TonyeBarcanista: Well, I won't tell you "sorry" but I'll advice you to forget about her and channel your energy into better your life.
Like seriously, you even apologised for wrong done to you by her? My brother, you are a victim of the scam called love. What she was after was the $$$ and you became useless after it stopped coming (that's what most women are after by the way though).
Anyway, enough of the sermon, stand up, go take some green bottle with your guys, forget about the babe (and babes in general for now), arrange yourself and leave the country to hustle for yourself not for her. You will surely get over this!
Always remember, NEVER TO TRUST GIRLS/WOMEN and dont put women at the centre of your life except your mother and female relatives. See except your Mother.... She is the only woman that loves you geniuely. |

Career › Re: Mechanical Engineering Or Computer Science? by na2016: 11:09am On Oct 17, 2018 |
Gauss15: I'd need a candid advice on this nairalanders. I'm a 300L mechanical engineering student but after my 200L, I noticed I was no more drawn to mechanical engineering as I'd have to do some courses I've no interest in.
So far, the only courses I've come to really like in mechanical engineering is mechanics, strength of material and machine designs. Reason being that I want to major in robotics.
I've had thoughts of switching to electrical and electronics engineering because of my interest in embedded systems. But, it'd take me back to 200l and I'd have to spend extra 2yrs in school. But I thought of borrowing some courses from Elect and then switching over to computer science as I've been into programming that it makes me drop my mechanical engineering's textbooks too often.
Because I had lost some money last year and my detachment from mechanical engineering, I had dropped from 1st class to 2.1 which stands at impeding my chance of getting a scholarship to further my studies in Robotics. I will not be able to come up to a first class unless I borrow tons of courses. Being that scholarships are highly competitive, I'm considering switching to computer science because it harbours my love for programming and electronics. I'm 25, and considering that I'd drop down to 200L as opposed to the 400l I'm heading towards, I was supposed to graduate by '20 but I'd be graduating by '21 if I change to computer science which is just a year difference. By then, I'd be 28.
Am I making the right choice? I really don't have the passion for mechanical again. I need some pieces of advice and possible outcomes of my decision. I will say remain in Mechanical Engineering since that is where your foundation is. Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Systems are all options in Mechanical Engineering that your programming skills will make you to be a sought after. Besides, I will like to tell you almost all other aspects of Mechanical Engineering now require some knowledge of Machine Learning which you have a flare for. I can tell you that even with a 2.1 in Mechanical Engineering and your programming skills, you will make it either in Nigeria or abroad. You can send me a PM, I am in the same option of ME. However, know that Computer Science is really a hot cake outside Nigeria. |

OldBeer: Prior to this Ambode saga, I have been indifferent towards Tinubu and Nigeria politics in general.
This series has really taught me a lot.
Say what you want about Tinubu, he is a man of principle. He stood for what he believed in even when it never favoured him and did not waiver.
Even when it was not attractive to be in the opposition, Tinubu was the only one there holding the fort and marking his time.
His people took note of all these and decided this man has their interest at heart. Which is why his word is almost synonymous to law.
I do not agree with his politics.
But I admire the way he worked from the bottom till here.
Yorubas, you guys should be proud You have a leader.
Unlike that useless Akpabio that betrayed us. You were making sense not until you made your last sentence. In your entire life can you or would you ever achieve what Akpabio has achieved? |

donsiqua: I Need Serious Advice On The Path To Tow
I am currently confused right now on what to do. I need advice.
I got this job that pays 200k+ a month plus a decent accommodation. Iam very good at my job and I have been planning on opening my own. As a matter of fact I have planned to start buying the equipments needed for the company by October. Although if everything goes as planned the company would begin operation by middle of next year. I also have the intention of combining my job and running the company(it's no big deal). However I ran into this sure link of getting a very high paid job abroad. The link is legit and very sure, all I have to do is accept and I will leave ASAP but my problem here is that my parents wokldolet me step out of the country cause I'm their only son. I needed the abroad job as it would boost my income and enable me achieve what I had planned. If I should follow my initial plan the company would run on a small scale. However, with the fund from the away job I could get enough money to go into full business.
Iam thinking of defying them and go ahead with the abroad plan. But one mind is telling me to hold onto my initial plan.
Please what do I do?
Ps I have already been offered the job abroad all I have to do is to accept it. And I don't have much time left.
I need sincere inputs Negative comments are welcomed too bros, dont disobey your parent and dont travel out cos of a seeming good job abroad. I am studing abroad and i know what some Nigerians living here do to survive. Follow your first plan and have your business. God bless |

BiggyB242: How do know you the highest score was 42? Friend, if you don't get as high as 45 forget it, the last time I had 4 friends who scored 42 and none were picked. Interview 60 ke, that's what they made you understand because that's where corrupt organizers can influence the score of their candidate. Those few 6 questions amount to 60 per cent which doesn't last 4 minutes, 2 out of which are current affairs question. Get your facts right. Hahahaha, let me tell u, everything I have written here are correct! The so called interview is 60 percent. When you write the CBT this year, you can confirm it from the organisers. Let me also tell you that I still have the file for CBT result of 2016. Let me tell you that rarely would you find PhD candidates that scored 45 especially in that year where all engineering students were subjected to EEE based CBT. I repeat that in a state where the highest candidate scored 42 but wasnt awarded the scholarship, goes to show you that the final decision of who gets the award isnot really based on the score or perfomance at the the CBT. |

One has to score 45 to be sure of the scholarship where the highest score in the entire state is 42? Does that really make any sense? How do you explain that? The same scholarship that you will be made to understand that the interview is 60% while the CBT is 40% yet no one gets to see the interview scores? |

I can tell you that none of those guys were awarded the scholarship. Na dem know wetin dem use to award ooo. Philipak: Hahaha... Them get beef with the state then! Funny though. We'll get through this. In 2016, I wrote too for chemical engineering, the questions flooded us were electrical engineering questions, as though, their target were electrical engineers. I got 31 in the CBT. A friend that got 30, went on to Coventry. I'm still here for return match. It is well |

And so NDDC has to fall back on the CBT to select awardee. Can you talk what you are very sure of only? How could God have gone ahead to destroy Niniveh when the Bible told us that the King and even their animals joined in the fasting to seek for God's mercy. Habaa. This is what God expects from us. I repeat, you are overly contradicting yourself and that is the reason you could just go down my post to accept a similar reasoning as mine from another person.
