dannysugar: Why is this so? I've been pensive about this. If the current exchange rate falls less than the rate of the 1st year of the scholarship would they maintain the rate of the first year?. Is it a policy to maintain the rate of the year when the award was awarded or they jst calculate it as they please? Truth is since the award letter said 30k dollars, the value of the money should have been almost the same as the fluctuations between GBP and Dollars is not usually much. This has nothing to do with the value of naira because the award letter is in dollars. |

Now that this scholarship issue has been debated on the floor of the Nigerian Senate last week,it was encouraging to see both APC/PDP Senators condem the way the agencies (NDDC) have mis-managed scholars welfare to the embarrassment of the nation. The senate president also lamenting the welfare as being insufficient. It will be interesting to hear his(MD) defense in his call-up for enquiries. It musn't always result in these national embarrassments for things to be done properly.
I hope these payments will be done soonest so we can all forge ahead. Has the MD been invited to senate? |

Jagermeister: THERE IS A WITCH IN EVERY WOMAN! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>∆∆∆<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
This is a very interesting story and a lesson for men.
(To men) Please take time to ponder.
(To women) Just enjoy the story.
Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighbouring kingdom.
The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.
The question was: *What do women really want?*
Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man. And to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.
He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men, and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.
Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.
The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but first he would have to agree to her price.
The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table, and Arthur's closest friend. Young Arthur was horrified.
She was hunch-backed and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc.
He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden.
But Lancelot, having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life. And the reservation of the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered.
Arthur's question thus: "What a woman really wants?"
She said, "A woman wants to be in charge of her own life."
Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth, and that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was. The neighbouring monarch granted Arthur his freedom. And Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.
The honeymoon hour approached and, Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him.
The most beautiful woman he had ever seen was sitting by the bed.
The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened. The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth become her horrible and deformed self only half the time, and be the beautiful maiden the other half.
"Which would you prefer?" She asked him. "BEAUTIFUL during the DAY... OR at NIGHT?"
Lancelot pondered the predicament.
During the day, he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch!
OR,
would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day? But by night a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous moments with?
(If you are a man reading this) What would YOUR choice be?
(If you are a woman reading this) What would YOUR MAN'S choice be?
And Lancelot's choice is given below...
BUT, please make YOUR choice first before you scroll down below!
OKAY?
Knowing the answer the witch gave to Arthur for his question, Sir Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.
Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time, because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.
Now, what is the moral to this
The moral is...
1. There is a 'witch' in every woman, no matter how beautiful she is. It's how a man manages it
2. If you let a woman decide on her own she gives u the best.
Culled from Whatsapp. The story above is the cause of most issues in homes. Most broken homes will always have a woman that was at a point in charge! |

I was told when asked about the list over the weekend while he( Nsima Ekere) was in Uyo, his response was " I will do it, I will"
Currently nothing is happening as per scholarship 2017 list
So we are either dealing with con man whose words mean nothing or a damn lazy procrastinator who sits on things for fun.
Either ways lets cling on to the hope that God will push him to act soon.

Saliman22: Good morning my wonderful family, I had an issue with my girl 2015 which I open a thread here in romance section, we settled early this year,.
Lemme go straight to the point, I work with micro finance bank which I don't normally have time, my girl is on her IT at ministry of health in my state, what happened yesterday shocked me, my church is having a youth conference currently going on now in Anambra state, for the past two weeks now I'm in the village, she don't normally go to her IT place telling me that there are on malaria program which she don't considered it useful according to her.
What happen yesterday I'm still in shocked right now that is like I'm dreaming which I'm not. It was past 11pm at night that my girl woke up and shout dear dear and I asked her what happen, then she narrated how she had a dream and I was killed in the dream, I was like what is going on because someone warned me about this month that I should be careful, so I went outside immediately with my Bible and olive oil for prayers. I was in the middle of the compound praying and I asked her to wait for me and she said she cannot wait, that she feared standing alone at night, my compound has a very big gate o, now she went inside my last born room and I was still praying.
Some spirit entered me and I stopped half way and to my surprise ever when I stop she couldn't come out and I waited small and it wasn't up to 2mins she came outside and asked me to wait for her and I didn't wait, she followed me, when I came to the house, I didn't talk to her for some minute and she asked me what the problem is and I explained to her that she should stop that thing that is going on with my last born. She said she's surprised that I could think about this kind of a thing and she's not stupid to have make love with my brother, I told her immediately that I want to make love to her and she said until we finished our discussion and I objected and go straight there and put my hand, behold she was extra wet, so at this point I went inside my last born room and called him to come and the boy followed me.
I now asked him to knell down and he did, at this point I brought out a cable and asked him to tell me why she make love to my woman, at this point my girl knell down and started crying, both of them confess that I did it twice. I now asked my girl the reason she did this even when she knew I was praying, she didn't give me a concrete answer.
So this things has been going on under my roof and I have spent my hard earned money for my brother and her.
Pls I need your advice. Pls what can I do, this morning I have called her aunty to inform her, and she said I should meet her on Saturday.
Pls help me brother and sisters. I need help Pls. That girl ISN'T your wife! Man up and let her go. You don't even need to meet her sister. Don't bother about how much you have spent on her, let her go! |

Kh001: We wish the 2017/2018 LSS scholars success in their studies. The successful OSS scholars will be contacted tomorrow. All successfuls should fill the form provided honestly and correctly so we can act and plan accordingly.
It is unfortunate I will deactivate my account now. Some of you had complained to PTDF that a staff is on nairaland passing out information. While they were happy, it is not professional as it is the duty of the public department to do that. To hide my personality and my account to be known, I will deactivate my account now.
I just felt I should give information as Nairaland has helped me a lot during my struggles. You don't need to refer me as Sir. I am just like you opportuned to get PTDF job. I hope an official PTDF account will be agreed by management as Npower is here on nairaland.
Before I leave, I will like to thank DMainMan, Dremanuel, madridsta, usqoh, Dennisekendrick, Ellacity, DXXM and many more for all their contributions. Your input has helped the education department as regards the exam flaws which we took into account when shortlisting the successfuls which on the other side delayed the shortlisting process.
For all those giving important information in this forum, thank you for selfless service. We have learnt and hope to make the process efficient next term. Thank you @kh001 |
