Back in 2012 Timaya made blog headlines with the purchase of a Bentley. The music star was one of the first wave of Nigerian celebs to own the luxury whip.

Fast forward 3 years and this is Timaya’s Bentley today, the front all wrecked after the singer was involved in an accident which occurred yesterday. The singer too to Instagram to shows pictures of his basket damaged Bentley.

The “Halleluyah” singer also thanked God that no lives were lost in the crash.

Some days back we told you about how singer Runtown and his label boss were being sued by Dynamic Minds League who say Runtown was in breach of his contract to perform at their annual concert in Anambra State. [READ HERE IF YOU MISSED IT]

The musician and his label have not responded to reports of the lawsuit, however we were sent the court documents and what it clearly shows is that Dynamic Minds League is suing Runtown and his label boss Okwudili Umenyiora are being sued for over 14 million naira.

Just a few days ago, Iyanya raised temperatures with a shirtless shoot but this time around the Triple MG singer is keeping it all the way covered & repping for the 3 major tribes in Nigeria in a new shoot to promote e-commerce brand Yudala.

Iyanya who has just released his third album, was recently named as the brand ambassador for the online retailer and in the promo shoot for the brand, he is styled in a corporate look and the traditional looks as well.

We told you earlier today that KCee had signed up to become the face of private local airline – Air Peace. [READ HERE IF YOU MISSED IT]

Shortly after he made the announcement about his new deal, he quickly released a succession of his ads for the airline on his Instagram page, one of the ads showed the Limpopo master sleeping…in the clouds & just like his fashion, his fans were not here for it!

Most of them said it looked like an obituary flyer, which is kinda ironic in light of the recent Skiibii hoax!

According to Sahara Reporters who broke the news, Joshua purchased the jet secretly in April a few months after a building collapsed at the premises of SCOAN in the Ikotun-Egbe area of Lagos. 116

Pastor TB Joshua’s jet has already allegedly been taken for a spin. In June, it left the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos on a whirlwind of South America and onward to Kentucky in the United States.
The jet, which built in 2010, has a US registration number N131LKI
It was delivered to its first user in 2013 before making it to TB Joshua early this year.

Charly Boy has just gone on record to say out loud what everyone thinks about single women in Nigerian society! No matter how accomplished they are, they get no respect if they ain’t got no ring & husband.

The man who wrote the blueprint on being a controversial entertainer in Nigeria, took to his Facebook page today to pen his thoughts on this marry by force mentality of Nigerian women.

More women are career orientated and because of this, marriage somehow takes the back burner, however, no matter how successful a woman is in our society, irrespective of what she achieves in her career, or how financially independent she becomes, society still looks at it as incomplete. It is always expected that she crowns it all with a husband attached to her and where she fails to get married, her success is always tagged with a clause. Marriage is a Nobel institution even though we don’t think it’s meant for everybody. So what so you think, does marriage validate a woman, and do parental and societal pressure create this need for validation…… Share your thoughts.


This takes me back to earlier this year…a female friend of mine lives alone in Lekki. It’s one of those properties with six flats in it. The entire compound has a gateman, an old man in his late 50s. When my friend would politely ask the him to do things around the compound for her like put on the generator, pump water…most times he wouldn’t answer her, when he did he would do it with so much disrespect…grumbling. She wouldn’t have cared if he behaved the same way to the other occupants, he didn’t, with the other women (they were all married) he always jumped to open the gate, “Madam this, Madam that” when he saw them…

My friend’s boyfriend used to visit from time to time and the gateman’s attitude always changed when he saw him, he was respectful to her boyfriend and even greeted my friend whom on good day he wouldn’t greet.

So one day my friend had reached her wits end & got into a shouting match with Baba Security over something she asked him to do & he didn’t. When her boo came to settle it, the gateman started saying things like “he has a woman like her at home, after all what is a woman like her doing living alone, why isn’t she married?”

He only calmed down after the other men in the compound came out & threatened to sack him…

Moral of this long story is that single women get no respect in Nigeria & are treated like they have AIDS or something.

Who would have thought that 2Face Idibia who is currently worth millions made N10,000 from his first gig!!!

