~Bluetooth: '' reprensible''.so you chose to use just one word to summarize his action because he's igbo abi.i also do think you would use the same word when the victim is a yoruba.the matter is left for the prison authority to investigate and penalise anybody found as accomplice to the crime and concerning my comment,i believe charity begins at home.happy ? Why don't you check the meaning of reprehensible? That is one word that is more forceful than all the rubbish you have written so far on this thread. The question is could Ikechukwu have pulled through his scam from prison without prison officials' collaboration? Now please answer me directly, why did you turn Ikechukwu's matter into an Igbo matter? |

1) The middle belt- esp Kogi 2) Southwest states- oyo of course, upper Ondo, upper parts of Ogun (ijebu, sagamu, abeokuta) of course possibly osun and ekiti- if planning is right 3) some South east states- ebonyi and enugu- if planned right
basically I dont see much states being a place to live but rather a place for Gas and Oil honestly.
The south has many things wrong with it mangroves, wetlands and swamps, high population density- small land mass, land erosion, Floods - I dont see middle class families moving around those areas. Always spewing forth warped logic. Are the middle class people already living and investing heavily in Warri, PH, ABA, Nnewi, Onitsha, Uyo, Calabar and Yenagoa ( all places prone to flooding or erosion) all ghost? |

When we start putting the blames to where they belong, Nigeria might yet be a better place. I have already condemned his action by calling it reprehensible unless you are too daft to understand what that word means. You have yet to say why you turned Ikechukwu's action into an Igbo action. Bluetooth,
There is no such thing as Boko Njoko. What tribal name is that? Definitely not Igbo. That must be a mistake from the SUN newspaper in trying to write Bagunjoko. You can see that the reporter is not Yoruba, so apparently has problem with spelling a Yoruba name correctly. Boko Njoko=Bagunjoko. FACT.
Plus the main man who was sacked or redeployed from Kirikiri when ''Rev'' KING slept with somebody in prison was a Yorubaman, T. A. Ogunmola, who until the new postings was in charge of Maximum Security Prison Kirikiri. So the history/antecedent to aid corrupt prisoners is there. |

You will have to prove that there are Igbo warders in Kirikiri, just like I have proved that theoverall head of Lagos prisons, the specific head of kirikiri maximum prison and the PRO are all yoruba. Enjoyment1: In all, complacency from the authorities aided, and will continue to aid the likes of Prince Eze, even in places like the Customs, Nigerian Police Force, and the rest. Until people at the top hierarchy of these organisations live up to expectations, same is bound to replay itself in them.
CORRUPTION is replicated in every sector of the economy, and every tribe in Nigeria has a hand in it. Corruption or complacency is not synonymous to any ethnic group in Nigeria. Most Nigerians are guilty of it, and it is found in all tribes, irrespective of position. It can be more in one end, perhaps, because of population, advancement in skill, or even technological know-how etc, but it does not mean, anytime such is mention, it is one tribe, while the other is a Saint. That is the greatest fallacy of all time.
In summary, when issues come up, people should boldly apportion blame to the proper channel, without fear, favour, or tribalism. In Nigeria, just as one ethnic group may be notable in area where they have comparative advantage, the same ethnic group can be seen to be notorious in another. It does not mean, because one group produces more of 419ers, they are worthless, and nothing good can be attributed to them. If I may say, can one say, since Chinese products imported into Nigeria are fake, that all Chinese products the world over are fake? Can one also say, since one ethnic group in Nigeria imports more of these fake and sometimes adulterated products, that all they know to import are fake goods? Does that also mean that other tribes do not import fake goods from the same source? The issue of 419 is endemic in most Nigerians, and it cuts across all tribes. In any discussion, I expect learned people to contribute as people that are not from Nigeria, but were born and bred here. That way, a spade will be called a spade (and not that it is from the family of shovels). Tell that to Bluetooth specifically. |

