Truth be told, Edo youth are left unemployed despite presence of a number of such government offices and organizations in the State. This CANNOT be seen anywhere else in this Country. Even regarding physical development of these communities, there's nothing to point to. Thankfully, the youth have woken up and this process MUST continue. sosanova:He must be commended. It was a selfless gesture he made there. The situation is pathetic in Edo State. |
Af0nja:Not only Eastern governors, but MOST Southern governors. You can't compare. And El Rufai's projects are top-notch. Funny thing is most of the Southern States are ravaged by erosion and floods, yet many of the States do not own a single flyover or even adequate drainage systems in place. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whcAgJV6YXM The communities besieged the gate of the office as early as 7am, clad in red and were armed with placards of various inscriptions such as, “NPDC, enough is enough,” “PIB law must be adhered to strictly,” “NPDC, our protest is our right.”https://leadership.ng/50-edo-communities-barricade-npdc-over-marginalisation/

It is learnt the journalist sustained severe head injuries. |
Power-drunk Edo Lawmaker, Ephraim Anehbosele Assaults, Brutalises Journalist For Asking Him About Abandoned Road Project A viral video has shown the member representing Igueben constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Ephraim Aluebhosele, physically assaulting a journalist with Naija Watch, Leftist Aimuaewonso. The assault happened while the journalist was interviewing the lawmaker to find out the action being taken to fix an abandoned road in his constituency. Aluebhosele, however, got angry during the interview, descending on Aimuaewonso with punches and kicks. SaharaReporters learnt that the journalist sustained varying degrees of injury after the attack and assault by the lawmaker and some of his aides. “You, you’re being sent by someone to malign the government or the member representing the constituency. Be fair in your reporting, don’t do yellow journalism. You are from Benin,” the lawmaker said. He accused the journalist of inciting the public against the government before he and his aides physically assaulted him. “Where are you from in Benin? And so f****** what? They sponsored you to come and fight us. I’m talking to you, you are telling me rubbish. Who are you? Wetin you come do you (What did you come to do)? Who carry you come here (Who brought you here)? Who sent you here,” the lawmaker was heard saying while brutalising and physically assaulting the journalist. Known to be a violent person, Aluebhosele was one of the nine lawmakers who illegally impeached the then Assembly Speaker, Francis Okiye from office. He also moved a motion to nominate the new speaker. In 2019, Aluebhosele caused a stir online after photos of him at the House inauguration wearing shorts went viral. https://saharareporters.com/2022/07/03/power-drunk-edo-lawmaker-ephraim-anehbosele-assaults-brutalises-journalist-asking-him |
Elliotwaveforec:Nice. The bearish correction would likely end early first quarter of next year. That daily pinbar is just the commencement of a Pullback. If anyone intends to trade gold, go short from a key area of value at the end of this Pullback (around 1900; depending on your entry strategy) and aim for TP at around 1600. But it's going to be a rollercoaster ride downward. |
Tinubu already has enough baggage he'd have to reward/compensate one way or another in the likes of Akpabio, Amosun, Mrs Uju and co. With the average sentimental disposition of your typical politician, he'd not look the way of someone who stepped down for Osinbajo. |
JASONjnr:You further strengthened his point. How would they survive in the typical Nigerian environment with lack of basic infrastructure to start with? |
LOL Nigeria and clownery! |
We go call this one cowardice abi Wetin? |
oneman11:A very calm, simple personality with a great sense of humour. |
Rest in Perfect Peace Father Vitus |
This is good. |
Who be this unintelligent fellow? |
This shows how this country has been run in the last 7 years |
Joezinho:No be cult my brother. I never see any State like Edo State. It's Union o! A group of people will form a union and start making life unbearable for one another. What these physically-challenged persons did to their fellow person is a depiction of the activities of most of the plethora of unions in the State. And they don't spare the general public. Pepper Seller - Union Crayfish - Union Meat - Union (They don't weigh beef, union rule is you use your eye to measure and cut it )Maggi - Union The prices of goods are at least x3 compared to other States. So these physically-challenged street beggars have formed union in order to 'step up their game'. There have been multiple pleas and cries to the governor about this madness, but for where? |
I hope this is Not true |
But Op, a SE aspirant, Mrs Uju stepped down for Tinubu also |
Of course. It was obvious and even seemed ridiculous when they were all throwing in their hats a few weeks ago. But that won't make much impact on the outcome |
The only candidate wey make sense |
Expected |
Past presidents are addressed as 'President'. Well, effects of a dysfunctional educational system |
Alphagan:As long as Southerners allow themselves to be misled by misfits who prioritize selfish gains rather than look out for the people, have no ideology whatsoever, the average Southerner would be a 2nd class citizen in this country. Hard truth! I'm from the Midwest (paternal) and partly from the North. Born and raised in the North. Presently been in the South for just a few years and I clearly see the difference. Only a very few have the interest of their people and party at heart an example is Wike. Another is Aketi. |
Osinbajo would be the strongest contender against Atiku. No doubt. But when Atiku picks a S'Eastern vice, there'd be a problem. Except Osinbajo also picks a S'Eastern vice and the South rallies behind as he would garner some votes from the North. Guys should also understand Atiku is not a 'favorite' to electorates in the North also. Golan007:Another strong one. |
helinues:The vice would most likely be from the SouthEast. Persons like Anyim Pius Anyim. It's politics which the South is yet to learn. |
For the sake of peace, APC ticket would be given to either Tinubu or Osinbajo (depending on what plays out during the primaries). But ultimately, the next president is the one who emerged yesterday at the PDP primaries. |
Atiku picking a South Eastern Vice would put the APC in a dilemma. The strongest APC aspirants are Osinbajo and Tinubu. Remember, there is no party ideology, but a strong regional (Northern) ideology. Even if a Southerner 'wins' the APC ticket, Northern proponents in the APC would back Atiku, the S'East with a vice slot would back Atiku. PDP South would back Atiku. Hmmmm |
This is so because, with the Emegance of Atiku Abubakar as the PDP standard bearer, Rabiu Kwankwaso for NNPP and Ahmed Lawan for APC the northern votes comes next year will be shared among the three northern contenders for Aso Rock.Northerners are not like Southerners. The North would resolve to support one candidate. Just look at the threads all over Nairaland, despite clear writings on the wall, the so-called S'therners are busy fighting one another 'on this one's mandate, on that one's mandate'. Dem go get sense by force. Till 2031 |
Till 2031 For now, forget about any meaningful constitutional review not to talk of restructuring. |
OmoManU:Depends on who the APC fields. |
Slynation:A lot of folks here still cannot understand this fact you just stated. |
The North continues its rule for 8 more years from what's going on at the PDP Presidential Primaries. This is irrespective of the individual (Atiku), whether he's a favorite or not to the Northerners. Even if APC fields any Southerner, he would lose as Southern votes are already divided. If Nigerians get small sense, massive votes should be given to a relatively less popular candidate in any other party. |
