7upnigeria: If you understand principle of governance, you'll understand the difference between Tinubu and Obi. Tinubu is a progressive while Obi is a conservative. Let me e plain better, Tinubu believes the best way to beat poverty/lack is to have ENOUGH MONEY to attend to your needs hence when you come to Lagos, he laid the foundation that you can make money FROM ANYTHING you do in Lagos, REAL ESTATE is now hot cake on the Island, even ordinary sand and granite suppliers are smiling to the bank, other associate business; engineers, house agents etc. Dangote refinery has started to work and it's just directly opposite Lekki deep seaport, I was there the other day and was just trying to imagine the number of people such massive brain work will employ in the nearest and furthest future, it's another Apapa in the making and may even become bigger than Apapa. Its d reason why TOP POLITICIANS who knows how you run an economy are lining up behind Tinubu, Eledumare will let TINUBU succeed. A conservative on the other hand is someone that believes that poverty can be defeated by NOT SPENDING MUCH of what you have with the hope that you dont run into a problem that will require you to spend much, a conservative does not think of UNIQUE WAYS to generate cash for BIG PROJECTS. That's why I always tell those supporting Obi to compare TINUBU'S ACHIEVEMENTS and OBI's ACHIEVEMENTS before we start any argument. See, even Soludo, the governor of Anambra does not support him. I THINK YOU SHOULD EDUCATE ME MORE ABOUT OBI's ACHIEVEMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE. Tinubu is spending on what? Himself and his cronies! Nigeria need people who will plug the loopholes and drains. Try cut down expenses and get the best brains to bring ingenious solutions. How I wish it was Osibanjo who got it instead of tinubu. So in your perspective, if a company is having a financial crisis, you go on a spending spree? Have you ever wondered why company downsize? What they hope to achieve?. You folks need a lot of coaching in management. A nation ought to be run like a company, with checks and balances, not like some damned charity organization. I'm done with you guys |

Gerrard59: No prominent Igbo person has stated such publicly. You should not be gaslighted with that accusation. When thrown the statement, explicitly ask for the name of the Igbo person who has PUBLICLY stated that "Lagos is no man's land". Public statement by a prominent Igbo individual, whether the person resides in Nigeria or abroad.
Two, you should stop appeasing certain people. Allow their conscience (assuming they have one) to judge them. Don't ever appease people who don't like you. No matter what you do, they will always accuse/dislike you. You've said the fact. They are past redemption |

codemaniacs: Igbos have attacked the Yorubas politically, socially, economically e.t.c.
Yorubas and igbos fought each other during the civil war..
the civil war was Yoruba vs Igbo war.
in the 1960s , nzeogwu exhibited such hatred towards Yorubas.
"According to a Nigerian Police Special Branch Report, nzeogwu executed at least 4 army and police security personnel including one of the men on his team (Sergeant Daramola Oyegoke). nzeogwu also participated in the execution of Col. Raph Shodeinde, his superior officer at the Nigerian Military Training College and is reported to have shot indiscriminately at fleeing women and children.."..
the statement above shows pure hatred for Yorubas and a lot of igbos all have this similar behavior towards Yorubas.
The igbos also tried to attack the SW but we're stopped at Ore.
Before the civil war, Nnamdi Azikwe was also fighting the Yorubas politically because he wanted to be premier of the Yoruba region.
Azikwe tried to politically get Lagos and the SW region. Ojukwu tried to use warfare to get Lagos.. Peter Obi and CRV tried politically to get Lagos.
Over 60 years and counting only Igbos have targeted and are still targeting Lagos and Yorubas.
some people on this are already shouting "Lagos will fail" just because the governor is not igbo.
must igbos subjugate Yorubas before igbos have a sense of achievement
you igbos already have Rivers state, Delta state, Anambra states yet you are more concerned about the SW, the Yorubas and who is governor of Lagos.
2 petroleum producing states with seaports and airports yet you igbos are not happy that a place called Lagos is not under igbo control .
you are sick and have serious mental problems. Sometimes I wonder how some of you think. you went down memory lo lane to dig out half truth and perception instead of realities. The Igbo supported gbadebo because he came out under labour party, EOD. if a Yoruba ran under labour party, he would have gotten similar support. And by the way, don't come at me with the notion that labour was an Igbo party. It got more I'm unalloyed support from Edo, Delta and southern than even some eastern states. It still shocks me how you folks turned against your own because he has trace of Igbo blood in him. Shit! That hatred is deep! To be honest, I even supported Osibanjo more than I supported anyone. Talking about Igbos taking over Lagos. For your information, Lagos was the seat of power and it's only natural that they overrun Lagos. In war, everything is fair. If that war was fought today, the Igbos will be matching towards Abuja which is the seat of power. In war, once your overrun your opponents headquarters, then the war is almost done. Now let's look at this, the Igbos also overan Edo state and up to ore. Did they take their lands? Is Edo state speaking Igbo today? Did they install their rulers there just like Benin did in Lagos?. While you are there whipping up sentiments about the Igbos eying your lands, the Fulanis are busy carving up territories in your hinterland.ilorin comes to mind. Please you guys should save your hatred for the more potent threat to your existential survival. Your house is burning and you are busy exchanging words with your neighbour across the fence. I really wished you guys will open your eyes and see that you are almost on the verge of being swallowed up. Good luck |

