And the character was busy claiming APC had done tremendously well. |
UCyril:Was Delta ever in the Eastern Region? Even before the term South-South was coined? Thankfully, history as a subject has been restored to the national curriculum. |
ejimatic:It's far worse in the South |
This one no be argument. Na to sponsor bill to rename am South Central, just as we have North Central. Case closed. People should seek how to develop themselves and their respective regions, instead of asking time-wasting questions upandan. |
FreeStuffsNG:The topic of the thread pertains to a fact that recruitment into public and civil service in Nigeria today is shrouded in secrecy and a nauseating level of corruption. There would definitely be isolated cases of individuals seeking assistance and following up as in your case, but I'm pretty sure you do not expect over 50million youth to randomly walk into these offices in the name of job seeking. If these same Nigerian youth can get jobs from foreign government agencies and corporations based on merit, without travelling to their offices for whatever reasons, we should know this country is in a terrible situation. And of course, mediocrity would be the order of the day as square pegs would be placed on round holes. |
This administration has been the worst ever in terms of open recruitments into these MDAs. Although, this dirty trend started in certain MDAs in the previous administration. That's why the youth have a very crucial role to play in voting in the right individuals, notably in the Legislature as most people tend to overlook this arm of government, thereby allowing all manner of opportunists sneak in there. At least, ensure most of these ones who only represent themselves do not return to the national assembly (and even State HOAs). |
Charlatans INEC must not give in. Any irregularity would invoke public unrest. You can imagine this gang of opportunists, intending to disenfranchise the people and their chosen representatives in order to favour this pair of terribly questionable character. |
The prank was over board and actually a punishable offence (public disturbance/misdemeanour), but remanded in prison? It seems our judiciary is replete with mediocres! |

Lies! Way more than 650m. A family friend paid 100m alone! One person! This situation is far more serious than what these guys intend to paint it. |
moscow007:Wike as a senate president would be great, as he would put them in check. Atiku and his co-conspirators would not want that. The obvious game plan in the APC and PDP is to maintain status quo. |
True That's what Nigeria desperately needs But the LP has to be more strategic in its approach. Inclusiveness Must be the watchword, ensuring key representatives of ALL sections of this country reach out to the people. |
Wike has to be vocal o. This is not a matter of his political career. He no send. As an individual, he is already made and would gladly be accepted by any political party as he is a principled individual and a performer. All the governors, including the one of my State, who ganged up against him are miles behind in terms of performance and delivery to the people. The events which took place especially during the primaries should raise valid questions regarding the subject of inclusiveness in the event the presidential election is won by the PDP. It's surprising that people who presently hold the short end of the stick are the ones castigating him. There are strong indicators which suggest what happened in the last 7 years may repeat itself. One question: If the tables were turned, do you think what happened to Wike at the primaries would have been possible? |
The best performing governor in the South |
As long as the Judiciary retains characters such as this reprehensible judge, it will remain a joke to discerning people. |
Mr. Effiong, a lawyer and an activist, is serving a one-month prison sentence for contempt of court after asking the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom, EkaetteObot, to recuse herself from a case he is handling. Mr. Femi Falana says the chief judge has refused to provide Effiong with the certified true copies of the judgment, thereby delaying his appeal process. He added that his colleague was forcefully transferred from the IKOT Ekpene prison to UyoCorrectional Centre, where he was forced to sit on the bare floor while his head was shaved together with his beard. Inaccurate headline Wike was extolling the speaker rather. He revealed to the speaker he (Wike) plotted against him, as being the opposition, but his PDP colleagues actually supported the speaker. Are people just trying to misinterpret events this period or Wetin sef? |
nuelsylves:This is the crux of the matter! As far as I'm concerned, anyone who emerged from such unprincipled, dishonourable move, in truthfulness, has nothing to offer the average Nigerian. Meanwhile, they've already shared positions amongst themselves without winning the elections yet o; Tambuwal is to be the next Senate President. |
The effect of playing politics with lives and future of your country. Around 2012, boko haram was being crushed by the Nigerian Military in the NorthEast. Many escaped and infiltrated certain cities in the NW and NC. Some began to create cells in these cities, but they were effectively neutralised by regular raids by our gallant forces. Many citizens in these towns did not know this and slept well at night while all these were going on. The next thing was a political move instigated and propelled by a desperate opposition to the then administration. Some elder forum popped up in the NE with a campaign that the military was killing their children and it was a conspiracy by the govt to kill Northerners. Ultimately, those service chiefs were removed. Not long after, the elections came. Today, we can see how these terrorists have consolidated their presence and control of significant areas in the North, holding citizens hostage in their own Country (while they infiltrate the South). As elections dey approach, who Una wan vote wey get the will to handle these terrorists? |

Sensational reporting. In that interview, the promoter explained he was later informed that Kizz's team had some technical issues, still due to the misplacement of the luggage and not specifically due to the absence of a gold chain or any form of attire. And this information was initially not made available to him and the organisers. The important thing is the promoter and Kizz's team learn lessons from these and conduct themselves more professionally in the future. |
Hmmm |
So Abu millionaire na ex convict? He has seemed to remain 'relevant', enjoying homage from various political office holders due to his criminally high nuisance value. Na this type Oshio baba like to dey carry upandan. |
Wahala say na 'Sha nono' |
There's nothing wrong in what Wike is doing. He can associate with anyone he deems fit. With these candidates, especially in the PDP and APC, Nigerians are still yet to learn anything. Despite all their meetings and declarations to produce one sellable candidate from a certain part of the Country, even those from the very same part went ahead betraying one another for selfish interests. Wike working with Atiku will not change anything about the fortunes of the average Nigerian. I wonder why the average Nigerian is bothered about who Wike works with. |
NwaMamaIwota:I wonder! |
Svoboda:In a country with no equity, fairness and justice, how would one expect any form of patriotism? The only 'patriotic' ones would be those benefitting within a particular period. |
jabbo:There are actually different routes once you get to Bauchi. One can cut off Azare and still get to Potiskum; I think this route is a little faster. But there's also a route through Azare. |
This is extremely dangerous and I wonder why Peter Obi is being discussed instead of the potential danger innocent Igbos in the north could be exposed to if reprisals should occur. These are people's relatives who felt they could live peacefully in their own country. I recall the lady killed alongside her kids the other day. As per criminal herdsmen, the onus is on the governor to sign the anti- open grazing law and enforce it. Targeting innocent people going about their business is just recipe for disaster. |
OP, the main aim should be ensuring none of the other 2 major contenders (in PDP and APC) gets the presidency. Any other person can be elected as far as I'm concerned. But what's most important is ensuring the Right People are placed in the National and State Assembly. Persons who would be True Representatives of the people, not self-centered traitors. This should be irrespective of party. Once that is put in place, every president or governor would sit up as they would be sent packing once found to be incompetent or clueless. Even without completion of first tenure, he/she can be sacked through the National Assembly. Nigerians should pay even more attention to the aspirants for the National and State Assembly slots. |
