PoliticsRe: Power Supply: I Won’t Make Empty Promises To Nigerians -jonathan by namdo(m): 3:57pm On Oct 14, 2010
we always like to dwell on negativity. why not just wait and see if GEAJ improves the living standard in power/education if he wins in 2011. I bet you all will eat your negative words if this man performs. it's not about charisma, takling tough,, and all that without anything to show for it by way of better life for the masses.
If GEAJ manages to create improvements in power/education, that would be a landmark for a country bedeviled with terrible leaders that only habour thoughts of selfishness instead of national improvement.

GEAJ has national improvements in mind, i only hope the thieves in political uniforms and the other evil cabals would allow him to just do his best.
PoliticsRe: Abuja Bomb Blasts: Dokpesi Sues Sss by namdo(m): 4:25pm On Oct 12, 2010

My people until we get to the bottom of the orji>>>orji ordeal we are still gropping in the dark. who dey control the police in abia state? huh cool, my $1

PoliticsRe: This Is ARMED Mend. 48hrs Before The Explosions In Abuja. video. by namdo(m): 5:37pm On Oct 05, 2010
my fear: I hope some enemies of nigeria are not trying to help a certain willing group to take over our government and then come down heavily on Nigeria to destroy it as they did to Aghanistan, Iraq, etc in the name of saving democracy and fighting terror. We need to follow these events with carefullness and expect our leaders to use very high wisdom at this time.

the writing is on the wall. huh
PoliticsRe: Expect More Bombing, Mend Threatens by namdo(m): 5:01pm On Oct 05, 2010
una dey kill una head here. grin grin

Its a pitty. MEND is movement for the emancipation of the niger delta. It has no face. Gbomo Jomo actually means 'speaker'. there is no particular person going by that name!!!!. It is taken up by the man of the moment in the Name of MEND. Just understand this so you know how to consider this situation. If they convict Okah, he will just be another Sarowiwa.

MEND is faceless and can be used by a set of organised crime hungry individuals. think of this: anyone can send email to press or any other public domain. This does not give you a conclusion of where the mesage comes from.

don't be fooled. I believe that if they investigate properly, the origin of these acts would be known and punished. Keep this in mind.
PoliticsRe: 80 Suspected Kidnappers Arrested In Delta by namdo(m): 11:56pm On Oct 01, 2010
@Beaf>>spineless governor, he can't. has he been able to combat his fear of the opposition?
PoliticsRe: Abia To Charge Ex- Deputy Gov With Kidnapping by namdo(m): 3:00pm On Sep 30, 2010
they must pay for their crimes against the masses in Abia state, come rain, come shine. an Orji>>>>Orji ordeal making the masses to suffer. Nothing goes for nothing, period. You dey catch footballer for field ? catch the coach first.
PoliticsRe: Pdp Never Zoned Presidency -jonathan by namdo(m): 12:37pm On Sep 30, 2010
FACE IT. Who is the most un-corrupted among the presidential candidates this time? GEAJ or RIBADU, but i chose GEAJ for experience and i believe he will keep the masses close to 'chest', then later Ribadu, maybe Buhari (he could not 'finish' when he came in maybe he could have done better than those who took over power)

Bottom line: register, vote, make sure our votes are counted and results upheld. If this is done, i can bet the bad guy will not succeed in getting into aso rock this time.

GEAJ is the hope of the masses of this country- North, South, East and West. If he shows otherwise, we will also cryout. cheesy

PoliticsRe: Jonathan’s Position On Zoning Is Right –tafida ! by namdo(m): 3:06pm On Sep 29, 2010
Tafida said, “These issues are sometimes mutilated by the readers. The President did not say that there is no zoning, but what he has said is that; if you look at the constitution of the party. In 1999 it talked of zoning, but it was not specific about the president. What he also said was that when you have the position of the president emerging, then you can talk of zoning. This is not only a party requirement but that of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
----------------------------------------------------

huh is this assertion correct ? anyway zoning is not necessary in a society where there is unity and trust, in an ideal society the best candidate should win.
PoliticsRe: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by namdo(m): 2:35pm On Sep 29, 2010

PoliticsHappy Independence Day : @50 by namdo(op): 10:50am On Sep 29, 2010
Nigeria: Still standing, but standing still

