So I realized some people seem to countering my suggestion that "With 10million, these guys are made for life", arguing that 10million isn't a lot of money.
My first statement to them is whoever 10million naira is not a lot of money to in a country where some live below $1 a day and some people work for a month to be paid 5k, no amount of money will ever be a lot to them. And that's how you know ingrates.
I spoke as someone with knowledge of the music industry who knows that a lot of talents abide in the street but are constrained by lack of funds.
Another thing is that music will drain you of your fund, leave you hungry and teach you real life lessons. So any artiste wey dey street wey see 10million no suppose misuse am.
Now let me break down this money to support why anyone doing music and got 10million should be made.
If I got 10million today, I will divide the money into two. Invest 5m into my music and keep 5m somewhere.
Of the 5m I'm investing in music, take 1m and meet a good producer cum mixer(don't go for Youngjohn, Kelp vibes or killertunes them that will ask for 10m for one beat) and create an album or an EP. Give it good beat and quality mixing.
Out of the tracks you made, look for which one you think will be fans favorite and shoot a music video for it. Make sure the video doesn't take more than 1m.
Now upload your album or EP on streaming platforms and release it to the world. And upload the video on YouTube. Data is the new oil.

I'm a programmer working remotely for an European based company where I earn 450 to 500k monthly depending on the exchange rate. I stay in the Eastern part of the country where cost of living is more affordable so I make a decent savings monthly as I cut my expenses as much as possible.
I have issue with making a decision between settling down here in Nigeria and running a tech company(which I have a already started investing on for some months now) or channeling my energy to pursing the Canada express entry program.
I seem to be too comfortable but the way people are leaving the country it makes it to be as if we do not have hope in the country and the only hope is traveling abroad. I have some friends who are doing better than me here in Nigeria that had already left.
Currently I have built a bungalow where I stay with my family, and also started foundations for block of flats which I intend to rent after completion, but recently I started having cold feet if I should continue with the building of block of flats and at the same time building my tech company or just abandon it and divert my energy to Canadian express entry so I can move and start afresh in Canada with my family.
Please I need your advice on how to choose my next step.

Move only if you have a good job waiting for you in canada..if not focus on ur tech company in naija and keep accumulating properties.

(well... this one is late because if you used 4M to buy dollar at the beginning of the lockdown, by now you would have more than 6M) 4) Land.. then you put it out for LEASE (this is big business if you are in an industrial area) 5) health kits too 6) tech (setting up a dating or earning or news website or app is huge business) 7) real estate mobile printing press (a van that is converted to a mobile office and you can drive to campuses and print on a daily basis)... someone sold this business here on NL for 850k with gen and other stuff. 9) TRUCK business (this is a very big business because a company handles every other thing for you once you buy the truck at an installment of 1.5m) 10) YOU (why not learn skills that will make you so versatile for less than 500k and then use the 3.5 to establish yourself)
