somehow:I believe I informed him I wasn’t in a place I can be reached due to terrible network connection but I’m going to send the money to him on the next day which is on the 12th March. He can’t deny he didn’t read the message and acknowledge my message. How am I supposed to know he doesn’t receive alert? Why should I get worried again when he no longer reach out to me immediately after I send the fund on the 12th March? Moreso, if he has told me he’s getting the pump at much higher price, I would have insisted he wait to get someone to send him the one in Alatishe. I even offered to get him one to use from around his place pending when he get someone to pick his own but he kept pressuring he wants money and all the pressure went down after 12th March. |
I chose to be silent on your message regarding your bro because I know you always act on impulse. “They told me” I know lies when I see one. Why hasn’t your brother confronted me over what I said 30 mins ago? My Whatsapp not working or what? I leave in peace! _______ Meanwhile I was following up your discussion on Russia’s rubble yesterday. I actually wanted to learn. |
somehow:Maybe he rejected it in his mind. I hope he won’t say his phone got lost or he said it verbally because there was no record of discussion on offers. If he has any, he can share with me or cook up one. There’s a price for 0.5 submersible pump. He has option of picking one or getting his money back. He made his choice. I didn’t impose it on him. _______ I didn’t buy pump and we have 2 submersible pump inside the store on site ![]() |
Waiting for the confirmation o! I’m sure Brabus can’t turn back hand of time. He can’t make payment into an account on the 12th March 2022 this morning. |
somehow:My only phone number unreachable and that’s what I’m using to surf the Internet right now. Well he should confirm the payment if it’s there or not? He rejected my offer? Which offer? My only offer was for him to provide a contact to receive the pump on his behalf. He made the request for refund which I did. It’s always very interesting in this space though. |
somehow:I don’t have to because I’ve done my part. He should call me if he didn’t see the money sent to him as agreed on the 12th March 2022. Nothing more. How hard is it to confirm a payment was made into an account? |
And suddenly he went mute after 12th March 2022 No more calls, no more messages after payment was made on the 12th until few seconds ago. What a big coincidence! |
somehow:1. The sensible thing here is “Did I offer money first or a pump?” He wanted money and he gets what he paid. 2. Where is his project for God’s sake? Sango or Alatishe? Don't worry, I will make arrangements to get the pump today anywhere on the island.Sigh! Which pump are we talking about? He should check his transaction on the 12th March, 2022 Desc:099MJKL22071IpGh/TRF/Submersible pump refund Time:12/03/2022 And don’t forget to apologize when you confirm the fund. That’s what a gentleman would do! |
Mar 2 - 6 So, I don’t know which pump you discussed pump yesterday. Your brother even confirmed that the location of the project where the pump is, is too far from where he want it delivered and tried to make alternative arrangement for pickup which didn’t work.So how am I the one playing games? Did he get there to pick pump and he didn’t get it?
|
somehow:Smiles. Is a borehole ever complete without a pump? If yes, I’m sorry for including in in his quote. If no, I did what’s right. Not using his pump for the installation doesn’t mean he won’t need it at a later time. May I ask why did we buy your pump, hand it over to you and ended up not using it for your project? It’s because we have our own pump to use for the project at no additional cost to you. You only needed it when you requested because the new contractor doesn’t provide such value-added service. Everything is on the client. When you didn't buy it, you didn't refund him instead nor told him you never bought it until we had to find out ourselves that you didn't leave any machine there. But you know I bought yours and didn’t leave it inside the borehole because I know it can be stolen and we will still be here to drag issues. I pack everything we no longer use off site when we demolish the store. It’s simple common sense! You can only ask me because I said I kept them with me. Imagine leaving a submersible in unfenced property for 8 months in a place where common iron rod are stolen. He's been asking you for close to a month now.He asked and I told him to provide contact of the person to pick it up which he couldn’t but asked me to send it to almost 40km from the original site where the borehole was installed. I wish I could do that but I’m equally off the location. So the option of making a refund was picked. You think I didn't hear from him before asking you? We still spoke yesterday and today. For you to ask this question, even a week ago, it shows there’s communication gap because issue has been sorted more than a week ago. He told me what you offered him few days ago which won't even buy the machine which he rejected.Smiles. Maybe you were discussing someone else and not me. I made one-time payment to his account. Now you asked him to come pick up the machine somewhere.Where else should he pick his machine? The project location or 40 miles away from the project?? The question remains, why ask for money for machine you planned never to use as you always claim you have your "tools"?Will he use my pump to provide water in his house after we are done with his project? He paid for a complete service and we did exactly what he asked us. He has no store on site, neither provide a contact to keep the machine with and he only visited the site thrice to my knowledge... so please help me understand where the pump should be kept? Inside the borehole or the contractors custody until the owner request for it. Now, to my money, you don't have money yet but you go about telling anyone that brings up the case with you that you won't pay a dime for terminating the contract that already expired 4 months earlier?Abeg no vex! I go pay! |