As October 1 approaches, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY……………………
I have enormous tracts of land and vast volumes of water, but cannot feed myself.
So I spend $1 billion to import rice and another $2 billion on milk.
I produce rice, but don’t eat it. I have millions of cows but no milk.
I am 50, please celebrate me.
I drive the best cars in the world but have no roads,
so I crush my best brains in the caverns,
craters and crevasses they crash into daily.
I am in unending mourning,
please celebrate me.
My school has no teacher and my classroom has no roof.
I take lectures through windows and live with 15 others in one room.
All my professors have gone abroad, and the rest are awaiting visas.
I am a university graduate, but I am illiterate. I want a future,
please celebrate me.
Preventable diseases send me to hospitals without doctors, medicines or power.
All the nurses have gone abroad and the rest are waiting to go also.
I have the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world;
and future generations are dying before me. I am hopeless, hapless and helpless,
please celebrate me.
For democracy’s sake I stood all day on Election Day.
But before I could ink my thumb, results had been broadcast.
When I dared to speak out, silence was enthroned by bullets.
My leaders are my oppressors, and my policemen are my terrors.
I am ruled by men in mufti, but I am not a democracy.
I have no verve, no vote, no voice,
please celebrate me.
My youth have no past, present nor future.
So my sons in the North have become street urchins;
and his brothers in the South have become kidnappers.
My nephews die of thirst in the Sahara and his cousins drown in the Mediterranean.
My daughters walk the streets of Lagos , Abuja and Port Harcourt;
while her sisters parade the streets of Rome and Amsterdam .
I am grief-stricken,
please celebrate me.
Pen-wielding bandits have raided everything in my vaults.
They walk the land with haughty strides and fly the skies with private planes
They have looted the future of generations unborn;
and have money they cannot spend in several lifetimes,
but their brothers die of starvation. I want a kit of kindness,
please celebrate me.
I can produce anything, but import everything.
So my toothpick is made in China; my toothpaste is made in South Africa;
my salt is made in Ghana; my butter is made in Ireland;
my milk is made in Holland; my shoe is made in Italy;
my vegetable oil is made in Malaysia*** my biscuit is made in Indonesia;
my chocolate is made in Turkey and my table water made in France.
My taste is far-flung and foreign,
please celebrate me.
*** To think that Malaysia came to NIFOR in Edo State in the 70's to acquire the Palm Oil Technology
My land is dead because all the trees have been cut down;
flooding kills thousands yearly because the drainages are clogged;
my fishes are dead because the oil companies dump waste in my rivers;
my communities are vanishing into the huge yawns of gully erosion, and nothing is being done.
My very existence is uncertain and I am in the deepest depths of despondence,
please celebrate me.
I have genuine leather but choose to eat it.
So I spend billions of dollars to import fake leather.
I have four refineries, but prefer to import fuel,
so I waste more billions to import petrol. I have no security in my country,
but send troops to keep peace in another man’s land.
I have hundreds of dams, but no water.
So I drink ‘pure’ water that roils my innards.
I need a vision,
please celebrate me.
I have a million candidates craving to enter universities,
but my dungeons can only accommodate a tenth.
I have no power, but choose to flare gas,
so my people have learnt to see in the dark and stare at the glare of unclothed flares.
I am shrouded by darkness,
please celebrate me.
For my golden jubilee,
I shall spend 16 billion naira to bash around the bonfires of the banal.
So what if the majority gaze at my possessed, frenzied dance;
drenched in silent tears, as probity is enslaved in democracy’s empty cellars?
I am profligacy personified,
please celebrate me.
Why can I not simply reflect and ponder?
Does my complexion cloud the colour of my character?
Does my location limit the lengths my liberty?
Does the spirit of my conviction shackle my soul
Does my mien maim the mine of my mind?
And is failure worth celebrating?
I AM NIGERIAN, PLEASE CELEBRATE M

PoliticsRe: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by namdo(m): 3:47pm On Sep 28, 2010
IT IS ALLEGED THAT MOST OF THE KIDNAP INCIDENTS IN ABA ARE MASTERMINDED BY A CERTAIN 'POWERFUL' INDIVIDUAL FROM OBEHIE COMMUNITY IN ABIA STATE. CAN SOMEONE REVEAL HIS IDENTITY. I KNOW WE HAVE NATURAL SSS INDIVIDUALS HERE ON NAIRALAND

His name is Osisikankwu but Stone, his deputy, is behind the recent killings and kidnappings. Stone now has his own group.

