To dust we shall return... |
3KINGZ18:I’ll take a pass. I have the mould but only use them for personal projects. |
IDnoble80:Definitely not resolved by onlookers or those who had nothing valuable to add to the forum but by well meaning people who understands that there are no perfect being and no perfect contract. I hope you understand where you belong now. Imagine we tow your route when the issue arose what would have happened to the young man. I just had to do this to let you know you’re inconsequential here. Just a number. |
DUNKA:Bros e ![]() |
michlins:I’m home now. Jedijedi gat me. |
michlins:I guess you made this statement with exception... because that wasn’t the case on your door issue. Internet never forget. |
twinskenny:I don’t pick on people. I only reply those who deserve my time. When you and Micgray ain’t having headway on your borehole issue, I chose to step in so that we can have peace on the forum. If you can do that, please stay in your lane and leave the client to do his business his way while I manage my issue my own way. It’s you that get worried not me! Unlike me, you never said soon and the issue continue to drag without headway. I said I’m paying soon. What else is there to man up for? Probably to make a commitment I can’t keep so that you guys can start another plenary session on failed promise. When I said I’ll do something, I’ll do it. _________ True, the Internet never forget. That’s why I’m never in a rush to delete any of my accounts. Not change my mobile number or account numbers and ain’t afraid to share my address with the digital world and they’ve never used any of my accounts to perpetrate fraud. Issues arise. We face it head on. We know those who have had to do this many times over. It shows they can’t stand by their words or probably ashamed of the life they lived at some point of their life. |
FEGEITOK:You’re right and I’m glad a friend gave me this warning very early in life when I just started raising kids. ________ Pic: My 1 year old was actually caught doing this when no one is around. Trying to pull the computer screen closer to himself.
|
somehow:To be honest, I was upfront with the mediator. When your repayment is done, I’ll show you the post once again to let you know I’m upfront. Kindly stop assuming my position sir. |
michlins:Were you paid to refund madam Eyinne for one door? Answer this first. When there’s irreconcilable difference on a project, a mutually agreed approach to achieving peace is inevitable. If a glass that was meant to be used on a project got broken on the project (after you’ve paid for it and it has been delivered to you) and the client is unwilling to let go, will you repay or not? If there’s a change of design and you can’t guarantee it, will you be liable to make a refund or not? In my contract, there’s a portion of the document which says “The client has every right to let out a separate contract” Good morning bro! Hope you can comprehend this. ____________ I guess it’s safe to call you a fraudster because your client asked you to refund money for 1 door she found unfit out of 6 doors your produce. |
MrDraey:That doesn’t mean if there’s leak in the wall, water won’t rise. |
3KINGZ18:Hand moulding or machine? |
So people can actually keep over 1,000 gallons of used motor oil in their houses and storage facilities without being dead... I thought used motor oil kills faster than gun.
|
somehow:But I talked about buying wood from the bush and I bought it and took pictures to show the huge difference. I also talked about treating woods with Solignum, kerosene and used motor oil and I didn’t fail to show pictures that I did that myself on my build and I’m not dead yet 11 years after. What other talk are we to walk bayi o? I made a promise that I’m going to repay you soon... let me fail first before you condemn me na. Happy New Week! |
redgem:Wishing you best of luck on your project. Yes for the glove! |
It’s natural for people to criticize what they don’t understand because human being are natural fast at the trigger of condemnation. Does going to the bush to buy roofing wood make any sense? NO! Does having quality woods that are standard in measurements and are very durable make any sense? YES! Does it matter where they came from? NO! YES! NO! YES!! ![]() We live in a flight or fight world. If you don’t understand something, attack it, condemn it or run away from it. But for me, if I don’t understand something. I see it as an opportunity to learn something new and expand on it through research. I don’t even care who wins the Nobel Prize. If it makes sense, I’m in. ___________ Peace! |
redgem:Don’t forget to get them rubber gloves to use when applying the chemicals. It cost between 500 - 1000 Solignum do cause a lot of irritation when applying it on woods and it’s instantaneous . Best wishes. |
adeememman:Bros people do fumigate house with very harmful chemical substance and still live in that house after some hours (maybe 24 or 48 hours). I’d kick against overexposure to used motor oil but it’s one-off treatment and you’d still have about 2 - 3 months (at least) to work on the completion of any project before human habitation. This literally mean the treated woods are/should be safe by then. |
bobkezel:Do you know there are structurally important but not aesthetically pleasing component in every home? Read up: https://www.kobocity.com/d/224-30-ways-to-save-money-on-your-next-home-project/22