somehow:I’m sorry sir. Have you refunded my younger brother's submersible machine money or have you returned the machine he paid for that you never bought? You got my attention sir! I’m sure you have the contact of your brother to verify. He’s not ready to go pick the pump where I ask him to collect it and just like you too, he asked for a refund which I’ve given him. I never had to worry about using your submersible pump which you knew we deliver to the estate supervisor on your request when we were done installing the borehole because I have my water pumpsss that I use on projects which you knew about. I doubt I ever bother any client for pump or borehole on any project since 2014 https://www.nairaland.com/2745049/construction-journal-browne-mews-nexthome/2#40397232 because I have almost all construction equipment you can think of. Not even now that we’ve doubled their number. It’s part of our service offering. I hope you’d update this place when you confirm he has received it. The same fence/borehole you were using to boast that you completed, you still cut corner. This is different from what you owe me that you haven't paid a dime on for months now.I’ve not gotten money ni. @QsFemi (one of my verified status viewer) can confirm this. He’s always following my daily updates like Open Heavens daily devotional He knew I’m not having anything right now but trust me you’d receive from me soon. _______ I’ve dropped my vibes already. I leave in peace! |
sonnie10:I’m sorry for late reply. I dey my dey looking for Mr Somehow’s money. I’m not here for too long though. My line remains the same 08023429122 (I don’t have 2nd, 3rd, 5th abi Whatsapp line). For intellectual engagement, you can reach me here https://www.kobocity.com/u/brabus |
sonnie10:Smiles While I concur the building fabric should be built with fire-resistant materials, I must point out that the materials used aren’t always the issue but the design of the building. Our buildings need to be designed to offer an acceptable level of fire safety and minimise the risks in the event of fire outbreak. Today, most designs chose form over function. ________ Note: Oil and fire retardant wallpapers are used in the kitchen. |
toluxa1:It’s called Stucco. There are painting and there’s decorative painting. If you want Italian feel on your build, then you can’t do without these paintings. Check out @fonyeri (https://www.nairaland.com/fonyeri) for the best of decorative paintings on nairaland. They’re out of this world paint job! On the flipside, there are self adhesive marble wallpapers (for countertops, columns, tv/feature walls etc) that you can use to achieve same effect. Most of the upscale developments in and around lagos now use them on their feature walls. I picked a few for a recently completed project last month. rajput4real93:Despite my advice to you to let things slide, just look at what you’re calling a fellow human being (Muslim) a criminal for... To gain what? It’s well! What would you do if you had to work on a more complex issue like below? ![]() My religion is humanity.
|
rajput4real93:After helping you to get a refund I didn’t know you have someone who could do a better job. Anyway I don’t know what Rotecch77 did wrong except you tell us. Unlike most people, I don’t insinuate or assume. I listen to understand motives and intent and not just react. Al I see in your matter is scope creep due to lack of clarity. That’s why I asked you to tell the world what Rotecch77 did wrong. - Convert kitchen to parlour - Remove tiles from kitchen to make blah blah - Move the wall back a bit ![]() |
rajput4real93:Smiles! But you don’t have records to prove this. The only irrefutable fact here is I spoke with Rotecch77 to refund you for the basin and door and he confirmed it (evidence provided). And I guess I sent you an invitation to meddle in your affairs right? Your confusion is on another level sir. Have a good day! _________ When you’ve settled down, take good time to tell the world what rotecch77 did wrong. I asked him to refund you that money because that’s all he owed you. |
rajput4real93:The only two faced person here is you sir because I did all my best to ensure peace reign. I never for once asked you to call out anyone. Even all evidence here proved you’re lying. I’ll find your post here on the same matter and what you say about me preventing you from calling out the person. I’ll share the link here. It’s still here. I didn’t lose my sense with my chats and I always update the Internet whenever I do my stuffs not to show off but just because of pathetic liars and the confused ones. Read my post here: https://www.nairaland.com/2550211/general-topic-thread-to-discuss-anything/2678#108895002 And see Rotecch77’s message attached below in December 2021 confirming my role in your conflict. The only person without a record or evidence to corroborate his claims here is you! Let’s leave me out of this. What exactly do you want from Rotecch77? Be specific. People like me are not emotionally driven. __________ rajput4real93:Smiles! I know you’ve been trying hard to give me your job (replacement of 4 local doors) since 2020 and there’s always one excuse or the other for your inability to afford my service. Now This!
