Whoever posts threads to the homepage writes the most awkward titles of all times. |

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. |
Jadonjack:"Ma'am"? Na Laugh is a website name. None of the people who post with this Nairaland account is female. ![]() |
Jadonjack:I don't think the lesson has been learned. People who intentionally spell words incorrectly to sound "cool," usually end up losing their ability to communicate effectively in business settings. When I look around Nairaland, I notice Nigerians have become the kings of "shorthand" writing. This wouldn't be too terrible if the "short version" was actually shorter than the correct version. In essence, people just spell as many words as possible in gibberish. e.g typing "anywaiz" instead of "anyways." Regardless of how prolific you are, constant use of incorrect alternatives WILL affect you. I'm sure you have seen the effect firsthand. You might think the HR person was being mean or petty, but in reality he made a good call. However, don't let it get you down. We live and learn (if we are willing). Good luck. ![]() |
I declare we arrange a wrestling match between them at the village square, to settle the matter. |

Nice long career. She can probably join the coaching team shortly. |
Good for her, she's doing well commercially. Although, the use of "worldwide" in the thread title is inaccurate. itunes has a category known as "World," which deals with traditional/folksy type music from outside the US. It's not a "worldwide" category, as in all albums in the world (I'm sure you can tell from the other albums in the screenshots). I'm not sure why they named that category that way, since it seems to cause this same ambiguity quite often. |
Chalatanace:How else will they get you to click the link? Nairaland has joined the click-bait army. So disappointing. |
Good job. |
Bluffly:What gains do I get in making "excuses" for them or anyone? ![]() All I've said are FACTS. FACT 1 - This is a standard, normal, everyday, routine (need more synonyms?) outfit most females were around a water destination here. FACT 2 - I'm speaking from firsthand observation and not "I hear say." Now, whether you choose to label it decent or indecent is your prerogative, but that doesn't make it "abnormal" in this society. If you walk down the street (assuming you're in Nigeria) and see a few girls in tight jeans, do you think twice about it? Most likely not. However, if that happened in Saudi Arabia, it would be a different case, and their forums would probably tag it "graphic." The point is, all societies are different, bro. It's really not that serious. |
Do you people even realize they're dressed for a water destination? (even the little girl's outfit indicates this). ![]() They're either walking to/from the beach, pool or a water park around the corner. The beach is literally on my street, and every summer, people of all ages, shapes and sizes walk down the street with their kids, dressed this way.. EVERY day. The US isn't Nigeria. Then again, even in Nigeria, I'm sure ladies wear bikinis at the beach and pools with their kids. The "holier than thou" level in Nigeria is too damn high. |
Topestbilly:If you're in Lagos, you better corner the business niche before it gets flooded. ![]() |
Lagosians need to start ordering their trekking shoes. |
How is this anyone's news? |
Wow, that's crazy. I always liked Nomoreloss ![]() Hopefully, it turns out to be a rumor. He is a great vocalist and my favorite Nomoreloss song is "Kilode" from around 2003/2004. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmh4ACB_kkQ This is a more recent performance from last year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQWIgrt1voY |

These dudes never take a day off from work, I guess. Bovi should have gone along with the game a little bit. ![]() |
