Elpieda:
So as all of you have finished bashing and cursing each other, what good has that done and how many of those who have gone have been resurrected? None, Exactly, Your are trying to find solutions to a major issue by creating more problems, Here are people complaining about the Northerners but the words I see some people throwing out on this forum is equally as bad as the killings going on, None of you here have offered any constructive solutions. Just anger hatred and disgust, In the coming days, life will go on and guess what, nothing absolute nothing will be achieved. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth is not the answer. The problem with Nigerians is Nigerians themselves. You complain about everything and anything but yet none of your complaints are bringing any solutions. I dont know the solution to save this country. All I can do is keep praying and working on people to change their backward mentality.

May God help Nigerians,
Let them lols, Continue talking about divide, split, Natonal confrence, SS will not go with SE, SW will go on its own bla bla bla.

They dont provide any solution given the current situation, jus insults from behind their computer screens cheesy cheesy . And yet these are Nigerias supposed educated ones ? cheesy cheesy cheesy

to those who believe cpc won. You claim rivers, bayelsa and enugu was rigged. Una silly oh. The president is from bayelsa, his wife is from rivers state. And the entire south east hates buhari. Even if you where giving all the votes in these states, it still wudnt be enough. He lost by 10million votes remember.

I wonder why someone who did not campaign in the SS and SE expected to do well. Na thief all of una be.

Go to court and lose again. Confuse people cult.
10 million votes = inflated PDP numbers

37% Edo turnout

70% Delta turnout

Please explain this. Are they not both Neigbour SS/SE states? Take off your tinted glasses and go study the data. How can Delta state have double turnout? cheesy

This is just one example. Before even an explnation of how GEJ got 45% in Jigawa etc etc.
PoliticsRe: How Presidential Poll Was Rigged -acn : Warns Against Repeat by Nadanbata: 2:58am On Apr 22, 2011
‘’It is also instructive that even though Edo State is in the South-south, the turnout was only 37%, apparently since the state was not believed - by the figure cooks - to be sympathetic to President Jonathan, being controlled by the ACN.

so Edo state is 37% turnout cheesy  But neigbouring Delta state is 70% turnout ?  cheesy

PDP = Rig Rig Rig

Beaf, you should also be amused at the “stuck on you” mantra of your President GEJ, because he shares this notion of one Nigeria with most well meaning Nigerians. I predict that GEJ will not convene any National Conference which you say everybody wants.

I hope to one day hear you condemn the terrorist acts of groups such as MEND, who have been proved to be responsible for kidnapping of innocent Nigerians and foreign nationals, killing of innocent Nigerians, bombings, bunkering, and other atrocious acts, with the same zeal with which you condemn disenfranchised Northerners who are protesting recent massive and unnecessary riggings .

While you are at it, use your Jomo Gbomo email account to warn the President that if he does not convene a national conference within weeks, you all will unleash unprecedented amount of terror upon the country. olodo
lmao Beaf's boy GEJ. He promised Beaf a National Confrence if his village voted 99% GEJ guess he got that. Tell him sharp sharp confrence we Hausawa want to leave cheesy cheesy

I see your true self has come out. Only an animal would be proud of a pack of mass murderers.
Right now, the country is under GEJ and is about to leaps in development. Right now you people are an impediment, with your elite talking zoning crap and your almajiri's rioting like fools.
Nobody else lives in that animal World, so guess whats gonna happen. You will be sidelined in the affairs of the country, core-Northern opinion on issues like true federalism and a national conference really wouldn't matter. Accept your new World of irrelevance. lol
Lets us be irrelvant in politics if the country goes into development like you and your boy GEJ says.
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by Nadanbata: 7:07pm On Apr 21, 2011
@ Beaf like i said go and campaign for secession in your village see if your brother GEJ wont come and arrest you.

With respect to 'National Conference' yes of course ideal world this would happen. Until you remove the elites this will never ever happen though, nor will a split ever happen unless for civil war. SO all your good talking about do this and that is AIR.

If you want civil war arm yourself and gather your supporters mek you way to Arewa mek u come take on our Almajari  cheesy cheesy
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by Nadanbata: 6:58pm On Apr 21, 2011
@ iwonbaoko

For the record. I dont really care wether a split happens or not. My issue is people should speak practically on how a split would occur given the situation. For me its not by force but your people seem to be enjoying acess to Arewa (North) rather than stay SS/SE huh?
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by Nadanbata: 6:30pm On Apr 21, 2011
@ndu_chucks

See how quick Western leaders where to congratulate GEJ? They are part of the enemy as well. They are happy with Nigeria as it is just like GEJ and the rest of the PDP elites. For shell has looted and polluted in the DELTA for years. Zero Development in the region.