|
rajput4real93:I see! The same door you awarded to rotecch77 in 2020 at 200k is what you’re offering me peanut in 2022 to do for you. I think you must have forgotten why I stopped responding to you sir. I lost my chats too but not my memory. Rotecch77 might have his own issues on your project but I think we did all we can to ensure amicable resolution. I even offered to do the leakage test for you at no cost if rotecch77 didn’t come to do it. Remember I sent you pic of my testing bucket. I mandated he should make the refund and forgo every other thing. What else do you want? By the way what have you done to the person who built you the house you’re trying to remodel? I guess he’s not here for you to rubbish or more powerful than you are. ________ I come and go in peace!

michlins:One project with 9 buildings is still One Project https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCEunLunhYs The same team, the same equipment, the resource work on the project in one location. I hope you get my point. |
Were you expecting me to finish 9 buildings in 1 week? Or the QS didn’t see the scope of my next project? |
somehow:I don’t lie and I am straightforward. This explains the reason why I engaged and paid the same QS to prepare the bill for my next project. You were reliably informed I’m moving into a new project. I didn’t sneak out. I even send you the design and scope of my new project and your QS too is well aware. I moved leaving you to tidy up all the dependencies while we attend to other projects. A reliable professional would have adviced and insisted that I complete the roofing before moving to a new project in May 2021 but that wasn’t the case after I parted with 200k to prepare the bill for the new project. I’ve learnt so much from here though. I will definitely pay you back. |
somehow:Yes. Handled 4 months ago. That’s exactly my point. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6rBf-vXcsU This video was shared with me by my client 4 months ago when the atrium was plastered and window installed. The person who recorded the video was the person who plastered the atrium and installed the atrium window which was supplied by rockofagesaluminum. It was after this that screeding and tiles were installed on the atrium wall. Thank God I abandoned the project since 7 months ago according to my client. Is plastering of the Atrium part of my contract? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NSOnLqXYwI Here’s a drone short of the building 7 months ago (uploaded exactly 13rh May 2021) Pic below was taken and shared in 7th May. Good morning!

Tiztonio:Because I welcomed Seun like every other forum members ![]() What are you expecting sir? Kindly help me clarify your expectation. |
bixton:I’ve not come across it in Nigeria before. |
emmyN:I’m doing my best bro. I’m going to pay but I don’t have it now. ______ @blessedsunny2, I’ll need more South African brick tiles, sky+top bond to fill up the tiles and chemical for polishing. Thanks.

mountmoriah:Once again, omo onile issue is location dependent in Lagos state. There are areas where we pay as much as over N2m just to settle omo onile to start work. Just to give you ideas, think “Magodo vs LASG“ What do you think could give the land grabbers the audacity to stand head-to-head with a sitting Governor. If not timely intervention, they’ll demolish the estate and nothing will happen. I still have videos and pics from an estate that was demolished in Lagos. Even the house of a sitting commissioner from another state wasnt spared. Both omo onile and government touts are necessary evil in Lagos, don’t be too harsh on them. They can cause regrettable loss on your project. The most important thing in Lagos is perfection of your title documents. Everything else (omo onile settlement, local govt wahala, supplier tussle, labour disputes etc) are non-issues that can be easily overlooked. |
Stevo30:I’m just seeing this. Omo onile settlement is location dependent and how grounded/popular you’re in your locality. It shocking I’m doing a massive project In the heart of Oshodi, Lagos and there has never been any issue so far on the project. When I tried to investigate how possible this can be in Oshodi, I found out the owner of the project is well known, respected and feared in the community. This explains the reason we were not disturbed by the boys. The best approach that has worked for me so far is that I try to make friend with them and involve them wherever I can on the project - supplies, on-site work, logistics etc. When they chose to be difficult, I engage uniformed men to get them to listen and work with me. I remembered engaging one of the omo oniles to handle all the sand supplies in the XL6 Trillion project while I gave granite to Chekitaut. Omo oniles are necessary evil in South West, Nigeria. You need them and I know you’ll eventually find them useful one day. __________ Some years back, I paid some monies to omo oniles in Ologolo and also went ahead to give all the block and granite/sand supplies to 2 of the most feared member of the gang. The guys that I gave supplies proved much more useful in the long run than the family head. I eventually end up giving him my dump truck to use for my supplies and his own business while he pay me my weekly return. I know how many people I referred on this platform to the same guy on any omo onile matter/issue from Jakande to Sangotedo. Don’t be too soft or harsh on them. Wishing you all the best in your project. |
Seun:Thanks Seun for the timely intervention. Do what leaders do. |
