Yes and the Nigerian Midstream and downstream petroleum regulatory authority NMDPRA still pays better Nigerian Upstream petroleum regulatory Commission NUPRC because it's PEF's salary structure they adopted. Most of the DPR members of staff are in Upstream (NUPRC) while those of PEF are mostly in (NMDPRA). The changes aren't really much despite the merger. what really happened is reorganization and redefining of roles and responsibilities so as to make more revenues for the government.

Let me update you bro. Some persons resumed @NNPC two weeks ago. Through the backdoor though but NCDMB haven't called a large number yet for us to conclude that the recruitment has gone the way of EH component of NNPC. Trust me the recruitment isn't over yet even though you obviously wants it to be. Happy Sunday!!!

Until NNPC GT recruitment was closed out, there was information about it, in fact, the GMD spoke about it during one of their town hall meetings. When they decided to trash the EH component, the management just decided to maintain a sealed lips. As for NCDMB or whatever it is, the pattern has been established!

A top staff confirm to me on LinkedIn that the are seriously understaffed. Most of their department & division are lacking staff including state offices, the ES had to seek for secondment from NNPC staff to fill in capacity, the recruitment will be concluded as soon as the Governing Council issue a go ahead in their next meeting. HR department has concluded necessary arrangements for interview. The interview will hold as to determine Individual capacity and also letting those who won't get the job to be aware cos some candidate didn't meet requirement for age & qualification. Some candidate had different age on thier certificates.. he told me they deployed a software to detect age falsification according to document uploaded (start and end date) and there would be room for candidates to present additional certificate which was not uploaded...

Maybe he is just entering the labour market lol

The thing is anything is possible in Nigeria but the recruitment is definitely in its final stage now. He only gave you information within his clearance level. You did well though. Gracias

So while at work today I sited one of our NCDMB staff that we have stalked on social media in Abuja today..lol, anways I asked him about the recruitment, he stated that the government is the major cause. I was like so what's the way forward , he said its either dy do a new recruitment or we shud just forget about it..that after all dy can't hold them accountable because dy didn't come out plain that they were recruiting, that the test doesn't stand for any shortlisting, nobody has gotten the job..lol it is well! Just thought I should share this info

Any letter now is just a waste of time because the people that are meant to fight for the common Man will be compensated with one or two slots and look away while the nepotism will be on play. DPR 2016 recruitment is an evident of how nepotism is now the other of the day in our MDAs.

Very correct, one of the ways it could turn out, however, we can never tell, anything is possible. This is life, i was part of DPR 2010 recruitment, after interview, those guys wanted to act funny and scrap both the NNPC and DPR but i remember it's an open letter we contributed money and wrote to diezeni and Goodluck that served us. though lots of didn't make it to the agency, a lots of us made it including some friends who didn't know anybody, even someone i know who knew the then former DD-Engineering & Standards didn't make it.. this life has no sure pattern, some of us can push with connections and it fails while some will push with stubborn faith and it will work... So my brother/sister always do your part in this world and leave the rest to act out.

But the waver is expiring next month. We will keep our fingers crossed then.

It is incorrect to say they(nairalanders) are not socially fit to take updates as they are, meaning you're generalizing it. If we can't get updates then what's the essence of this thread.

I personally would love to see how everything pans out as far as this recruitment is concerned and it means every updates is welcome irrespective of how it sounds but then again I will keep my fingers crossed and be watching in HD.

Yes, I am damn right about it when I said it to like 3 NCDMB hopefulls that the updates they got recently, which corroborate with that of Newcastle shouldn't be dropped on the NCDMB Nairaland thread. Reason being, they (Nairalanders) are not socially fit enough to take updates as exactly received from the source.

If at all you have that urgency to drop an update, Pls be advise to use administrative languages like 'soon' and etc.

I repeat some fellows here are not fit enough as they are proving it daily that they lack that strength to handle life turbulence.

From your post, two of your siblings had degrees in computer Science and I hope you know that IT is now the best paying job in world presently.

Alot of IT firm are recruiting people remotely and you get to work from any part of the world with huge pay but you need that training that will equiped you to global best practices.

Tell your siblings to learn software engineering or cloud/DevOps Engineering. DevOps Engineering is presently the highest paid specialty in IT industry. You can Google the average pay of a DevOps Engineer.

They can be practicing as they seek for job in our saturated labour market.
