I only work with the signed contract that bind us together. I am not bound by any other document. Anyone can conjure anything they like. sonnie10: |
In 2015, we walked this route before. Someone claimed Brabus stole N5m to the wild jubilation of the leftists. I only smiled and asked for a proof. They used SARS, NIA, Zone 2 and even 2 years at Igbosere Magistrate court. In the end, the truth emerge. I have nothing to hide. You can never find funds that I cannot explain in my account and I always keep a record of my daily activities. They have never used my account or phone number to perpetrate fraud. So why should I fear anyone? How hard is it to convict a criminal when there are proofs? Except someone is having something to hide. |
Drenimarcus:Russia is actually applying checkers rule in a game of chess. In time like this, I carefully observe and study moves. |
sonnie10:Smiles. Nothing should catch you off guard. If I go to sleep today and you wake me up 10 years later, I’d share the same truth with verifiable proofs that do not require review. Read my comment here: https://www.nairaland.com/2550211/general-topic-thread-to-discuss-anything/2701#109204751 Truth is constant. |
Let me leave the floor for other performers ![]() |
bolu1986:Normally I don’t do this but for the records those who knew me knew I don’t manage and my taste is very high. May we all be judged accordingly. ___________ Are you in Ajah? If yes, go to the Glass seller in front of GTB in Ado road and tell him a man said he paid him for some glass sometimes last year, he asked you to get the refund from him.. If he claimed he’s not aware, ask for his account details, I’ll send you the transaction receipt. After buying the toughened 10mm atrium glass from MUSHIN in April 2021, it got broken, I still went ahead to pay for another one in Ajah, then the owner of the project claimed I diverted his fund blah, blah... Glass that got broken accidentally on a project and not human error... And you’re here talking about God in heaven... let me just go to bed jare! God is not mocked. Abi glass is not part of the refund we are crying for here. |
sonnie10:No! |
Stopthecap:Smiles. Just go through my posts on this platform and anywhere else and compare it with yours and your likes, we are miles apart sir. No pun intended. It is what it is! Unfortunately, since I grew into adulthood, I’ve outgrown the need for public validation and I only follow the dictates of my aspirations and moral convictions. So kindly extend my heartfelt greetings to those who are doing better than me. I’m never in competition with anyone. I don’t want what you have. If you’re richer than me, enjoy your wealth. It’s the people who never got adequate validation from their parents while growing up that often carry that need for public validation into adulthood. Bó l’óunje bá rí mi tó s’ojú kókó. Màa fi àije te l’órùnI’m defined by my internal compass and not by how any man chose to respond to me. So, I’m not wandering through this space wanting and needing validation from any man. _______ Respect begets respect. As you dish it, you get served. |