Panda7: didn't he say igbo's have states in nigeria. Igbos are always there fighting yoruba in yoruba state. are igbo's and yoruba from the same region? Let me ask you in all honesty. Apart from some Igbo youths making jest that Lagos is no man's land, have any Igbo person carry arms to fight and attack you? Let's me sincere. Which tribe have gone to your villages, kill and maim your brothers and fathers, rape your sisters and mothers and try to chase you away from your farms? Is it the Igbo or the Fulanis? Why not face the truth and rescue your land. A man whose house is on fire is busy hunting grasshoppers? You in particular needs sense. A healthy dose of it |

You'll not understand because some of your senses are just fixed on POVERTY and you dont see opportunities during difficult situations. You made a valid point at the beginning and I was just appreciating how objective and calm you were until you resorted to insults. Firstly, the country would have still faced a terrible strait irrespective of who ever succeeded buhari, but here is where obi would have been different. Obi would have cut down the cost of governance. Just imagine Tinubu spending like we were in prosperous times. Imagine budgeting billions for the first lady car, buying a yatch worth billions, junketing all over the world with over-bloated entourage, wasting money at every given time. Budgeting billions for the VP and chief of staff office/residence. In a time like when Nigerians could barely feed? That the height of insensitivity! Gosh! It's just like a man who earns ,200k and is indebted to the tune 5 million with over 70% or his salary going to debt servicing yet the man is still taking more loans, buying clothes and Cars like nothing is happening. Tonididdyx: I went to UBA akpalpava branch in benin to the customer service desk. I noticed a man holding a cheque, I was shocked to see my full name, surname and middle name initials written on the cheque. I was stone shocked, I stepped back looked at the man, he was an elderly ( late or early 70s). First thought got to my head, " I have to touch this man somehow", to ensure it wasn't a ghost or anything mystical. I approached him and said, " Sir that's my name, surname and initials on your cheque sir. Are you sending me money? He laughed and said " That's my name too on the cheque" The UBA cashier was with her jaws dropped. The trio of us were shocked. Sadly I didn't continue further contacts with him, I lost sight of him before I was through in the banking Hall.
Till date... I still have a weird feeling that was me in the future!... Never seen such coincidence in my life, same place, same time. Almost similar story. it was 2004 and I was in a bank's hall. The cashier mentioned my name and surname and I stood up and started walking towards him. I noticed another guy was also walking towards the teller. We both got there same time and the teller was looking at the two of us in amazement. It turns out we both bear same name and surname but different middle name. SmartyPants: An undercover agent won't behave like that. The goal is not to be noticed - this guy actually made himself so noticeable, which is why someone still remembers him and his name till today.
The undercover agent is likely to behave as ordinary as possible. The only way an undercover agent might make himself noticeable is if his mission depends on it. For example, he wants to penetrate a secret cult - but even then he will behave normal in the context of normal cultists.
You wouldn't remember him for being a strange human. You are truly smart |

I meet a woman today , we vibe, connect and all but i'm just damn too scared to commit any woman no matter how good she is. I'm scared that if I continue this way I may likely find it really difficult to get married.
Seeing and experiencing different complains of men in real life and on the forum as made my commitment issues with women only worse. I'm currently working, fair pay, got my own place, I'm doing quite well for myself. Ive met different women this year that were good women, but I fear if I give my heart to them they may switch up, women are too complicated naturally to cope with.
This fear of commitment is seriously holding me back from getting a serious relationship. My only fear is if I continue this way I may not get married. I need the counsels of wise nairalanders to advice me on what to do concerning this commitment issues cause it quite depressing no lies.
I form hard guy, but deep down I really be craving for a romantic relationship, I'm just too scared to give any woman my heart cause ive been hurt in past relationships . So hurt that even when I had a good woman I couldnt see it and I lost her.
Your Wise advice and counsels would be deeply appreciated thanks. Firstly, coming from a sage Like me, there is no good woman anywhere. Just choose your poison and live with it No woman is 100 percent perfect. Women pretend a lot. Even the ones you called good ones in your post, over 70 percent of them are just putting up a good front Look for a woman that respects you. That's the most important thing to a man.
