The decision to keep trying up to six times or more is the decision of an individual and that individual’s alone to make. Nobody can recommend people keep trying things that have not worked out for them. Canada is not for everyone. Rather, I will advice that people learn to discern God’s will for their lives, whether it is in Canada or Nigeria. Some people’s success is in Nigeria, some people’s success is in Canada. The quicker we are to discern this, the better we are. Going to Canada does not guaranty success.

You mentioned Canada as a great place to live. Have you lived in Canada to know this for sure? It’s the same notion people who have never lived in America often draw in saying America is a great place to live. Well I tell you what. These places are hard places to live. There is a lot of demand placed on work and personal achievement which often comes at the detriment of personal relationship and one’s health. Long after the battle for a visa we are stressing about here and having high bp is over, you will find that their are greater and more fiercer battles that await you on the other side for those who make it. I have seen a lot of people from Africa in these two places (lived in many parts of the USA and a state walking distance to Canada) who are today roaming the streets aimlessly. Some on drugs and others for no fault of their own, fallen on hard times. I had a high school mate who came only to meet his premature death. Everyone must ask himself and listen to his gut instincts and pray for God’s will and know when to call it quits with this Canadian thing if it’s not working. Nigeria too can be a great place for some people. The line can fall in pleasant places for some people in Nigeria too, even more than Canada. Know and seek God’s will for your life, not trying for Canada visa open-endedly to ad-infinitum. Endless rejections might be God’s way of saying its not your place or I have a better future for you in Nigeria. There are virtues in not quiting I agree. There are virtues too in knowing when to call it quits if it does not work out.

As you plan for Canada or elsewhere, plan for Nigeria too. Some people make the mistake of trying and trying for Canada and not seeking God’s will for them whether it is in Nigeria and when they don’t get into Canada, they are no good to Nigeria because they put all their resources and time in the wrong place.

Best wishes.
Winners don't quit and quitters never win does not apply in all situations. The individual should know when to keep on fighting and when its time to just move on. You have spoken very well. Enough said.

Sorry I checked their website thoroughly I didn't see such law, so i think you are good.
Yeah, someone just told me there is no law like that except for visitors. Thanks bro.

On a 2nd thought I thought the rule states that you should ensure you have at least 6 months validity in the country of your residence before applying especially if you are not a Permanent Resident or citizen of such country? Or has your application process passed 6 months?
There is a law like that? Never knew. I submitted last month.

You can submit your passport in Nigeria or send it to UK via DHS from Nigeria and update your address after sending. My friend did the later some years back.

As per whether to renew UK visa it's your call, I know how it feels, if you have submitted medical (not upfront) then it's almost certain.
WOW, I can submit my passport in Nigeria. I will confirm from VFS London, thanks boss.

It’s peak season at crunch time, what do you expect? In just four weeks is resumption. However, what gives me pause is the level of bp induced madness people are going through. Please take it easy ooh people, this ain’t heaven. It ain’t do or die, you can still have a triumphant life without Canada. Just do your best and leave everything to God. This will help put things in perspective.
Boss, my BP can never go high just that my case is peculiar and I am praying to God for a decision before Monday next week. My UK student visa expires on the 21st. When I get my Canada application approved, I still need to submit my passport to VFS and get it back before 21st (it could take about a week to get passport stamped. I need to leave uk on or before 21st or I would be banned from UK.

Another alternative is to renew my UK visa via masters route (already have masters admission in UK) but I have to pay a non refundable deposit of £3,500 for school fees + £150 (iHS fees) + application fee. if I take this route, UKVI would be with my passport for 15 days or I apply for priority (5 days, cost about £500 upwards) or same day visa processing (premium service) which costs about £700. If I decide to take this route and my Canada application gets approved, I would have given UK almost 2M free.

So the question on my mind all week has been , should I pack my load from UK with faith believing I will get the Canada visa or I renew my UK visa with almost 2M?

Even if I apply faith, pack my load and leave UK, I still need to submit my passport when my Canada application is approved. How will I send my passport over from Nigeria to UK and then to VFS and then collect it back (I have to physically collect it or authorise someone to do this)? Canada school resumes sept 4th.

I wish I can take these guys to court, processing time says 1 week from UK, now I am stuck. It is 5 weeks already.

Good day Naija,

Did you witness the change in status as well, was your eligibility changed ,I noticed mine changed from reviewing bank to processing.
No change. Eligibility review (since last week Friday) and background processing still ongoing. I checked just 1 minute ago.

