Hello fellow Nairalanders, My job requires me staying in the rural area at least for now. I am from the South but I have been in the North for almost ten years of which my stay is restricted only to the North Central, I have lived in four out of the seven North Central States. My present location is the real definition of rural settlement, my previous locations in other States were towns, and cities.

Now straight to my experiences, please don't even think of basic amenities like road, drinkable water, electricity, healthcare centre, or schools, you can't even see a police station (thank me for hintting you on why Bandits operate unquestioned in most places like this), in fact nothing to show the presence of government in this Community, I am talking of a completely remote community where you don't even have good network coverage, infact to shock you, mtn coverage is not here at all, only glo, and can only be accessed in a few locations , in fact I count muself lucky to be resident in one of the few network coverage areas, at least I can stay in my room to receive and make calls, but not confidently because sometimes you leave your phone idle for hours only to discover that there hasn't been network, so often time, people can be trying to reach me for days without success, so I told my frequent callers to always drop a text whenever the can't get me via call, at least whenever network returns from straying, the message would deliver and I can notify them that am now available.

I have not even shared 5 percent of my experiences, but I will pause here for now because I know Nairalanders gets bored with very long read, so if you are interested in this story of mine, just notify me in the comment section, the response would determine if I would continue this thread. Let me go to our browsing centre to post this write up, oh, you're surprised? I am writing this in my room and there is network but we only have two places where we browse in the whole community, when I say we, I mean myself and 99% other youth who come there to do online betting.

I finally took the test successfully. Advice for those getting error feedback. Don't stress yourself just abandone it for the day and try in the mid night till the wee hours you will have a different experience. Goodluck to us Nairalanders in advance.

Dear Fellow nairalanders, I had a written agreement with a man (Rtd Air Force and a farmer) in September 2020 to transfer the ownership of my business to him since I got another job that warranted my relocation to another State. The total amount of equipment in the shop was #130, 000 after I removed the most expensive gadjets from the shop leaving the basics that is needed to run the shop. Almost 6 months gone now and all I have collected from him is 40, 000 which he paid twice 20, 20 remaining #90, 000. I was expecting to get paid 2days ago being the end of January since he has said he will be paying per month, only for me to call him to hear stories of his pregnant wife would deliver this month and pleading that I wait till February ending. At this point I felt disappointed and since he is somebody I respect so much I found it hard to verbally express my feelings so I sent him a text where I stated my disappointment and how I have plans for the money and he should be considerate.
His response was surprising which is why I am seeking advice here. He said he was disappointed to takeover the shop from me too that he hasn't gotten anything from it since I handed it over, meanwhile he locked up the shop since September only to open in last week of December, how is that my business? Now, involving police might even be counter productive because the police respects him there being a former force man and we are talking about a developing Town and not a City where he may find it hard to influence anyone. Pls which option do I adopt to get my 90k from this man, thank you.

This year makes it three years that I have been a graduate. I didn't bother to look for job and told my Parents not to bother about looking for one for me.
Business is what I wanted to do and I am priviledged to be a barbing salon owner and a playstation business owner. I also do part time teaching in a private School so as not to completely make my Certificate useless. Planning to launch another business next year. This part of the North is a land full of opportunities for a visionary enterpreneur. The truth is, I came here as a Corp member.

This your story reminds me of a customer of mine that resigned from one of the leading banks in Nigeria after almost ten years he finally resigned to start his personal business. He told me that the job isn't that lucrative like before ever since 2015 or so that commissioning was introduced I.e you get paid by what you make per month.Also that it doesn't give room for personal growth, you can't further in academics because you won't even have time. I just wished him well.

As for me, i really thank God because even when school was on, i was doing my barbing business with play station business and was only using part time teaching as a mere support. But since covid 19 crisis, the only difference is that i don't have to go out of my compound to teach any pupil because some of the few ones that live around my house comes to my house for tutoring every monday to thursday and when am through with them most time around 1pm, i go to my shop and spend the rest of the day there. The home tutoring gives me more than my regular salary. I think i am one of the most favoured during this pandemic.

@ clubkonnect, i sold 2gig mtn data since morning and till now its yet to deliver and the most annoying part is that the refund link is irresponsive. Pls attend to this as a matter of urgency.
