You might have heard the wrong message from your school. I really don't think NYSC has a business with your WAEC unless you have a date of birth related issue. Your WAEC result therefore authenticate your real age.

Where you might have an issue is when the name on jamb's portal doesn't match that of the school's record.

You have to be careful before making another wrong choice. But if you insist on changing your name with JAMB, you have to apply for correction of name. You'll then pay the sum of #2,500 and submit an indemnity to your school, alongside some other relevant documents as the WAEC result, birth certificate, etc.

Your vice chancellor has to sign the indemnity and the indemnity transported to JAMB's office in your state. JAMB then sends it to the national headquarters in Abuja. When that is done, you're good to go.

Looking at the process, it might take a while to be completed. Make confirmation of what exactly your problem is before jumping into another problem.

Thank you for your response. The issue I have with my Jamb result is that there was a transposition error e.g my middle name appeared as the first and the school said that NYSC wouldn’t accept it.

Please i need an urgent help. The names in my WAEC Cert and Jamb Cert are different. E.g my Waec contains only my first and last name while my jamb contains my three names and my school said that NYSC wouldn’t allow me mobilize with the discrepancy. Please how can i correct the name on my jamb to reflect just my first and last name so that it matches what is on my waes result. Thanks for your help.

Glory be to Almighty God for His mercies endures forever. I was granted my visa today despite the denial two weeks ago. Thanks to everyone who makes out time to vet transcripts on this forum, you guys rock. My transcript is as follows :

I return all glory, honour and adoration to God for it just by his grace alone, not how well you can blow grammar, was jittery at a point but God showed his mercies.

@simonwales and other gurus after initial rejection, kindly advise the type of ammendments or changes you can make that will be convincing enough especially denial under section 214 (b). I was denied two weeks ago but I'm going for another interview tomorrow with same details as I have nothing to change but if asked if anything has changed, my proposed response is 'yes, after personal review of the last interview i feel the responses i gave as my intentions were not clear enough to the VO but i hope to be more precise this time' please does this make sense or what better ways can this question be tackled?

@ op, most guys and even some women do this and as such won't see it as a big deal. Talk calmly to your husband about it to know if there's anything you can do to help, probably increase your intimacy with h but if your sexual intimacy with him is on the high side and he still self services then he is addicted to sex and there's really nothing you can do. Just plead with him not to do it while you are around or beside him.

@nneejima, you need to set the records straight with the boy in the presence of your husband, why will he eat without washing his plates? Do you have a househelp that does house chores? Tell him to excuse you whenever you need to have private time with dh, then why can't his discussions be in the living room? Do your own siblings enter your room at will? Why does he share undies with your dh? Tell dh to buy his own for him if need be. I don't think it's a big deal if he asks your hubby for money without telling you, it's in your dh's place to inform you of his brother's demands before giving him a dime. @eyinjuege, you nailed it. It is painful when a child chooses to be the black sheep of the family but as parents you need to make some firm decisions against that child at some point especially a man of 37 years, enough of the pampering and impunity.

He needs to move out of your house ASAP. Rent a place for him and let him start leaving alone, at 37 he needs to learn to be more responsible and he can't achieve this if he's under your roof. Does he have a girlfriend, if not advice him to get, sometimes it helps. Don't blame yourself for his unruly behaviour, you trained him the same way you trained his successful siblings. He is solely responsible for the way he chooses to leave his life.
Another assistance you can render is to enrol him in a rehabilitation home for a minimum of 6 months, hopefully he will change. He is no longer a kid so the idea of sitting him down and preaching to him whenever he misbehaves is out of it, get him arrested and locked up anytime he touches you or his father, don't allow him to kill you before your time because if he does he will continue to leave his life.
