I had a similar experience one night in Badagry Lagos some years ago, i closed from shop heading home from ibereko ayo ni o to age mowo but alighted at Barracks when it became obvious that they were upto something, that was after i lost my wallet to them with all the money made in shop for that day thank God my t-fare was in my hand not wallet i would have been stranded that night. It happened in a car i sat with an older man beside the driver while the woman that sat behind me continued shouting her leg oo that me and the man should adjust so i was busy lifting my butt for her to pull her leg and all these while the robbery was going on. All happened on motion. |
Since last week i have been getting sim update notification which became so annoying that i decided to go and do it. So yesterday i went to one of mtn's agent shop for the update with the mindset that its suppose to be free, i was suprised to see this guy charging #200 per sim with no objection. On my turn after manually filling a bio-data form, i was unable to do my update due to the rejection of my i.d. So i went back today with a required id with the aim of challenging the guy to the perceived extortion because i'm sure he's alraedy getting commission from mtn but to be sure of my perception, i confirmed from their customer care line that sim update is free. With this confirmation i went back today and after a successful update when am expected to pay, i called the guy outside because people were within the shop waiting for their turn. So i stated my stand to the guy and he didn't object he just said its ok with a smile and a handshake we parted ways. Its good to know your right and not act foolishly. |

Buhari's prefered candidate come 2023. |
Akon is getting old but he has paid his dues, he's been here for a while now. I've always respected him but the respect increased when i read his interview where he said he spent 1billion dollar for his Akon light up Africa project where he is providing electricity to hinterlands across Africa. In his word "for him its not about being frenzy anymore, diamond sturd, massive gold necklace and all that. He said he was moved to tears when he visited villages in Africa and saw how people were living hence his change of mind to use his resources for humanity. God bless Akon with long life and more money. |
This man must really be a Donald Trump replica in UK. Did anyone notice the vigour in which he jumped up when he was declared the winner? And also how he was reading his acceptance speech with massive force. No doubt he's vocal. I was surprised when he said by october 31st they must get Brexit by "do or die" |
Las las the new minister for labour and productivity when sworn in will restart the negotiation and the story will change completely. I pity civil servant in Nigeria. By the way, won't oga presido forward efcc chairmo's name (Magu) to the 9th assembly for confirmation this time since his enemies at the 8th assembly has lost the leadership of the house?. If Magu is confirmed as the substantial chairman.... E go sweet die as in heads will roll. E go hot gan. Meanwhile we need judicial reform to aid this ongoing fight. |

When i was an undergraduate in a fed uni, one guy happened to be my course mate, guess what? He completed 5yrs engineering course in the same sch with no reward at all. And he re-applied to my department and studied a social science course and graduated well. Spendig a total of 9yrs to acquire a B.sc of maximum of 5yrs. So deduce your required response from this guy's experience. |

Wait until you narrowly escape death and you will come back and tell us different story. |
Honestly i don't know who will win if there should be a competition for the award of the worst minister between Mohamed Bello (fct min ) and Ogbonnaya Onu (min of science and tech). |

Well! well!! well!!!, i have read all the comments on this thread, all the accusations and counter-accusations. And this is my take, there seem to be a general belief of which i'm part of too that these guys do better jobs (Togolese and Beninoise) though i don't know about the cheap price. The university i graduated from engages these guys on almost all construction projects from building to tilling and painting, be it tetfund or whatever, no matter how massive the construction, note; i'm talking of a federal uni. A friend of mine who is a student and also a professional electrician saw a 300 hostel block under construction by the school entrance and asked if the builders are Beninoise, i said yes, and asked why the question he said from the looking he could tell, remember he is a qualified electrician who must have been used to how these guys work having met them on site several times. I won't mind giving my work to them too because i want a very good job, who doesn't?. |