bobkezel:Smiles. No time for long thing. You can’t wait for the “let me bring it from our second shop” stories. On a flipside, how many wood seller will allow you to select “all good” woods. That’s if theyre not stewarding you towards where baddest of the bad woods are stocked. Even the most experienced carpenters get cheated by these guys. Note: there are good guys out there selling quality woods in the open market but you can hardly find two in a dozen because people by default will naturally pick cheap over good. |
adeememman:@bolded in red Do you have any reason why used motor oil can’t or shouldn’t used on indoor woods? |
ogbs2020:I’m not sure this is exactly what you’re looking for but this could be your starting point on your journey to home ownership in Anambra. You can visit https://www.kobocity.com/d/88-building-in-anambra to read everything you need to know about Anambra State Physical Planning Board. Wood from the Bush So I decided to do a preventative check on my roofing woods this morning and I feel I should share why getting wood from the credible source from the Bush is 1000 times better for me. Project: Chateau De Brabus Year of Installation: 11 Years Observation - the wood are still resistant to humidity and temperature fluctuations. No visible signs of defects. - the treatment applied on the wood is still highly resistant to rot, fungi, and mildew. The woods are still looking great. Though it cost a little more than the open market price, I’m happy to pay the difference for peace of mind and comfort. In a separate post, I’ll share pictures of woods that were supplied to me in one of my ongoing project. I cannot but smile when I get to see the quality of these woods, their shape and even their sizes (length and girth). I recently stumble on some 2by2 woods on a project and I feel very sad that someone who could afford a N5m roofing sheet cannot take the pain to get the best type of roofing wood out their to build the roof frame. It’s just sad a lot of people don’t know the areas to invest in quality upfront - areas to compromise and areas not to bat an eyelid. This is one!
|
redgem:Solignum, Kerosene and used Motor Oil* I shared this trick some years back but few who don’t understand the dynamics condemned it. The truth is used motor oil cannot completely dry Thus it helps in stabilize your roofing wood and make them stronger and more durable. So unless you’re having problems at untreated nail points/joints, your roofing woods can last forever when treated with used motor oil. ________ I did that on my personal build though I have very solid woods and I never regret it. Having double layer of protection doesn’t harm. |
Ojuelegba again! |
Wow! The bike, the yard sale and sarcasms. I honestly do not have any idea you were the one. I put past in the past. To be honest, I’m always here to study the comprehension of online written sarcasms. Brabus has been at loggerheads with many folks here that we ended up becoming online friends in this same place. One was my number 1 praise singer on the project in question jumping from platforms to platforms (kcity to NL) to sing praises and admiration. Can we confidently call such folk an enabler or say they’re giving Brabus an opening? I understand this game perfectly and only the weak ones fall for it. I’m happy @redgem didn't allow emotions to becloud her reasoning when they came at her. I guess she’s too focused to allow anyone sell her cra p or maybe more matured. We’ve been here for years and we know the drill. I’m pretty sure some of your know I’m still working for many people here but they’re wise enough not to make it public before you start tagging them.

beejay1:Disclaimer I’m not asking you to buy from this person. As a matter of fact, I’ve not patronized her before but she’s a supplier around that area. She gave me her contact while working on some projects there. You can call her to make enquiries and compare figures. 0708 357 7813 - I don’t know her name. __________ Here’s what I know. The price of good sharp sand in that area is more than what we buy in Lekki and Oshodi. And their truck is kinda small which makes it look like a rip off to me. They don’t use the China truck we are used to in Lekki axis. They have the side-loading type of truck. They have 2 types of sharp sand (good and bad sand). Both can be used but I’d advice you to use the good one for your concrete works. _________ Granite at 300k in that axis seems like a good deal to me if it’s full. I bought very full 45 tons 2 weeks ago in Oshodi at 450k. Unconfirmed source says granite price will go up in coming week again. |
sonnie10:I give advice only once. It’s not my house. Whether bush or open market, make we sha roof our house. |

Born2conquer:Wow! I guess they’re in prime areas. |
The unconvicted Drug Baron of Bourdillon |
topsy23:You remind me of late Vice President Alex Ekwueme’s (former President of NIA and ARCON) projects. His projects are top notch and one of the best managed projects I’ve ever seen in Lagos. All stakeholders meet every forthnight to discuss project deliverables and dependencies in a round table session. |