You may recall that 2Face got his start alongside Faze and Blackface in the group Plantashun Boiz. The music star who turns 40 later this month in a recent chat with The Net revealed that when he started out with the group they got paid a N10,000 fee, which they had to split among themselves.

This was in 1998 for the Rothmans Groove where they performed 31 shows at N10,000 per show. He further disclosed they invested the payment into their album and the purchase of new clothes to fit their rising status.

Lil Kesh has called out Nigerian rappers, imploring them to make music in their own languages, languages that the common man can understand.

The Shoki and Gbese singer says that he does music not just for the English speakers but also for those who do not speak English.

He said,


Put your culture into your rap then your fans will definitely listen to you. If you are an Igbo guy and you know you can put your Igbo dialect in to your rap, do it for your Igbo people. I am not doing hip-hop for those that understand English alone; there are some people in Osun state, Abeokuta and Ibadan that don’t really understand English to a certain point.

24 hours later and that Psquare/Soundcity Tv beef just won’t let up.

if you need a refresher here’s what happened: Yesterday Peter Okoye of PSquare put Soundcity on blast for not playing their videos, the music channel immediately replied saying they stopped playing their videos because “their support meant nothing to the duo” and later that night the group’s manager Jude Okoye fired back saying Soundcity stays blackmailing artistes & that they don’t pay royalties.

Today Soundcity came back reading the group & Jude for filth in an article title “Don’t Be A Judas. Jude”. The Music channel’s Station Manager Olamide Adedeji followed that article up with tweets schooling fans about their involvement in the group’s beginnings, while also dragging them!

This ish is messy & we hate to admit it but we are here for the entertainment!

Earlier today Iyanya who rocked our world yesterday with his shirtless photos, got into his feelings about some deep and personal stuff. Somebody must have done something to him, because he took to his Instagram and wrote, “I see you anonymous”, before pouring his heart out about friends who have betrayed him & gone to blogs with stories about him.

The most heartbreaking part, was when he disclosed that he did not shed a tear when his mother died because her death was the third death of a family member in two years. You may not know but Iyanya lost his father, brother and mother all within the space of two very short years.

So many people out there judge me ..,my friends go to bloggers to write things about me ..I have no friend ..I trust no one.I lost my family years ago it was the only thing that made me shed tears…the last was my mum and I remember not shedding a tear cos she was the third in two years… Nothing in this life can break me anymore .I want you to know that no man on earth has the power to stop what God starts and till you confess you will not find peace .I’m not perfect but I’m making changes.God bless every one who supports and prays for me.

Mr. X just showed off his latest Range Rover Jeep, Miss Y just posted her closet filled with Christian Louboutins & Mrs B just showed off her stack of $100 bills! Seeing things like that by your “friends” on social media can make you feel like you are failing in life…but guess what? A lot of it is fake & 2Face Idibia recognises that!

The music star who turns 40 in a few weeks, was on 96.9 Cool FM’s Good Morning Nigeria Show this morning to promote his #FORTYfied #AllStarTributeConcert and he had a lot to say about the fakeness of our social media generation.

He told the host Manny,


Everybody is feeling the need to show off something, you know. Make the next man look like oh they are not doing anything, ‘I am the one doing something’. So these days it is just trying to impress by all means, no matter wetin happen. So its taken away that real life. There’s too much fakeness going on.

2Baba you have said the truth! The competition is epic! Especially among celebs…I’ve heard of people borrowing cars, clothes, jewellery & some are even stealing and prostituting just so that they can flex on social media.

Davido & his billionaire dad Deji Adeleke along with his brother Adewale Adeleke and members of his entourage which includes HKN producer Shiizii and manager Kamal Ajiboye, over the weekend were in his hometown of Osun State to attend the maiden convocation of the Adeleke University, which is owned by his family.

The 22 year old pop star star also performed at the University’s convocation dinner which was hosted by the Pro Chancellor who happens to be his dad. Following that the HKN crew inspected on-going construction at the Adeleke University’s permanent site which is being describes as an “ultra modern educational facility worth many billions of naira.”