Then you have people like 'Beaf' saying its Dan Fodios fault when he aint the chief in your village. What have your leaders been saying about the looting and polluting in the Delta? Nothing, ca they getting a slice of the cake. The only time they care is when they need support for election lols (which they will RIG anyway using that OIL money)  cheesy cheesy cheesy

Just look at Venezula where they dont allow the US to dictate to its people how they should be run. With their OIL. They using it fot the better of the nations. Doubt Obama would congratulate Chavez on election victory cheesy cheesy cheesy USA enemies are those who they cant dictate to and exploit. AKA Iran, Venezula, Syra, Cuba etc etc

Its much deeper than what you see at the surface but there no point dicussing with people that wear ethnic/religous tinted glasses.

Hausa-Fulani is not leaving anytime soon, nor threatening to leave. You should be worried about your own people who would be promptly crushed by federal forces under GEJ's control, once you start talking about spliting the country in any serious manner.
Correct. Let us see him come with SS/SE will never elect an Isalmist Notherner bla bla. When Ijaw man (GEJ) sends the army with shoot on sight policy.
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by Nadanbata: 6:18pm On Apr 21, 2011
@ Reference

If you see North as the problem you are facing in your own village. Why aint your leaders fighting for your position and secession from Nigeriahuh Or is it another Northener running things in your domain?

Why arent your governors preforming well for your people? Or is it Dan Fodio who proclaim Jihad if you provide jobs/security ect etc for your people?
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by Nadanbata: 6:08pm On Apr 21, 2011
@ Beaf Gather Gathere support and Go start demonstration in Rivers state calling for seperation see if your own Chief brother wont come and put you down. He's "eating" from Naija whys he gonna secede for ?

No Point in people saying split split without offering solutions how it will be practically done given the current state of affairs,
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by Nadanbata: 5:59pm On Apr 21, 2011
ndu_chucks:
We'd be better off restructuring the government - true federalism, state rights, weaker center, e.t.c. are much better options than spliting. Besides, there is no political will to split -  federal forces will deal with any group who is seriously trying to split the country at the moment. You people will split only when the USA and China believes that the split will not affect the flow of oil to their countries, it is impractical at this point in time.
This is my point. Theres no point talking about splitting, sharing, allocating. All that is useless dreaming. The reality on the ground is Nigeria is here to stay. Nigeria as it is serves the elites purpose for they do not feel the hardship as ordinary Nigerians do. Kick out the elites we will progress.

I have said many times the only way to split is 1) Civil War 2) Good leaders enter discussion

1) will send us back 50 years
2) Bad leaders will never talk about splitting, when you get good leaders there will be no reason to split becuase they will do good for Naija.

No point wasting your time dreaming about YorubaLand or IgboLand. Go start rebellion in your own area see if your chief dont send in the army with shoot on site policy.

I too smell something fishy happened in SW, with what Ribadu taking OSUN. Maybe ACN didnt mobilise for him to keep from taking votes from GEJ? Cause taking Osun showed me ACN could have swept SW.

In the North these Governor elections are crucial, Need to kick out some PDP however im not sure how much campaign CPC have done. More importantly the General needs to stay as figure head.

N/SW can break PDP come 2015 if they make the deals. 99% turnout SS/SE wont save PDP.

Failing democracy though = Civil war for the revolution we need lols.

I thought it was a myth but a friend confirmed it. He lives in the North so its not "dem say."

Anyways would it be possible for me to marry hausa babe. Man the hausa girls are fine ooh, I used to have a crush on one of them when I was kid at 13, the chick was also 1 but she got married like 6 months after grin. Whatever c'est la vive. But yeah assuming their are some unmarried hausa girls of my age (quite unlikely) would they have a problem dating a non-hausa?

Thats another alternate perspective I am interested in. Inter-ethnic marriage and the Hausa issue with it.
Loool if you got money and ride in Honda then sure why not. If the Hausa girl is in Abuja or Lag lols. But you cant be rolling to no 'mallams' house seeking his daughter for marry cheesy cheesy cheesy Maybe if you convert to Islam and buy him a set of Cows though we can start discussion cheesy

read the article by sanusi. he mentions that the british intentionally banned education in the north.
i think hausas themselves also, because they rejected christianity, caused the lack of western education which came mostly through missionaries.

to this day, I think there is a fierce resistance against Christianity.
I always used to believe that the conflict between north and south is mostly ethnic rather than religious but really ethnicity, culture and religion are intertwined.

i'm not hausa so I guess nadanbata can reply to correct my post and contribute his opinion as well.
Lol na theres no 'fierce' resistance to Christianty, Islam is the religon it will not change haha.

