PoliticsRe: Nasarawa Protesters Hurl Stones At Jonathan’s Convoy by namdo(m): 2:52pm On Feb 09, 2011
Jonathan will win; not by rigging. i am not expecting him to win in all the states, otherwise the PDP is finished for real, after this i doubt if there would be another PDP president for a long while.

I believe what he said in that post - primaries speech.

Congrats GEAJ.

PoliticsRe: Jos Killings; Jama'atu Ahlus Claims Responsibility. It Is Jihad by namdo(m): 4:07pm On Dec 29, 2010
just like Ikemba had foreseen before biafra war and the subsequent Aburi Accord: If this country is to remain in peace confederation is the answer. xtians who would like to remain in these muslim areas can chose to be there knowing the long term consequences while the southerners and those who chose christianity should remain in the christian dominated areas. Each confederate state should provide maximum security for their territories/citizens.
At present, the geographical entity call nigeria is a falsehood/farce created by the colonial masters to the ultimate detriment of the people and can only be maintained in it's present state by a no-nonsense government that is totally sincere in providing security/justice/protection for it's citizens. Where can we find that kind of government at this time in naija? God help us. sad

^^^^oh nooooooo! cry sad

Gov. Peter Obi dispels rumors that Chukwuemeka Ojukwu has died.

There continues to be anxiety over the health of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the ex-leader of Biafra with some rumours circulating and saying that Ojukwu has died while others say that his heath has taken a turn for the worse. Several news outlets have reported receiving inquiries, from concerned individuals, about his health.

The Sun Newspapers quoted a source close to Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State as saying “Quote me, he’s not dead, news coming from the hospital is really encouraging and positive. The Ikemba is responding well to treatment. In fact, the worse is over. The doctors have assured that there’s no cause for alarm, at all. He is not dead.”

In a statement, the Anambra State Government said "He is responding to treatment in the United Kingdom hospital where he is being treated. Some people raised apprehension Sunday; I wish to assure them that Governor Obi speaks to doctors handling him on an hourly basis. He is responding to treatment."

Ojukwu, the Ikemba of Nnewi, suffered a stroke last week and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of the University Teaching Hospital, Enugu where he was placed on life support. He was then flown to the UK for further treatment on Thursday

PoliticsRe: Al Mustapha Freed by namdo(m): 12:11pm On Dec 22, 2010
Court frees Al-Mustapha, others – The Punch
The years after being in detention, a Lagos High Court in Tafawa Balewa Square on Tuesday discharged and acquitted a former Chief Security Officer to the late Gen Sani Abacha, Major Hamzat Al-Mustapha, and three others, who had been on trial for their alleged involvement in the attempted murder of the publisher of The Guardian newspapers, Mr. Alex Ibru.

Justice Mufutau Olokooba also set free a former Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, James Danbaba; former Zamfara State Military Administrator, Lt.- Col. Jubrin Bala Yakubu; and former Head of the Aso Rock Anti-Riot Police, Rabo Lawal.

With this development , Danbaba and Yakubu will regain their freedom as they are expected to be released from Kirikiri Prisons, Apapa, Lagos.

But Al-Mustapha and Rabo Lawal are still standing trial before Justice Moji Dada over their alleged involvement in the murder of Kudirat Abiola, the wife of late business mogul and winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief M. K. O. Abiola.
The Lagos State Government had been prosecuting Al-Mustapha, Danbaba, Yakubu and Lawal since 11 years ago over their alleged role in the attempted murder of Ibru and a former Delta State Commissioner for Sports, Mr. Isaac Porbeni.

na waaaa, i dey fear . To GEJ: I hope that there will be enough evidence to get proper justice in this particular case. God help naija. His Oga Abacha is dead, the sender and the sent are surely culpable when there are evidences towards their involvement in a crime. Our justice/legal system must not create loop holes for the guilty to escape proper judgement. lipsrsealed embarassed

ACN should go ahead and do whatever. Truth is if people would vote for GEJ in the end it will not be because of his affiliation with PDP but because of his person just as we have someone like Fashola.