At first, you won't accept the prison head had anything to with it then again you are saying he probably got some of ikechukwu's money and told his boys to do his bidding. Am confused mehn, what is actually your arguement about, are you saying he should not be blamed for looking the other way while Prince Eze perfected his scheme? Besidez, it is doubtful that a head that can collect bribe and ask his boys to make him comfortable wont be in the know of this kind of scheme cos Eze would be using a lot of his help while he hopes to get his own share when Eze eventually pulls through. The kirikiri prison head should be sacked and prosecuted, together with all his boys. That man is very corrupt. He also allowed Bode George to host owambe in prison. Super crook • Convict serving jail term inside Kirikiri dupes banker N12m By MATTHEW DIKE Thurday, June 24, 2010
A prisoner, who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) and sentenced to 15 years inprisonment in 2008 over advance fee fraud related offences (aka ‘419’), has defrauded a banker of N12million from his cell at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison, Lagos.
The prisoner, Ikechuwku Ogbu (alias Prince Eze), investigations reveal, created a 419 syndicate from inside the inner recesses of the prison, with which he had been duping unsuspecting members of the public. His forte is what is known in advance fee fraud as love scam. He advertised himself as an eligible bachelor who desperately needs a wife.
Those who responded to adverts, ended up adding to the long list of his victims. However, the riddle which EFCC operatives are trying to resolve is how a prisoner managed to place an advertorial in the love links page of the Vanguard Newspapers of March 7, 2009. In the advertorial, Ogbu wrote: “I am Prince Eze, 46, from Anambra State, live in Lagos. Genotype AA, Blood Group 0 needs a working class business lady between 39-45 to settle down with on 07057928637 or 07085350598. Several women that were desperately looking for husband called these numbers.
One of them is a lady, who works with the National Assembly in Abuja. After making contacts with her proposed spouse, she flew to Lagos, to ensure that others didn’t beat her to her prospective husband. She received the shock of her life when she landed at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja and no one was there to pick her.
This prompted her to call Ogbu, who now told her that he was actually detained in Kirikiri Prison by the EFCC over money laundering matters, whereas he is serving a jail term. He told the woman to come over to the prison to meet him. She did. On getting to the prison yard, she was accorded VIP treatment by the warders and this gave her the impression that Ogbu was an influential personality who was detained over a minor issue.
When Ogbu finally met her, he told the lady that theirs was love at first sight. He painted the picture of a blissful marital experience for the couple once he gets out of prison. The woman couldn’t believe her luck for getting a husband, a rich one at that, so cheap. While the woman was thanking God, Ogbu moved to the next stage of his plan to pull off a massive scam. He told her that he was a drug baron and that someone was sending $25 million to him from the United States, but that he was afraid of lodging the money in his own account for fear that it could be seized by EFCC.
The woman fell for the bait, and suddenly made it her business to look for an account for the fraudster. Instead of returning to her station in Abuja, she flew to Port-Harcourt to meet her brother-in-law, a manager with one of the new generation banks and told him about the business. The banker immediately flew to Lagos and met Ogbu. And the story changed. He said the person bringing the money from the US said he would not release it until he came out of prison.
The challenge now was for the banker to arrange his release which, supposedly entails bribing key officials of the prison service and the EFCC as well as the judge. He gave the bankers number to fake EFCC officials who were members of the syndicate.
They started calling the banker, demanding for all sorts of money (in millions). And he paid. At the end of the day, he lost over N12million to the fraudsters, yet Ogbu was not released neither was any payment in dollars received. At this juncture, he realized that he had been fleeced and reported to the EFCC. The commission’s investigations revealed that Ogbu lives like a king in Kirikiri Prison. Although he was not supposed to have access to telephone, five cell phones were recovered from the unrepentant prisoner when EFCC stormed the prison last Thursday, June17. It was also discovered that he had been receiving huge sums of money in the presence of warders.

I know he must be one fat man (with pot-belly), that has houses all over the states capitals in Nigeria. Let me surprise you, the man might have collected millions of Naira as his share, and ordered that, he (Prince Eze) be made comfortable. No doubt about that. Whatever tresspires thereafter, does that mean he is aware of every other stuff that happens around this Prince Eze, NO!. Does that exonerate the Prison head of not being a part of this crime, NO!. Court Jails College Provost Over N.7m Scam | Print | E-mail Written by Lanre Adewole, Abuja Saturday, 26 June 2010
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) disclosed that its prosecution of the Provost of the Federal College of Land Resources Technology, Kuru, Dr. Oluleke Ayoade Ogunsola, over a N700,000 fraud has seen the accused being jailed for two years on Friday.
A statement issued on Friday in Abuja by commission’s spokesperson, Mr. Mike Sowe, read: “The Provost of the Federal College of Land Resources Technology, Kuru, Dr. Oluleke Ayoade Ogunsola, has been convicted and sentenced to two years imprisonment by the High Court of Plateau State sitting in Jos.
“Dr. Ogunsola was charged to court by the ICPC in 2006 on a four-count charge under Section 25 of the ICPC Act for making false statement.”
During the course of the trial, the prosecution counsel established that in March 2006, the provost applied for the sum of N700,000 ostensibly to rehabilitate the college farm and for the hosting of college games. Another sum of N700,000 was collected by Ogunsola through Mr. Chube Audu Ayuba, an official of the college, for the same purpose.
It was, however, discovered that the accused person did not use the total sum of N1.4 million for the rehabilitation of the college farm and hosting of games as contained in the applications for the funds, but diverted the money to his personal use.
In july 2006, after investigation into the matter had commenced, the provost hurriedly retired the cash advanced to him, in his futile attempt to establish that he actually spent the money as required. In his jugdment delivered Friday morning, Justice Edward Dakwak convicted Dr. Ogunsola on counts 1 and 2 and sentenced him to two years on each of the two counts, with an option of fine of N100,000 on each count.” |