One thing however that I will not accept is the fact that some people think that Southern leaders havent conspired with Northern Leaders to keep Naija backwards. If you cant get over this hurdle theres no point having a discussion.
[/b]

The issue is that southern masses have not taken up arms  to kill northerners when events in Nigeria that didnt favor their position occured. It seems that you are sounding apologetic for  folks who are killing because PDP won. I'm not a fan of PDP, but u cannot wake up  this year blame all the problems we have today on PDP while  northerners had been in power for about 38 years. It was Abdul Salam with IBB who imposed PDP on us, so the north is not in anyway exonerated from PDP's bad governance nay Nigeria's bad leadership in which the north held sway for 38years.
Im not apologetic. Killing innocents is wrong. But you have to look at the root cause is it really Hausa Detest Christians like some people on Nairaland think? Or is there some other reasoning?

This issue is a product of Naijas faliure as a state. Just like Armed Robbers are just like Area Boys are. These are misinformed, uneducated youth. However the ones doing the actual killing are very very small in number.

Well actually I can blame PDP for they have done nothing in 12 years of power. Expect steal from the states coffers. Northerners and Southerners are both part of this Dictatorship.

This is boring as shiit when is the name calling going to begin? Man Beaf and Igbo guys you don fall my hand ooh, I expected you guys to spice up this boring thread

Anyways @ the random Hausa guy

I heard the Hausa has a "born to rule mentality" and they believe that Aso Rock is their birthright

Why is that so?

Infact I was just talking to my friend about it- he is doing his NYSC and was an election officer during the elections in the North. He is scared as shiite for his life. urrently, he is now running for his life  angry.Infact prior to the elections he was teaching in a school in the North and telling me how uninterested the kids are in school.  I told him that when he was in lagos he should by lots of "egba (cane)" and beat the shiite out of those kids. But he told me he was not ready to die yet.

What are your thoughts on this matter? Why are you guys disinterested in education?

In every school I attended in Nigeria the bottom of the class was solidly composed of Hausa, the middle of the class Igbo with some sharing the bottom with hausa and the top students of the class Yoruba.

Do you have a reason for this? Culture?
"born to rule mentality" is a myth. Maybe you believe in it? But i dont lols.

disinterested in education is a myth to. What Almajari will say no to good schooling given the opportuniy ?

With regards to your last point I dont know, maybe its jus genetic for Hausawa to be dumb ?  tongue tongue White man did tell us we have lower IQ's maybe we are blacker than your lot  cheesy cheesy

To me the issue is not wether to split or not. For its is tottally impossible to split before we get Good Leaders and a working government. Unless your talking civil war option which will takes us back 50 years.

I seriously think talking about split is waste of time because it wont happen. We should focus on getting an opposition that can give us the changes we desire. PDP is not the answer regardless of ethnicity. I hope CPC remains as an active party for these elections have shown me PDP's dictatroship can be broken and will be soon.

Going by the above statement, are corp members enemies or members of PDP? Do  your so called common enemies reside in churches and shops owned by southerners?
How about the fact that Northerners controlled power in Nigerian for about 38 years and these rioters never considered those in power their common enemy? What do you have to say  about the same PDP that rigged Yar'dua into office by manipulating election results in 2007? What do you have to say  about  some northern governors who are ANPP members , yet they are as corrupt as PDP governors and we dont see these rioters demonstrating against them? What do you have to say about   IBB, a northerner who cancelled  1993 elections in which a southerner -MKO won? What do you have to say about   MKO who  died  while in custody when a northerner- Abacha was the head of state?

Where was northern outrage when these events occured in Nigeria?

Same as Nigerians really but worse in some cases. Lack of education, zero opportunity, terrible healthcare, zero security. Lack of electricty has killed of all manufacturing, Agricultue sector is shocking, Roads are shocking. Thats why when you come North you see Boys and Men "a bakin titi" (by the roadside) chilling.

This what makes me laugh when i hear people saying 'they' (Hausa) have taken our money and what not. For 'they' is a select few of individuals who include most of Nigerias ethnicities but yet they want to say its Hausa man fault when your own chief dey steal from the pot to! You think if Hausa go your chief wont continue to steal from the pot? Or is it you want more for him and zero for our chiefs ?  cheesy cheesy

Southern Chritians are cool of course have many of them as friends. Somebody ask me where im from I give same answer as them. Thats where i learn my small small pidegon English from wink wink . Ethnicity is used to hold us back as a nation, but us educated ones know thats not an issue but the problem is theres millions of our brothers who arent so lucky to know that due to the state that the country is in.

I'm starting to think that the elites are not really the problem. They are a symptom of the disease, not the disease itself. If these elites are defeated, new elites will rise up to take their spots.

It is Animal Farm-type sh1t.