flexyonline:To be honest, I don’t have it and I have no control over what the client does to make himself happy. He’s a grown up adult. On the issue of public reputation, let me not pretend I don’t care because a lot of my protégés have called my attention to it and I asked them to chose what to believe and never to start reading a story from the end. I teach leadership and they all knew “In difficult situations, leaders lead.” There’s never a perfect circumstance to teach leadership. This is just one of it. Leaders don’t run away from fire. They run into it and take pictures. This morning, I purposely mentioned the unconvicted drug baron of Bourdilon who by all indications is likely to be the next man in Abuja. I don’t think he has ever lost sleep or allowed people to make him lose focus. _______ Obviously, I know me more than anyone else and I know my capabilities. I believe if anyone can do it, I can do it far better. I love this quote from Hebert Spencer that “those who survive the struggle are by definition not only the fittest but also morally the best.” ________ One thing is certain “I’d pay somehow very soon.” |
DUNKA:Let me help you here. Do you know that Bode George stealing public fund didn’t make much headline as Tinubu’s silence during endsars protest? If you understand why then you’d understand setting expectations too high can lead to considerable stress and this leading to disappointment. People won’t stop having issues on their projects but learning how to manage issues without drawing from regrettable past would help many people tidy up their projects faster and without issues. Whether you’d admit it or now, I was on Somehow’s project for just 12 weeks but we’ve spent almost 50 weeks after on what exactly... organizing pity parties, waging war, reconciling issues and you think I’m the problem. Ask yourself which is more productive? The 12 Weeks of Brabus on the project without external influence or the several weeks of back and forth trying to paint one man black. Now you’re angry I’m working elsewhere! How are others managing their issues? Or they don’t have one. We are not even talking about contractor requesting for additional funds o. Mention one project gotten on Kobocity. I was checking up on kobocity when you were handling somehow project and was happy thinking that you had turned things around for your good and your clients only to discover that a leopard cannot change his spots. No comment. I’m sure you know I’ve never stopped updating my project pages on kobocity.com since we launched the site last year. That’s all that matters to me. And we’ve never ran online or offline ads. Neither have I lobbied for jobs whether here or anywhere else. Interested people would always buy. You Underbid and undermine qualified contractors to win the Contract and once money exchanges hand the client becomes helpless because you have perfected this format to the dot that even a professional QS became like a mumu in your front.Of course this is your assumption. Even the client openly admitted my bid was the highest among others. Funny enough, I wasn’t even in the decision room to know who placed a bid or what figure they placed. I sent in my bid and await the decision of the client. The client in his own words said “Your quotes are well detailed than all other competitors hence the reason we are going for you.” On one account, I won’t forget when Mr Somehow told me not to bid for a particular job because he knew my bid would automatically be picked. Just as most you believed if I share my posts here, it’d automatically win over some clients. Na dat one you dey call jazz! You then rub salt to injury by openly mocking your clients to do their worse. What could be more worse than all your sanctions? You even invited Sunday igboho. I won’t stop doing the jobs of those have continued to engage me. Neither will I stop updating them here and via other medium. I’m open and use this platform and others to as my construction diary and not as shop as you presume ![]() Bosun it is not anything personal as I had supported you in the past but this somehowvcase was one to many. Recall I had implored you to settle but you rather felt that he cannot do anything to you.Well, he actually did something. Relied on online bullying and attacks that got us here in the first place. The very crowd he chose to turn his back at the beginning of the concert, he ended up going into bed with because one guy missed the note. If we don’t stop to react to every barking dogs on the way, we might lose our compass on the way. Pay somehow his money that you publicly admitted to owing after brow beating a professional qsI said I’m paying him soon. I have nothing to gain personally if you go down or go to prison just do the right thing.Go down? Prison?? Tufiaka. No comment. |
Blessedsunny2:Nice one! When you understand the power of one, you’d no longer lose sleep over the opinions of sheep. Endeavor to share your new products on kobocity.com Customers are waiting to buy from you there without bias. |
DUNKA:Baba Dunka, I really missed your posts. To be frank with you sir, I take no offense to your assaults. It’s just temporary moment of madness. Baba why do you think I’m using jazz? Ìjà ló dé l’orín d’òwe. The way you’re following the project both on nairaland and Kobocity shows you’re convinced beyond reasonable doubt that we are legit. Until the west pushed Ukraine against Putin, there was no invasion. _______ Some people reading this post will just be smiling because they know I’m very very FREE and simple. If you see way I slept off in one client’s (nairalander) site sef without care or worry someone might abduct me, you’d know say when you’re clean, there’s nothing to fear. ________ My arms are wide open to embrace your friendship by the time this is over. I know we walked this route before in 2014... I wasn’t surprised when you became my number 1 fan in 2021. Na you people dey do anti-party ![]() Even my chairman wey open thread on Brabus was the first to send me an invite online and offline. I know there’s nothing God cannot do! _______ It’s not that I don’t see all posts and rants here and there but I’m really not bothered because it’s just your opinion of me. Gbogbo ba ntì se. Àwon tó nfé wa. Ó ndùn mó won. Àwa ò bínú enìkan B’óyá ènìyàn bínú wa, àwa ò mò _______ Before a roof, there’s a design stage. Then foundation, substructure, first floor slab, 2nd floor block wall etc. If we didn’t run from those, what give you the impression we are on the run. Jazz ko, drumset ni! Grind until you no longer have to hustle. Baba, I come in peace! |
somehow:Haa! |
somehow:It offers hope in almost hopeless situation. |
Tinubu has always been a drug baron in the mind of over 150m Nigerian. Buhari’s nepotism is out of this world according some news media. Hmm! But I still believe there’s something called “right of association” #kogbagidi

Skilled and Professional 3D Architect Needed I need someone who’s able to produce quality 3D rendering as the attached. Please give a quote and your timeframe to complete 2 exterior and 2 interior view. Autocad files will be shared with the ideal candidate. Skills Required Software: 3DMax, Vray for Revit ________ Please reply to this post: https://www.kobocity.com/d/269-wanted-skilled-and-professional-3d-architect or DM 08023429122 for more information Mr Somehow, I’ll pay your money soon.

