PoliticsRe: Naira To Spiral Out Of Control by namdo(m): 4:10pm On Dec 20, 2010
Ribadu has the integrity to move naija forward but i think he needs to work in Aso rock first as maybe vice president. If I had the power i will make him a vice president first and then president in maybe 2019.
PoliticsRe: Hon. Obahiagbon Again! This Time On Pa Enahoro by namdo(m): 3:01pm On Dec 20, 2010

How about this: I see this as a veritable bugaboo which must be papoosed by all compos métis homosapien.  grin huh
PoliticsRe: Debate: Is Nigeria A Failed State? by namdo(m): 2:57pm On Dec 20, 2010
we are experiencing some problems, the nation has not failed yet. How many years did it take some western states to stand as a progressive nation?

PoliticsRe: Kalu Withdraws From Presidential Race by namdo(m): 5:34pm On Dec 16, 2010
63 oil wells? and all the roads around the oil producing villages are mainly earth roads currently despite the oil money returns to the state. Both Uzor kalu and theo Orji have all failed the state.
Remember what Osisi said in his last interview before he was captured and killed (though i have never supported his actions)? Go and see the villages within Abia state, you would see that the state is basically a glorified village with no tangible development. Aba and Umuahia were there already; and these point to the fact that the state had been grossly mis governed all these years. The state does not need people like the two Orjis period.

Uzor kalu has probably retired and places as toothless Ohaneze Ndigbo, etc is where he  might eventually find to descend into. Sorry.
PoliticsRe: Army Deploys 17,000 Soldiers For Internal Security by namdo(m): 4:55pm On Dec 16, 2010
This is what the country needs at this time. The level of indiscipline and lawlessness and criminality now requires 'strong hand' to quel therefore we need the army. I think that some of these army troops can be specially trained in the future for specific assignments like these involving dealing with civilian populace in which these criminals and hoodlums hide. they could be called SPECIAL CRISIS SQUAD but with full military traing mingled with dealing with civilians. So in cases of kidnaps, local crisis (communual) where weapons are involved, etc they could effectively serve the purpose. GEJ thumbs up for you. We are watching.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Says Violence May Be Inevitable by namdo(m): 3:58pm On Dec 16, 2010
empty threat cool If Atiku wins PDP primaries, PDP will run the presidential elections to a loss mark this. It is better for another party to emerge than for an aboki to rule this country into further abis from where we are currently. The Abokis have nothing to offer in tems of governance. they have proved this since independence.

PoliticsRe: Osisikankwu,dead? by namdo(m): 6:03pm On Dec 13, 2010
politics, intimidation and crime go together in nigeria. it would have served a better purpose if Osisi was captured alive. i think he was let go initially for this to happen. His empire would soon be anihilated because the same intelligence reports would further expose his gang.

PoliticsRe: Why Does A Country Needs To Borrow When She Can Easily Print More? by namdo(m): 3:21pm On Dec 08, 2010
if CBN prints more money, it would be looted and saved abroad grin

From my little economics book, too much money chasing too few goods/services is inflation but when much money is properly utilised to promote production in diverse areas of the economy such that exportation is encouraged and achieved, it will boost the economy and then inflation is controlled by making sure that those monies printed/borrowed out to banks are recovered at minimal interest rates. in the end it's cool but that can only happen in a disciplined society and gov't, not these ones we have at the moment.

$1 plain english. wink

LAGOS—COMBINED security operatives, yesterday, intercepted 13 containers laden with arms and ammunition including rocket launchers, catridges and hand grenades at the A P Moller Terminals in Apapa port.

Although, no arrest had been made at the time of going to press, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Marvel Akpoyibo, said the command has launched a manhunt for the owners as the Police Anti-bomb squad was busy opening the crates containing the arms.

The Apapa Area Customs Controller, CAC, Alhaji Abdulkadir Azerema said contents of the containers were not declared before they were intercepted.

The first container that was opened by the various security agencies that carried out examinations discovered the 24 crates of rocket launchers and other weapon of mass destruction.

Vanguard gathered that SSS, acting on a tip off  intercepted the containers and cordoned off the entire examination bay of A.P. Moller where the containers were to be examined.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police ordered a re-enforcement of a full unit of Police Mobile Force to beef up the security of the area until the  containers are examined.

The containers with numbers 7869612, 7827707,7868370, 7869356,7870064, 7866819,7868318, 7868771, 7866676, 9478240,7868431, 1301980 and 7869464, were suspected to have been shipped from Iran.

there could be real foreign interest trying to destroy this country using instability/terrorism as a mask on their face. I hope these enemies of nigeria are not trying to sponsor artificail confusion and use it as basis to come and restor peace and good governance by first destroying abuja, lagos, kaduna, etc. These times need careful handling. Let's think.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Rules Out Sovereign National Conference by namdo(m): 4:18pm On Oct 22, 2010
call SNC for more blood shed, infighting, confusion, etc from lame unpatriotic selfish heads? It will never work, there is so much insinsererity and mistrust as at now. That is why you can't trust any person or president to deliver the suffering masses. For me there is no need to call SNC now. What we need is strong, no nonesense leadership, enforcement of existing laws. I doubt if GEAJ would have the guts for this but i hope he would. The president has to solve his hard problem in looking for like-minded people who will listen to him and assist in their own spheres of authority in enforcing the law and carrying out genuine gov't plans. This is not an easy task  but if he succeeds in getting great patriotic minds to work with him, naija would be better off.
I know this country has been thoroughly misgoverned but we still have a chance to remain one without devolving power to regions and go back to our vomit with the problems it would bring.

PoliticsRe: Facebook President Goodluck Congratulates Uti Of Bba5 . . . by namdo(m): 2:47pm On Oct 19, 2010
i agree with what GEAJ said on facebook. he is a facebook member grin so he can post whatever he likes there. to those castigating GEAJ: did you vote him to become president? did you tell him that presidents should not have fun (even on facebook)? Can you now remove him as president? is he not a human being like you with opinons and right to admire who he choses? we could say who he admiires is favoured, so what? (if that actually means some favour).

Think less of negativities and embrace peace, kindness, love, tolerance, patience, good works, helps to the needy, etc that is the way to live in harmony and make way to bring out the best in us and cause us to move forward with great strides. cool Hate would lead you to no good.