The elites are not the problem, the system is. The British for the most part designed Nigeria properly. Three independent states meeting together at the middle in a weak federation. Unfortunately, the mistake they made is that they did not go far enough. They simply should have granted independence to three separate nations rather than one. Independent nations is the correct model for Nigeria, not the current setup.
Bro I understand what you are saying, But we have to work with what we have now. Splitting is impossible who will let the split happen? The only way a split could happen is 1) Civil war 2) GOOD leaders grant it.

In the case of 1) I doubt that will happen. When 2) happens Naijas problems will be solved and all that decentralize stuff will be implemented and there would be no reason for a split anyway.

Do you understand what im saying ? The elites will never ever let there be a split peacfully so we might as well work with what we have. Stop with the ethnic rubbish, Analyse these elections, create an opposition campaign and lobby the people, they dont do what they said vote them out. No more rigging of our elections, espicially Governor elections for they are the key to sucess in each little piece of the jigsaw called Nigeria.

Yes, after ruling the country for 38 years most are bound to be Hausa or Fulani. Your PDP excuse is very lame and annoying and only goes to show that you prefer to live in denial of the facts that are as obvious as daylight. Are Southern youth corpers PDP people, or are churches PDP members?
There is a culture of murder and arson in Northern Nigeria that needs to be put down with equal or overwhelming violence; the tradition of murdering Southerners must stop.

For your information, PDP was formed mainly by Northern elite, so why not kill yourselves up there when the thirst for blood arises and leave it at that? Why kill Southerners and the children they have suffered to bring up with love and sacrifice? I feel so angry.
Everbody has their point of view, If you feel common Almajari is the reason theres no developemnt in your village so be it. If you think its an Hausa mans blood to kill so be it. If you think its solely Islam that kills so be it. If you think Its the Emirs that run SS/SE so be it.

@Nadanbata:

1. I don't want to spend too much time debating the merits of splitting for reasons X, Y, and Z. Long story short, if the constituent components of Nigeria feel the need to part ways, they don't really owe anyone an explanation for their feelings.
2. I believe in taking large problems and breaking them down into smaller, more manageable chunks. There is no economy of scale, greater efficiency we get from being one country. Nothing is really gained. It is really just a game for sharing the Niger Delta's oil wealth, really.
3. Already, Nigeria has been logically split up into 6 zones. At least in theory (ignoring oil wealth, the glue that binds the country together), I don't see why Zone A should be able to block Zone B from leaving Nigeria, if they so desire. Territorial integrity is important. . . but the current system is not working, and needs to be revisited. Really, if there was no money at stake, we'd all have split up already.
1) still have not answered the need
2) lol thats why we appoint governors who get allocated money to put in the work in their own region. But they are corruput. Just cause you name it Yorubaland dont mean anything if the same people are heading tings. I agree things need to be decentralized but you need good leaders to do so, splitting doesnt make them appear like that.
3) Bros all that HausaLand and YorubaLand stuff was centuries ago, we are now Nigeria and have to live with the laws and consitution now. not then. Theres only the terrotial integrity of Nigeria. All that Business in Lagos is done under the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a Yoruba man is just as Nigerian as a Hausa man. Thats the cold facts bros.

I agree if there was no money the elites wouldnt have an intrest in keeping Nigeria one. But the fact is there is one and they want to loot and keep the money for themselves. So they will keep us by force Igbo elite wont give two shits if his people want to leave same as Hausa and Yoruba cuase they are enjoying. We need focus on how we overturn them instead of blame ethnicity in Nigerias problems.

For the record I dont mind splitting but they wont let it nor will it change anything, for our problem is leaders of Arewa (North) not Igbo or Yoruba people.

You can never claim to be serious in sorting out this countries problems if you don't address some basic and natural inequites such as depriving the Niger Delta of their oil in the name of federal ownership, lopsided creation of states and local government to favour the north, and the criminal falsification of the census to diminish one tribe against the others. The list goes on, and on.
That 'favouring' of the North is it not carried out by the PDP Elites of Nigeria? Or are you saying the Elites are only Hausa. For i dont see no Aboki as governor of Rivers state. Since 1999 Was it Not Obasanjo as president and now GEJ ? or are they secretley Hausawa?

-List your reasons for splitting the country please.

-Sorting out the problem Collectively is better because as we are now we have all the resources, man power, brains to make us the the real beacon of Africa.

- With regards to splitting what if we CANT agree or half dont want to split? Igbo man can say to Yoruba man "No i dont recgonise Yorubaland I want Nigeria" And Nigeria is what is recgonised for everything. or If all the Hausas vote for seperation but Southeners say no, will that cause friction ? etc etc ill say again its not abracadabra just cause Yoruba may want to go doesnt mean you can any time you want for if the rest dont agree theres a problem.