sonnie10:Rendering + Facade Treatment I met another young yoruba guy last year who’s currently under mentorship that’s equally treading that part. He’s exceptionally gifted. He did amazing job on the recently completed Church makeover project. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6UjRQ6udUY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoJe-LPB_Fo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46Sd8is8qRA _________ Bricks Sure I know them. The cool and very humble Togolese guy was recommended by Blessedsunny2 but I didn’t bat an eye lid while supervising their work. I didn’t pay per sqm. They scope the work, I negotiated their offer and I paid. _______ Edit: I used Equitoni Bricks. Though they have a new brand name now. There are lots of cheap bricks out there so I’d suggest you get the best available in the market if you’re planning to use burnt bricks on your project.

sonnie10:This is excellent! The last time I saw something like this in a build was 2013 on a project we did back then. The same guy fixed the much condemned Mr Azuh’s chicken leg pillars and turned it into a masterpiece. The young man is called Mr. Donatus. South East artisans got game ![]() Truly, there are levels to this trade. Much respect to those guys out there raising the bar of excellence. Pic 1: 2013 project Pic 2: The voraciously condemned Mr Azuh chicken leg pillar. Pic 3: Mr Azuh’s project After Pic 4: Testimony from a happy man.

Blessedsunny2:Back to where? From where? I’m always at https://www.kobocity.com/d/135-projects-by-nexthome-designbuild/88 dishing value back-to-back. Thank you for the compliment. Looking forward a long and mutually beneficial business relationship. |
Kingdemu:Forget the theatrics, my last 4 major projects (July 2021 till date) are from nairaland. We’re dealing with matured grown ups here who can make decision on their own. And guess what, I’m always present on those sites 24/7. _______ Dig and you’ll find out people are smarter and wiser. _______ Feel free to engage me anytime, we don’t have to close a deal to be friend. Ask my once-upon-a-time friend, rajput4real ![]() He knew I’m always ready to help without asking a kobo in return. But make I no lie o, I think he sent me recharge card one day because he felt I’m always ready to offer help anytime he calls. Rajput4real can call ![]() |
kalu61:It’s really not about money. It has a lot to do with our moral compass. I’ll just say “Grow through what you go through.” |
I’m humbled. |
AlphaTaikun:Interesting! Are you new here? Take a very good time to get to know about people before you make recommendations o. I am the one and only Brabus/Brabusng/N3xt of NextHome. I do what I do because the world offered me so much and I’m happy to give back. |
kalu61:I feel you plight but running errands is never part of the scope. For reasons best known to the owner of the project, he can decide to make some changes. Don’t feel bad because of that. He’s only taking some loads off you. Well done! |
I had my own fair share of BOQ. The professional (a member here) was in a rush to take his money upfront on the eve of Ileya 2021 ![]() The client (a member here too) ended up throwing the bill at my face. N200k lost in one night. ________ Guess what? I didn’t make any noise. I learnt a lesson. |
Ndyoo:Typical! I actually don’t intend to chook mouth but for learning purpose, let me share. A supposed professional gave you a piece of paper and you expected it to work because someone said it’ll work sir. The next thing he travelled out of the country, leaving you and the contractor to make it work. Then you start fighting with contractor and everyone on site due to overrun. 2x + 3 = 5x, Find x. If this is construction, x could be pilfrage, design error (wider beams/columns), wastage etc which 99.999% of time are not covered in bills of quantities. A BOQ document is a useless piece of paper without proper evaluation of its performance. The only way you’d know a cctv installation is satisfactorily completed is when you’re able to view your cameras locallly and remotely and perform other functions as agreed in your scope. There and then, the contractor can get his balance. Why the exception on BOQs? Even architectural designs, we review, review, review until the architect start crying but when we take BOQ, we start to find X just because a professional said it. Unfortunately you can only find X when you’re already in the midst of the sh*t. Why should a professional drop a document that should serve as a guide in a project only to show up when issues arise on the site.... He must either make it work or follow through. ______ To make BOQs work, treat the professionals who prepare them the same way you treat artisans and contractors on your project. Pay them 50% upfront and balance at the end of the project when the document satisfactorily meet its expectation. Anyone could be prepare any rubbish, get paid and walk away when there are no consequences. _______ Nigeria will be a better place if the opposition is as strong as Brabus because not many people love to hear the truth. I know a lot of praise singers here that their intentions aren’t noble. They knew that I know and I’m not stupid. They just want to protect their territorial clan. Deep down, they wish things could be better. ________ I’m doing 2 project for some folks here and they said “I don’t want BOQ” when I suggested it to them. I didn’t even bother to explain because I know X could be anything unforeseen in a project. ________ My name is Brabus, N3xt and I’m proud owner of NextHome Design+Build. |
rotecch77:How about allowing your client to get you all the materials needed for each stage of work, negotiate your labour fee and professional charge with him? It’s the best way to manage projects in time like this. Lastly, if possible avoid turnkey contracts, as it places huge places responsibilities that would otherwise fall on the owner in a traditional design-bid-build (per milestone) delivery on the contractor. Even with the best intentions and planning, you can never be 100% accurate on contingencies and creeping scope (especially when changes are being made to the original scope of work) and the final cost (due to inflation). >> Allow the owner to prepare the design, the bill of quantities, the scope/schedule and appoint a project manager. >> Negotiate your labour and professional fee based on the prepared document. 90% of naija clients won’t ever share this with you not go this route with you because it’s not always in their favour and it pushes more responsibilities/liabilities on them. >> Review your fees as milestones/stages in the event scope get expanded. Our problem in Nigeria is systemic. We are always looking for ways to cut corners and push the blame on someone else. The only people who project owners can’t cheat are those in the construction materials sector. Once price changes, they (project owners) dance to the tune. Why should an artisan who took 350 per sqm for tiling in 2020 take the same amount in 2022? Interestingly this is changing, a lot of us just don’t know it yet. It’s already happening in Lagos. Professional artisans no longer do daily pay for jobs. They charge after scoping your work. Blessedsunny2 can confirm I paid over 43k just to lay tiles on about 20sqm wall tiles. I also paid 45k just to install ceiling mural. A job done in less than 5 hours. I didn’t struggle to do this because I wasn’t on a turnkey project. I asked the client to provide a cheaper alternative if he has one. Inflation didn’t just affect cost of building, it affects standard of living as well! So before you start doing calculations, put yourself in the shoes of those poor guys. I come and leave in peace. Edit: Even ordinary shovel that we bought 1,400 in 2020 is almost 3,000 now. So as sonnie12 rightly shared, it has a lot to do with our inner man. Nothing more! Seun Mynd44