WHO IS THEIR SPONSOR/S ? the answer will be interesting to know. huh cool
PoliticsRe: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by namdo(m): 1:59pm On Sep 28, 2010
Not just in Aba, the neighbouring villages around Aba are in hell. You cannot show any sign of property development or refurbishment without their agents sending signal to the kidnappers. if they can't get you, they target your parents or brothers/cousins to drag you into the sagger. it's a very very very pathetic situation in Abia state. Orji's government of that state is a total failure.

anyone who has Eguavoen's contact should ask him to read N/L for valuable criticisms and suggestions especially on our defence lineup where we have always had challenges in recent years. I think that Adeleye/Apam will make a good defensive wall for SE.
TV/MoviesRe: MTN Project Fame West Africa: Season 3 by namdo(m): 3:58pm On Sep 27, 2010
yes, i agree, it was painful seeing Tolu/Ochuko standing there without any prizes. Since they made it to the grand finale, they should have been compensated no matter by how much huh
PoliticsRe: 2011: S’east Govs Support Jonathan by namdo(m): 12:14pm On Sep 27, 2010
GEAJ, the providence. I only hope he is supported to do what he said on the day of declaration to contest since i see him as a 'not too' partisan man but a lover of the masses well-being. I hope I am not wrong here. This is of course hoping he wins the PDP primaries and then elections in 2011.  cool lipsrsealed
PoliticsRe: Don’t Be Deceived By Jonathan’s Rented Crowd - Saraki by namdo(m): 5:25pm On Sep 24, 2010
@Topsywest, , just a few i can readily remember,  grin grin grin------masses - oriented results, in just few months as leader:
- For the common man in Nigeria, there is now fuel in the filling stations. What was happening before now? You should have the answer.
- In April, two months after assuming office as acting president, Jonathan was invited by Obama to attend the nuclear security summit. After the four-day visit, aides said Jonathan had held "successful" talks with the American President.
About nine days after his return to the country, foreign affairs minister Odein Ajumogobia told reporters, that the United States had removed Nigeria from the terror list. This was considered a major achievement of the Jonathan Presidency. But there were more happy tidings to come from the US administration to a man considered by many to be a blessed Nigerian leader.
- On August 23, outgoing American ambassador to Nigeria, Robin Sanders, presented a certificate to the minister of aviation, Fidelia Njeze, granting Nigeria Category One status - the highest American safety aviation status. Nigeria had been pursuing the Category One status for three years. The certificate permits Nigerian airlines to fly directly to America and is highly coveted, as only five other African countries have it.

Good things are about to happen to us and normally we must pass through some huddles to get there and must not expect it on a platter of gold, and so if we really desire the change we all dream of then we need no pastor or native doctor to tell us our responsibility and that is to go out there and effect that change by voting wisely.

I believe more will follow when we defeat the evil-minded oppositions (my $1 cool)
PoliticsRe: Don’t Be Deceived By Jonathan’s Rented Crowd - Saraki by namdo(m): 2:45pm On Sep 24, 2010
it is not how eloquent or charismatic or , name whatever you like. It is what you can actually offer for the poor ordinary teaming masses in Nigeria to reduce or even eliminate their sufferings and hopelessness that would count. People are tired of high-sounding words without genuine intentions and actions when elected.

GEJ has shown some good examples ( i am not about great speeches but about good conscience and sincere governance- decisions in governance are not just made by the leader alone but through assistance of expert/experienced advisers). My problem with GEJ is that he is still PDP and i hope he would not lame-out when opposition intensifies from the be-deviled politicians and their selfish supporters otherwise he deserves a chance because of his masses-oriented disposition.

Ribadu is an unbiased man but needs experience in governance, I would have preferred him in 2015 after heading some government ministration positions or even being a vice president.

na my opinion, no ills.
PoliticsRe: Babangida Picks Odili As Running Mate by namdo(m): 10:54am On Sep 16, 2010
so, they both spell doom. They can only win by rigging/irregularities. Doom to their party this time because we are wiser and determined to stop them, not on pages of this forum but by physical actions. They will not win.

"My fear is that with this new common trend of a 2 year stint for the COAS, the men ushered-IN into this highly sorted and prestigious post would be toiling night and day, scheming left, right and centre, at making enough dough b4 their 2 years expires otherwise they would end up in the scrap yard and out of pocket."
, exactly my fear with this appointment. Nothing go change.