This is perfect spot before a decision is delivered and you will be getting a decision very soon. Once background check changes from processing to not applicable to processing again and eligibility review started, a decision is in the offings.
Thank you.

Good Evening house. I applied for study permit 4th April, got delayed 29th May. I decided to reapply cos of the generic reasons stated as insufficient funds.
I reapplied 13th of June, but just out of curiosity, I decided to order my gcms to see why I was rejected. Please find them attached.
The recent lump sum the VO is referring to is matured TB that entered the account, also it was reinvested immediately so it left the account again.
My dad is my sponsor. He does contracts and he is a retired Finance Manager from a construction company. (Retired 3 years ago)
In his avidavit of support he stated he gets money from contracts, haulage (truck particulars and insurance were submitted also) housing rents, share dividends, he also submitted his CAC documents, tax clearance certificate, TIN and C of O of his houses and their approved drawing plans.
But from the VO’s perspective he has little idea what my dad does. Please Jnyuwa02, Mcobex, Frankbonn, all the attorneys and gurus, please help me analyze this note and suggest a better route to follow in case my current application doesn’t run through. Thank you
what do you mean by "in case my current application does not run through"

You are already thinking another delay with your current application? bruv be positive, it will turn out well.

Well guys , it has been fun while it lasted ... My application was refused ...

I applied on July 19.. Paper route..

These are the reasons for my refusal:

You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this
decision, I considered several factors, including:

*** purpose of visit
*** employment prospects in country of residence
*** current employment situation

Other reasons:

*** Upon a complete review of the application, previous academic and employment history and the
reasonableness of undertaking the proposed studies in Canada, I am not satisfied you are a bona
fide student & would depart Canada at end of authorized stay

Good luck to you guys.
Sorry about that bro, God’s will be done no matter how long it takes.

Did you apply in Dubai?

This Canada visa ehn... please I want to know what happens when Visa comes late (maybe a week after resumption? Does this even happen? Or what happens when visa comes and school says it is too late for enrolment?

Some people have even passed background check and they are on eligibility review for weeks, some have been on background check for weeks as well...

Cos if this is the 1st June applicant receiving a response (according to you), I honestly don’t know what to say for people who applied in July for fall. This is serious.

I think the Canadian VO in these European countries are very strict. I was also denied outside Nigeria within two weeks of application. The VO didn’t even take money inside my sponsors account into consideration, he only calculated the money inside my personal account and labelled it insufficient funds.

I wonder a times if these people carefully go through our applications.

Don’t be scared bro, you will get your visa by the Grace of God.

@Wheyme, please kindly order for your GCMS Note before you reapply. It shal all end in praise.

The paper work they do plays an important role in the final decision.
It is written on their website that they do not have any role to play in the issuance of visa. I mean everyone knows this.

Goodmorning House!

This Canada visa process gets tiring by the day. As much as I try not to let it get more than the thought it deserves, I cant help but still worry.
My app has been in process since May. Eligibility review started early June and till now no update. My CSE was replied by the Kenya Visa Office with the usually response that my app is under active review and since then nothing.

My dilemma right now is that I have a Visa interview at the German embassy by month end, and my passport is being held by the canada office. I wouldnt want to withdraw my app, but then, I also wouldnt want to miss the interview at the German embassy if Canada wouldnt grant me a visa. Its a tough call for me at this point but I think I should still give them some time before taking any steps.

So y'all June/July applicants, I think U need to take a chill pill cos May guyz are observing from a corner.
Funny thing is, both paper application and online route for canada study permit in London, you do not submit your passport.

I did paper aplication and I have my passport with me. When approval is given, they will post a letter to my house, i then submit my passport for visa.

The major issue is the fact that there is a profile one can always go check for updates. Even though it is good, it is torture (my opinion).

I think I prefer the way Uk does theirs where you don’t know anything (or see how to monitor progress) till it is approved.

It means all paperwork have been vetted and now the Commission must determine whether you meet the law’s requirement for qualification for study in Canada. They have to now determine whether you have enough money, your purpose of visit and whether you will leave Canada. Time to ratchet up your prayer life because a decision in your case is about to be made any day now. It can take as less as 24 hours and on the average 3 weeks. Me think within one week giving this is fall peak season. When did you apply? Paper or online? What are the other changes you have noticed in your application profile before this time?
Thanks so much bro. I am definitely switching back to prayer mood this night (I have been on prayer and fasting all week, God help me). I applied via paper route. This is the only major change I have noticed on my profile.

I applied July 10th.
