People no longer get FG jobs via merit in this country. The person that got his via merit here must have finished school in the 80's or early 90's or must be in APC and trying to deceive people.
Getting a FG job nowadays is either you buy slot or you have connection or someone just decide to help your life out of pity!

I will tell you categorically, with all my chest and from my bitter and terrible experience, that there's nothing like merit in this country again. I was involved in NNPC, NSITF, Civil service etc.

Passed NSITF test, was called for interview twice. Checked the list before it was sent to FCC, I was the highest in all aspects from my state. Names sent to FCC. Still went to check from the secretary to the commissioner, my name was still intact. When it was finally sent to NSITF, my name wasn't there anymore. I saw a guy who collected 2 Apl for his madam's daughters who were based abroad and never took part in any of the process. We paid about 2k or so in the bank for the recruitment and I still have my receipt.

NNPC 2011 recruitment, I passed test, did interview. We even formed a group on naira land. None of us got it. They stopped the process, but were giving APL underground via connections.

Northern top government officials help their fellow northern job seekers. Southern officials, most especially Igbos, find it so hard to help their people. I once contacted Ngige and senator utazi, what they told me was heart breaking. I even took different wine to utazi in Enugu, and he told me point blank that if it's because of job, I should take it back. The commissioner representing my state in FCC is the worse.

My Oga that's not correct o. They are currently one of the highest paid government owned oil and gas agency in Nigeria.
The present administration has really given them meaning and reason to thrive with good motivations.

They don't print money for there pls, GT salary is about 216k, if you are posted outside the tower to a partner company, you will earn an additional allowance of 70-100k, if you are lucky, the company you're posted could pay you some allowances too. Then an annual upfront of about 3mila. Nothing more

It isn't a must that you must talk and trust me if you know what oil and gas agencies are paying you won't come and be typing this but for starters NCDMB and NNPC are dream jobs.

NCMBD that pay less than FIR and still people are paying 2-3 mil for same FIR. but you know people na, anything with oil and gas on it them go rush . not knowing that even does NNPC 2019 GT never collect even 1mill as upfront till today. and am sure NCDMB UPFRONT no fit reach that of NNPC, AND from what i had from 2019 GT employee there, NNPC upfront no reach 2mil for GT.

by the way, it all depend on willingness and desperation of job seeker. if its ok for you, go for it.

My people, yesterday the Senate passed the PIB.
But in my opinion, the content of that PIB bill was a pure Coup against the South.
It was a ploy to further Rob the South that produce the oil and pay the North that doesn't produce a single drop of oil.

Firstly, the Senate cut down compensations payment for Host communities from 5% to 3% against the cries of southern Senators.

Secondly, the Senate have redefined host community to mean any community that oil pipeline passes thru. By implication, host communities will now imply all states that don't produce oil but have oil pipeline passing thru it. This automatically makes some Northern states that don't produce oil to become host communities and henceforth benefit from compensations.
Before now, host communities were communities that produce oil or have petroleum facilities/ installations in their land.

Thirdly, the Senate came up with a new Fraudulent jargon called "Frontier Exploration", for which they have earmarked 30% of NNPC profits to be servicing these Frontier Explorations yearly.
Mind you, all the so called Frontier Exploration projects are domiciled in the North : - Chad basin, Borno etc. So automatically, 30% or more (totally about 48%) of NNPC profits will be going to the North that do not produce a single drop of oil, while the remaining will be shared be the Federating States.
Pls tell me what else is the best definition of FRAUD??

My big worry is that, while many Southern Senators failed to stop this robbery of a bill on the floor of NASS, many Southern Nigerians are busy celebrating the passage of this fraudulent PIB because they do not know the content of the bill.
Once this PIB is ratified on the Joint session of Senate and Representative, it automatically becomes a law once Buhari gladly signs off.
From thence, the North will fight tooth and nail and resist any attempt to amend it.

This is how the North have been robbing the South , and enjoying more from.oil proceeds since independence.
If you ask me, I would say Southerners should call their Representatives and Lawmakers at the NASS to reject the ratification of that PIB , but call for proper amendment before ratification when they have joint session.

It's bothers me atimes when I hear people here saying FIRS us over staffed lol. The same FIRS that will take two weeks above to get a response on official stuffs.
I don't believe firs is close to over staffing. There office might look choked but the staffs on ground is not enough to attend to work in most of there main MSTO's.

You forgot hundreds of staffs equally retire every year, if you're talking about them recruiting every year.

Look at the content of the appointment letter one can clearly see that the taskforce even called themselves an organization as in IMAN organization meaning they are even telling the gullible graduates collecting the scam appointment letter that they are not a recognized agency by the federal government but because some so called graduate cannot apply simple logic they continue to fall for the scam. I just wonder I swear. I told someone to stay clear off this taskforce scam since 2017 but he refused.

Most times I do reminds him on the taskforce scam just to get on his nerves.

How I wish u exercised a little patience till today since d man said all of you will go together to the HQ today and then u arrange for an under cover security in case of any fowl play. Let us look outside d box; The man might be a scammer and he might be real, today should have unravelled him but u went too fast and even if he is real d game is over already because d staff u met at firs HR must have taken ur name 4rm that letter and contacted d agent on d danger signal u have sent out already. As for d staff, I hope u were not expecting him to tell u letters have been given out when this is not an open recruitment?. The politicians are even aware of most recruitments before the advertisements. They only swing in to action during the final stages to collect APLs and clean mouth.

The more a recruitment linger the higher its chances of getting attention from more politicians. So stop blaming the innocent candidates and blame the actual culprits.

Their salary was reviewed and implemented recently, some guys also resigned and joined DPR before the new salary structure.
No need asking sir, it's very cool. They are good in capacity building, that's why people mistook NCDMB as interventionist agency. You'll be trained and retrained. Their ups, 13 & 14th month is enticing, very good.

1. Those that have interest in NPA, they have given my friend appointment letter. He is handling his medical at the moment. identity card has been giving to him.

2. As for SEC and FIRS, they are yet to dispatch the appointment letters already typed as i earlier stated. Not yet time for dispatch. I'll give the location of documentation if I don't change my mind.

3. Please don't ask me about PEF because I won't answer anymore. I think is because the oil and gas industry is Engineering based industry plus most engineers do PGD in Management these days and that's why they are also taking up management roles in the industry these days.

I personally know of someone who is an engineer but works as an HR Analyst in an oil company (entry level).

That may not obtain in government agencies, but they also give preference to engineers. I think it's because engineers are very versatile and most can adapt to almost any role.

Connections or not. The oil and gas agencies in Nigeria gives more priorities to Engineering candidates in every recruitment.
This has been their trends, you can as well ask around but that is the bitter truth.

Who told you there is no connected person for every available position? Who told your those courses you so believed can't be done by even an uneducated persons. If you applied to a role in social sciences where little training or no training is needed, Just unfollow this trend: go and focus on other things lol. If you applied for a specialized role along the line of engineering, chemistry etc. start your prayer and fasting