Kingdemu:Noted sir. Thanks for the information. I just noticed there’s no way to contact the admin of the site. That’ll be fixed as soon as possible. You can still continue to try. Order is vital than speed. Many are rushing nowhere fast. Paint then neatly install your fittings. Then retouch if necessary. Simple. It doesn’t matter whether the project is in Sugarcane (Ìrèké) Island or Garri Valley, good taste is good taste. >> From NextHome’s budget build done in 2015. AlphaTaikun:A very productive way to spend quality time away from chaos. The simple request of the owners of this project was to transform the old church building to a physical marker and a focal point for worship in the ancient Oshodi, Lagos. @Blessedsunny2 supplied the bricks. Colour: Burnt Jasper Installer: Recommended by Blessedsunny2 Second, are the bricks used real burnt bricks or synthetic? They’re real burnt South African bricks. See pic 2 below. A lot of gentrification is trulyThanks for the compliment. You inspire us to do more. Many thanks to the chairman who was rooting for us in the boardroom saying “Brabus will deliver this!” I’m glad we did this. Oshodi To The World!!!

somehow:I just finished talking to you brother and he told me he honestly didn’t see the alert that money was sent and I also apologized to him that I didn’t send him any message because I didn’t see any alert either until next day. As a matter of fact, the transaction didn’t/hasn’t reflect in my mobile app (transaction history) up till date. I’m only lucky to see the sms alert later on my phone. So he’s not wrong to tell you he hasn’t gotten anything from me. He said he no longer bother to disturb because the person who wanted to use the pump is no longer available. Lastly, he asked me to make peace and not to allow our issue go the Putin vs Zelenskyy way with western sanctions up and down. Issue resolved the gentleman way. _______ Note: He admitted there was never a discussion between us (verbal or otherwise) on issue of price. ________ As per the screenshot, I do not intend to excarbate issues as I know Brabus issue always give some folks here erection but Femi knew my position hence the need for more than 4 reviews. It’s not a joke putting a supposed professional on his toes that he had to review his report for more than 4 times. My intention wasn’t to perpetuate the game until you run out of will to play but just to let him know he’s not dealing with a stupid fellow. He had the opportunity to be the hero of this issue but he chose to allow emotions to cloud his judgement. He shouldn’t be surprised to read such message from me because that has always been my position on the matter hence the need for reviews. He has records of our chats and he knew what I always tell him. If I go silent, it doesn’t mean disrespect to you. I’m only leaving the stage for other actors to perform. Myself and Rotecch77 still chat this morning and I told him things will be resolved soon. |
