow:They’re Internet pictures.... even your build wasn’t done by me. What matters is account is getting plumped. I don’t have control over what anyone chose to believe. |
michlins:My patrons understand the intent of every poster just as I do too. I asked you to provide pictures of th shoddy jobs you found on my site. You couldn’t produce it because I said I’ll provide pictures and videos of the job you did and the correction we made. Which of course you know I’ll do without worries. Asking you to provide bid for a job doesn’t automatically qualify for the job. It’s just an opportunity for you to expand. Just for your records, I do not need your validation. I only provide platform for younger one to grow and I’m happy they’re all doing great! My silence doesn’t mean I don’t know some things going behind the scene. We just keep silent because those who valued us won’t have to go through stress. I was reliably informed about how you were struggling to get ordinary generator for your work when my generators have been working non-stop for the past 7 months. Remember I called you for a tank tower job from one of the project that you did because we don’t take credit for other people’s work. I’ll ask you to revisit that same place where you worked and find out how many project my smart and cool-headed welder worked when I took him there (more than 13 back-to-back) From tank towersssss to gates, burglar proofs, steel structures, platforms, rails, carports etc. ____________ Even as I type, my welder informed me that a client of yours just contacted him to work on a project. I just pretend as if I don’t know wassup, the client is here reading. ____________ My welder is not on nairaland. He’s just one cool-headed smart guy who’s leveraging on my goodwill. I’m happy he did the Ìbàdàn job ![]() ____________ Take a visit to the project you worked on and find out what my goodwill has earned all those who worked for me and come back and give testimony. You don’t hawk gold men. Good morning my paddy!
|
somehow:Sigh! Are you implying my random posts can win clients? |
Good night! |
Videour:Go ahead bro! I smile in Swahili. I do not keep my stuff from my people and they’re here with you as well. |
redgem:Typical! Let him understand you’re not trying to teach him his job. You’re only trying to affirm his work by asking other people who have been there before you. |
Stopthecap:Smiles. How do you intend to reach the numerous followers of my Whatsapp status updates? They follow my updates bumper-to-bumper |
redgem:That’s very small footprint na. I think you’re spending too much. Some part of a building project are not for diy’ers. I think you should get someone to guide you. Alternatively, post your building plan here and get an option quote from in-house roofers to compare price/quantities. I didn’t pay more than 650k or thereabout for the woods used on the project below. It was supplied by @mountmoriah (https://www.kobocity.com/u/mountmoriah) on POD and I still have some quantities left on site. ________ I’m also roofing 2 building in Abeokuta this month end. I doubt we are spending up to 1.4m of roofing woods and it’s 3 unit of 2 bedroom x 2
|
redgem:If you can conveniently afford the difference, agree in principle with him. If you can’t afford the difference, see if you can get slight reduction in the price. Let him bring the woods. Count it and pay him the difference. Don’t waste your time on unfocused distractions! __________ I don’t know the size of your build so I can’t tell if the amount you’re spending on carcassing is too much or not. |
redgem:I guess your project is in Benin cos that’s the standard roofing wood size there. Use what your carpenters are comfortable with. I’d prefer 18ft wood too if we have it here in the south west. As per pricing, I’d advice you make hay while the sun shine. Lastly, chill out if need be to muster enough fund. You’re not in competition with anyone I guess. God will replenish your purse. __________ As at today, 30 tonnes stone dust is now over 150k in a location where we bought it at just 90k last year. |
sonnie10:Every good things in life have a hidden cost. For me, it’s not money but perseverance. There’s an old saying that goes “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Perseverance is that thing that pushes you to stay on course and keep trying when all the odds are against you. Impossible is not in my dictionary! |
sonnie10:Congrats! More bricks and mortar to your projects. I also have 2 contemporary build in the pipeline. We kicked off one (SCH Haus by NextHome) in January and luckily my other client picked almost similar design which we are also working on. https://youtube.com/shorts/9MYlPHRsghQ?feature=share Here’s a video showing a Banana Island replica of the design. That’s one the reason I’m shopping for 3D visualizers.
|
sonnie10:Well understood. I took a pass on a similar concept last month because the architect I contracted couldn’t replicate the design we wanted. ![]() He gave me a very old and boring design with some funny pillars. I just knock it off. Fortunately for me, the client later settled for a contemporary duplex. ________ Chairman Spyder is an authority in that space. I reached out to ihebroke (magictouch) but he was directing me to a site with some ready-made plans
|
sonnie10:Nice! Can you drop the contact of the architect who produced the design? Thanks. |
back2sender:Hey big bro! You can read up all you require and other need to know information from the Naija’s best self-builders community - kobocity.com https://www.kobocity.com/d/84-faq-lagos-state-physical-planning-permit-authority-laspppa/13 Wishing you all the best on your project.

somehow:When you write sir, please always remember to specify the scope of work. Scope: Carcass (Foundation - Roof) Expected Delivery Date: May 2021 Note: Dependencies which are not part of the contract (handled by a separate subcontractor) was still ongoing as at September 2021. This has to happen before we roof. ________ 1. Pic as at May 2021 2. Pic as at July 2021
