This whole thing is all power play. They want a place at the table. It's about team Tinubu, it's about their share, it's about corruption.
Is this the issue with the economy? Prices of food is beyond the reach of Nigerians. Is this what they want us to talk about?

Politics › Re: Names And Photos Of 5 Out Of The 21 Released Chibok Girls (Photo and list) by ndcide(m): 7:45pm On Oct 13, 2016 |
Progressive01: Since news broke about these girls' release, I've been trying, albeit in vain, to wrap my head around how the brain of an average iPad Yuuf functions.
Check these out:
1. They claim the saga is a hoax, that it never happened, yet they criticise the president for being unable to rescue the girls!
Question: how does one rationalise those two scenarios if it isn't borne out of madness?? Why should someone who was NEVER kidnapped or abduction need to be rescued??
2. They are angry only 21 girls were released and are critical of the progress made so far, YET believe the incident of their abduction is a hoax!!
Question: How do you demand the release of a people whose abduction you never believed happened in the first place??
3. They call Lai Moh'd a liar for saying "no prisoner was given for the release of the girls", and believe Red Cross' and other account accounts that said 4 Boko Haram commanders were freed for the release of the girls.
Question: What manner of brain waves does one generate to possibly reconcile these nuances?? How could one not believe anyone was abducted and at the same time believe some terrorists were released from jail to secure the freedom of the abductees??
What exactly is wrong with Natanyahu's siblings
Don't you just feel sorry for them?? Hell of a terrible way to live. You really need to get a life. |

Politics › Re: Southern unity Towards 2019 Elections by ndcide(m): 9:40pm On Oct 12, 2016 |
patriotic9jaboy: This is to appeal to every southerners that our future is in our hands. A united south is what we need now to stand against northern oppression and divide and rule tactics. We must ensure we work together to restore power to the south by 2019. The north obviously has a grand plan of retaining power for so long and this is obvious in the way Tinubu is been put in check so as to limit his influence in the party decisions and made irrelevant in the scheme of things. We never expected such treatment from the north after all we did to support Buhari in the last election. Oyegun is obviously been used to fight a proxy war with Tinubu by the born to rule caliphate up north who will do anything to render his power bloc handicap so as to ensure their grip on power. We need the support our SS/SE brothers to make this happen. Lets us unite and forget all grievances. A united south can wrestle power away from the north with the support of Christian minorities in the middle belt and the north. GEJ was a bad president contrary to our thoughts in 2011 when we supported him massively with our votes. He failed woefully and corruption thrived to the highest heavens during his tenure. Contrary to the believe of our SS/SE brothers, yoruba's did not vote Jonathan out because of hatred or betrayal. He simply under-performed and did nothing for the SW region and even boasted that Igbo's are the backbone of his presidency forgetting that the SW supported him massively in 2011. Buhari appeared to be the messiah but so far, the hardship in the land is so unbearable and there is no end in sight to the present predicaments facing us as a nation. Buhari has no economic blueprint and his style of governance is archiac and filled with bad policies like banning forex for importation of consumer goods and releasing the same scarce forex for Islamic religious pilgrimage. It's a bad situation we are in and we need to co-operate to undo this mistake in 2019. Every one is facing hardship and bearing the brunt of inflation and recession irrespective of our tribes and regions. This is why we need the support of our SS/SE brothers in 2019 to vote buhari out. Let's form an alliance and forget past mis-deeds. We are better united in the south than been ruled by a primitive caliphate who believed they are born to rule without positive results....
God bless SW /SS and SE
like aressa, omenka/progressive01, modath, sarrki
Cc: firefire, blueto Honestly, what you are saying is near impossible. GEJ was bullied and we know it. Forget what some popular nairaland writers will tell you. As far as the SS is concerned, no body will put his resources into that. Not even Amaech or Oshomole. So it's dead on arrival. |

Politics › Re: APC Youths To Oyegun: You Betrayed Our Confidence- The Nation by ndcide(m): 10:45am On Oct 12, 2016 |
fiizznation: Of course that's what they will want you to believe which is entirely lies. What happened was, tinubu brought his candidate for the governorship election, he never wanted the party to run it's primary election as the party traditions demands, he just wanted the party to give his candidate an automatic ticket without any contention or opposition from anybody. When oyegun didn't buy into that impunity, tinubu began to unleash all sorts of tantrums on oyegun{the party chairman}. Even the vice president wasn't happy with tinubu's attitude but Mr lord over{tinubu} doesn't want to have any of it. In his foolish dictionary, his candidate MUST just be given the ticket without any form of opposition.
Mr president's attention was even drawn that he had to talk to both parties{oyegun and tinubu} to settle their little misunderstanding, but Mr lord-over didn't want to have any of that. He just must teach oyegun a very hard lesson that he shouldn't never disrespect the boss. It was when all these dramas were going on that Atiku had to step in. Of course he bought off the delegates that were supposed to participate in the voting process, and that's how the ondo governor candidate was produced.
The fact still remains that tinubu lost the battle but the man don't want to move on. This was the same stupid thing he did to buhari when the ministers were about to be nominated. And am so glad that buhari didn't allow himself to be someone else's puppet.
Tinubu should seriously watch it because fashola as far as am concerned is currently more influential than him both in the country and outside the country.
I usually don't agree with you politically, but in this one, we happen to be on the same page and you were quite forthright with your position. Honestly speaking. It's not because I'm so interested in what happens in that party but because I dislike this overbearing, big masquerade syndrome. Also we've engaged top media men here in Lagos and they've said the same thing. I don't need to mention names. Tinubu in his heart knows this. Look, some of the men speaking against Tinubu on this issue are people close to him as his wife... Fact! No sentiments here. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did Jesus Curse The Fig Tree? by ndcide(m): 2:29pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
hopefulLandlord: So, Jesus is walking from Bethany and he’s feeling a bit peckish. He encounters a fig tree, but unfortunately it is barren as it’s the off season for figs. Annoyed, Jesus demands the fig tree bear him fruit, however the fig tree doesn’t respond (it’s a tree), so Jesus, in an act of uncharacteristic rashness, curses the fig tree to death. This story is bizarre for many reasons, but mainly for how little it means to the Jesus story and how Jesus seems to react so harshly. OK, so he’s hungry, and we all get a little cranky when hungry, but come on, the fig tree had done nothing wrong. This just seems like abuse of powers to me.
The moral of this story? I honestly can’t think of one. This story seems so unimportant and purposeless yet both Mark and Matthew mention it so it must have some importance.
The best I can think of is: don’t disobey Jesus, even if you’re an inanimate tree. You seem to believe in the power of Jesus Christ to curse a tree and it died immediately. That same Jesus is the same yesterday, Today and for ever. You'll experience the power of Jesus Christ in your life. Amen. |
